Fixing Some Mistakes

Blurting that out Felian flinched as she waited for a response.

"Sorry for what exactly? Tricking us or perhaps underestimating us. I'm curious as to what you'll come up with."

Hearing Felian say sorry so suddenly Xilo wanted to hear what she had to say. He had initially expected to just hear a casual good job or something along those lines but Felian looked slightly panicked saying that. Which left him intrigued as to why that was the case, calming down he waited until she finished speaking. Feeling the air grow tense Felian curled her hand up as she tried to think about what to say next. She thought about making an excuse or trying to squirm her way out of it but in the end decided to just tell the truth.

"I'm sorry I forgot to tell you the specifics of that place. It kind of slipped my memory when we were talking about the deal. I got a little excited and it just went poof. Thankfully it looks like it went well for you all so that's good. I would have been quite sad if I put you all in danger just because I forgot."

With as much sincerity as she could she held her head down as she spoke those words slightly embarrassed.

"Ahhh, no worries. Mistakes happen but try to make sure you don't forget stuff like that again alright, I really don't want to be unprepared like that once more if I don't have to be."

Faced with such an honest answer Xilo couldn't stay upset with her. Letting his slight anger melt away he quickly tried to get past it. "Everyone makes mistakes." Now that was over and they had passed her test, they could start working together. That was what mattered the most to him now. Though he would probably have to do more things for her in the future but that was alright with him. This was a part of the deal they made after all. Seeing as Xilo accepted her answer, Felian felt some relief as she moved on to the next subject at hand.

"So did you bring back what I asked of you?"

"Huh?"

Confused for a second, Xilo blurted that out.

"You know the Elemental Stones that were supposed to be there, did you get them, where are they?"

"There wasn't any of those there, we looked through the whole area and found nothing. Also if I'm being blunt I kind of thought you made those up just to trick us..."

Going through that Felian felt a slight headache starting as she listened to Xilo's words. "That asshole tricked me, dammit." Screaming in her head at the person who gave her that information Felian quickly cleared up this whole misunderstanding. Talking it over for the next couple minutes they talked back and forth about what had happened as Felian fixed another mistake she made. She had thought that man could have been trusted but it looks like she was wrong after all. "This is why you do things yourself." Shaking her head, she was a little sad she lost those Crystals but she had gotten something much better in return, a good partner to work with.

"So you were tricked then..Well that makes a lot more sense then. Did you want us to get something else for you in return then?"

"No, no, that's fine. You doing this task and following up on it is more than enough for me, I might ask things of you in the future but for now I don't mind starting our little deal. I'll start working on getting some of the things you need while working, though I don't know how long that will take. Is that okay with you?"

"Yeah, that's perfectly fine. I just wanted to get this out of the way for now so you could start working on it. We're going to go back to get some rest now. If you want to contact me, you know where I'm staying."

"Alrighty, I hope you four have a good rest. Good bye."

Saying their goodbyes, Xilo did a quick look over the store as they headed out. The whole time Xelfia forced herself to keep her mouth shut as they talked. She wanted to know what the deal's specifics were but she figured Xilo would tell them with time. Ignoring her burning curiosity, Xelfia grabbed Xilo's hand as they walked. Feeling some softness enter his palm Xilo saw Xelfia beside him as he smiled and squeezed back while they walked. Soon Tearia walked up and grabbed his other free hand leaving Relia to grab onto the back of his shirt as the four of them awkwardly walked back home avoiding stares with a bit of darkness energy.

"You seem happy Xilo, think your little plan is going to work out?"

"I don't know but I hope so. Felian seems quite good at what she does for the most part so with time I hope we can grow together."

"I see, well that's good then. I know you wanted to take a break from it a bit but I assume you've been thinking about Dracal Hall too. Any plans for that?"

"Haaa...I think that's something I'll take care of soon. For now I just want a break from that place still."

"Fine with me, I just figured I'd ask we'll I had the chance."

"You can always ask me anything though at any time?"

"Even while we're snuggled up in bed by all three of us?"

"Uhhhm...."

"That's what I thought."

Laughing to herself she enjoyed their peaceful walk back to the Inn. Right now Xelfia was quite happy with the way things were going. "Keep it up Xilo." Seeing Xilo's growth had made her quite happy. Going from that boy in the forest she met by chance to exploring the world together as lovers. "Though some mishaps joined us." Giggling she looked to Tearia and Relia as thoughts flew through her head. She knew what she had to do next as they walked.

"Tearia has already been honest with herself, now for Relia to do the same."

Enjoy.
