Though that plan never worked out for him and, in the end he was left to strive on his own as best as he could in the environment he was left in. He explored the towns library and any books he could find in his Clan even if they were useless. Years on years of doing such things eventually led him into stumbling across a book that would help push him towards the thing he wanted the most. "The Basic Guide To The Astral Path" This book may not of been special to anyone in the long run but, it was to him because, it was his new beginning. With this new path available to him would he be able to push through all the obstacles and hardships waiting for him or in the end will he stumble and fall? The Gap

In the past that would have been something she wasn't capable of. Once she got locked down by him she would always try to stubbornly resist until it ended. So instead of fighting him head on she would take to a distance. Trying to keep as much room as possible between her and him. Deflecting her next attack Landel tried to close the space as soon as possible. With the spears range being longer he could put himself in some danger if he wasn't careful. "No, screw that." Landel didn't want to give her any kind of respect in this fight.

"She doesn't deserve it."

Knocking aside her spear again Landel dove in and tried to tear her into pieces. Lexia's flames surrounded her body in an attempt to protect her from Landel's attacks since she couldn't block. "He's not that stronger than me, yet." In terms of Astral Strength levels they were both pretty close to each other with only a one level gap. For most people that wasn't something that would be unbeatable. Here she was struggling with no end in sight against the wall that was Landel. All of her attacks failed to connect or were just knocked aside like it was nothing. It was frustrating and it wore down on her with every strike.

"I knew he was stronger."

Trying again and again, Lexia tried to make anything work as she thrusted her spear against the wall in front of her. At his legs, his torso or even his head, nothing she tried worked. "Why can't I reach him!?!" Scars and scratches started to cover her body with each attack she got hit by. Slowly blood started to flow down her arms and legs as Landel's attacks kept hitting her with nothing in return. "He's gotten even stronger though." A part of her was starting to regret her decision to not take the easy kill against him. If things kept up like this then there was no way she should beat him.

"No amount of desire or will can just close the gap."

Her flames weakened as Lexia was pushed back again. Grinding against the floor she stopped herself before she stumbled. Stabbing her spear into the ground she tried to catch her breath. Weirdly enough, Landel stopped attacking once Lexia had done that. Instead he just went to watch her with a slight grin on his face. "He's mocking me." It was clear his intent was to finish her off in a fight, not just attack and kill her while she was weak. Xilo watched from the side as he saw Lexia being toyed with by Landel. "We need to help her." There was no way she was going to be able to win this fight alone. Right now though they had to deal with all of the soldiers coming for them.

After getting knocked away they all got up and rushed towards them. Afraid to kill them Xilo and the others did their best to knock them out. The soldiers he had brought with him were also stuck in a battle as a giant mini war went on in the Castle grounds. "If we can break away, then we can help." Once they were away from the large group then things would be a lot easier. "Maybe a wall?" Running through ideas, Xilo built up his ice Energy inside of his palms. If they wanted to fight and not worry about anyone interrupting then it was best to divide everyone. Using a thick wall of ice that could stop any attempt from crossing.

"Anyone left on our side we'll take care of then help."

Finding a decent place to begin his wall he let everyone defend him as he set it up.

"I'm going to need a minute everyone, so protect me for now."

Yanyan ran down a hall with Levia right behind her. They were going out for a small mission so Levia figured it would be okay to bring Yanyan with her. "What do I do with her?" Rolling her eyes she was finding it more difficult to say no to the things Yanyan asked. At this rate if Yanyan wanted to stay Levia was seriously worried that she wouldn't be able to let her go. Running to Yanyan, Levia grabbed her hand as she made sure she was safe. They were going to be in the streets soon with a lot of people and didn't want her getting hurt.

"Be careful where you're going and stay with me okay?"

"Got it."

They had been asked to gather some materials for their first task. After they got all of their supplies they would be heading out to scout and clear a campsite. This City planned to move a large forward unit to that place once all of the monsters there were cleared out. "We're essentially the trash duty and decoy." If any of them died then it didn't matter, they weren't part of the army or numbers that mattered. So their strength was best used, then disposed of soon after. Once they were done they could take a break and come back though so that was nice. "Though more jobs will roll in." There were a few other important things that their boss wanted them to do as well.

"Looks like we're here. Be quiet and don't say a word."

Walking into a store Levia looked around at all the weapons surrounding them with worry. One wrong move and Yanyan could get herself seriously hurt. Holding her hand tighter Levia moved to the front counter where a man was resting. Taping on the counter she woke the man up with a grunt. "Sleeping at a time like this?" A bti displeased, the man woke up and faced the people who had so rudely woke him up from his nap. Once he saw who it was though any of his anger disappeared as he hurried to the back to grab a couple items without a word. He had already been instructed to hand over everything that they would need free of cost.

"If she tells him, I'll be dead."

If his boss figured out that he was slacking then he would kill him, no questions asked.

Enjoy.
