Cure Complete

Calling Xilo and the rest back in, Tearia gently poured the purple liquid into a large clear vial as they entered. "Hopefully this works." With the Selin plant obtained everything should be fine. Feeling exhausted Tearia didn't have time for much other thoughts as she handed it to Aeon and explained what to do. At most each patient should only need one spoonful of it or else they might over inflate their energy. Selin was meant to purify and replenish and too much of it was a poison just like their current sickness. She didn't want to see someone overdosed and die because of a mistake.

"This should be enough for everyone, they only need a spoon each. Anymore and you might risk other problems so just keep that in mind when you start giving it to them."

"Thank you Tearia."

Grabbing the vial he felt the weight of it in his arms as he stood there. For a split second he thought about questioning her on how safe this really was but after thinking about it he stopped. He saw how much work she had put into this and doubting her now would just be plain rude. "There's a difference between caution and being a jerk." Holding his tongue he bowed as he used both hands to carry the vial to the doctors. He had questions to ask but Tearia was tired and patients were waiting for them. He couldn't let her struggle to do it, be for nothing.

"Alright you four, I'll be going now and I'll be back in a bit. Feel free to rest here if you'd like. Until I return, bye."

"Good luck, Hopefully it goes well."

Seeing Aeon off Xilo pulled up a chair for everyone and sat down next to Tearia. Watching her slouch down onto the desk Xilo held back a laugh as he rubbed her back. "It looks like this is over now." He didn't want to get ahead of himself but he trusted Tearia. "Now what?" If everyone was healed now would they continue trying to find the culprit behind this or would they move on to other more safer jobs. That was something Xilo had been thinking about ever since he handed that flower to Tearia. Whoever was behind this wasn't someone Xilo's group could just take on by themselves.

"What to do..."

Whispering that to himself, he watched as Tearia fell asleep without so much as another word. "Get some good rest, you deserve it." Taking his hand off her back he turned to the other two to see Relia had fallen asleep in Xelfia's lap. "So does Relia." Now it was just him and Xelfia awake together. With the moonlight beginning to shine down on them Xilo smiled as he leaned back on his chair. Ever since she had returned they didn't get any alone time together and while this didn't quite count, it was good enough. Sitting in silence Xilo didn't speak as he waited for Xelfia to say something.

"It's been a while."

"It certainly has, we've seen to have grown an extra set of bodies."

"Does that surprise you Xilo?"

"A little bit."

He never thought Tearia would be back beside him nor Relia. A part of him felt like it was just going to be him and Xelfia forever but that was changing too. From by himself to beside Xelfia and now he had two more to worry about. He was quite worried what would happen to him if they continued to grow. "Hell there's even Zilan's group." His world was expanding at a rapid pace he didn't think possible. It was a little much when he thought about it. He was still weak and unsociable yet these people trusted in him or loved him. "Maybe I'm growing full of myself though." Shaking his head he laughed off the worry as he stood up and went to Xelfia. Gently he removed Relia from her and put her next to Tearia before turning back and grabbing Xelfia's hand.

"How are you not surprised?'' is the question I want to know. Maybe my world is growing fast but that also means yours is as well. We're in this together after all."

Taking Xilo's hand she stood up as looked up at his handsome face before burying her head in his shoulder.

"I am surprised but I'm more scared than anything else."

"Why's that?"

"The unknown is always scary but as long as you're with me I think I'll be okay. Promise to keep me in check though?"

Grasping her head he pulled her back as he tilted her chin up and looked her in the eyes. Right now they were the clear and calm fire he remembered. "No beast eyes." He wouldn't forget how violent Xelfia was against those people. It was his own wake up call telling him that while Xelfia may seem wise and tough, she really wasn't. Just like him she would break down in pieces if he didn't put a stop to it. He didn't want it to happen again but if it happened once it would again. He just didn't know how he would handle it when the time comes once more.

"I promise I'll do my best."

Staring at her pink lips that pouted cutely he felt a hunger as he tilted his head down and kissed her soft lips for a second before pulling away.

Meanwhile Aeon slowly delivered a set amount of the cure Tearia created to each doctor along with her instructions. Making sure everything was good he let them do their work as they slowly injected it into the patients. With each passing minute all the doctors slowly watched as each patient began to heal. Unlike before where they just stalled their demise this was actually helping them and fighting back at whatever was inside them. With joy they all eagerly awaited the results after more time.

"Good, looks like it's working."

After he finished handing out all the liquid he could Aeon made his way back towards Xilo's group.

Enjoy.
