What makes you think you can ever do me right?

Mainstream media had quickly picked up the story of Y/n's disappearance. Senju was running on a treadmill at the gym when the news story broke across the screen above her head. She fumbled, almost falling mid-sprint and stopped the machine. Plugging headphones into the treadmill, she wanted to be able to hear what the tv was saying. There were currently no clues into who could've been responsible for the twenty-five year old's disappearance and police were urging the public that if they had information to contact the department immediately. Senju was quick to leave the gym and head to Bonten's building. Her heart and mind racing the entire time until she got into the elevator. That's when she felt rage. She burst into her brother's office and slammed the door shut. "Where is she?!" Sanzu looked up from his desk, raising a brow, he feigned innocence "Hmm? Who?"

Senju slapped both hands on his desk. "Do not act stupid Haruchiyo. Where is Y/n?!" He looked at his sister, emotionless, debating on if he should be truthful or not. Gotta prove to Y/n that you're the guy she fell in love with.

"She's currently at my place." he looked back down at the paperwork he was doing. Senju definitely wasn't expecting that response. "Your place?" she spoke slowly, trying to wrap her head around the situation. "And why does the Tokyo Police Department think that she's missing and potentially kidnapped?"

"That would be because I... brought her to my place...without her permission." he reluctantly explained to Senju.

"Haruchiyo! You kidnapped her?!" He facepalmed, "Everyone needs to stop using that word. I took Y/n so that we could talk. We've got a lot of ground to cover. Which reminds me....why the fuck did you tell me she was gone? Why didn't you tell me she was in Tokyo?" Senju sat down in a plop, on the seat in front of his desk. "Because I knew this would happen." she rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, "You broke her heart, and you feel like you're still entitled to be a part of her life. I knew you would try to wiggle your way back in, but you weren't in the right state of mind. I mean even now you've got some seriously loose screws." She pointed to her head, twirling her finger. "Can I see her? Can I come by your place and see her? I mean if you're really holding her against her will I'm obligated to take her." Sanzu's gaze snapped back up to his sister and he looked panicked, "Please Senju just let me talk to her. She's been warming up and I really think that she'll give me the chance to talk to her real soon. Please just wait and if she hasn't talked to me in a month than you can visit."

"A month?! You want to keep her locked up in your apartment for a month?! You're insane, this is what I'm talking about, loose screws!" the sad look in his eyes didn't help her stubbornness but it pulled hard on her heartstrings, "I'll give you a week. Next week I'm getting her and you cannot stop me."

"Thank you." he breathed out and Senju left the office feeling guilty but also hopeful.

Sanzu left work early to stop at the jewelry store and Senju's clothing store before heading home. He called Bonten's personal chef immediately after Senju had left his office. After all the ground work was laid out, he began knocking on his bedroom door. "Come in." Y/n called out, she was on the floor playing solitaire. He put the bags on his bed and faced her. "I would appreciate it if you joined me for dinner tonight." She was still working on her game and not paying him any mind. Did she not hear me? "Yeah," huh? "Yeah, I'll have dinner with you tonight. What's with the bags?" She still wasn't looking at him, but his heart leapt and he got giddy. He cleared his throat, "Um I uh..I got you an outfit for dinner and I would appreciate it if you wore it."

"Hm, you're feeling very appreciative today huh Sanzu?" she finally broke away from the game to look at him skeptically. "Yes, well, I appreciate you." he started to walk out of the room before she changed her mind, "and I am grateful for you Y/n, I really am." He closed and locked the door behind him.

The smell of food crept under the bedroom door and had Y/n drooling. Sanzu wasn't exactly a chef, if he wasn't feeding her homemade ramen and convenient store meals it was restaurant takeout being brought into the bedroom. She hadn't had a homemade meal in over a week. I guess I should see what he picked out for me to wear. He better have picked out the right size, my figures gotten curvier since I was eighteen. She opened up the larger of the two bags, a soft long sleeve black mini dress came out. Hm, alright alright not too bad Sanzu, definitely won't leave much to your imagination. She moved through the ruffle paper some more when she spotted more black fabric and a box in the bag. Holy shit, this definitely leaves nothing to the imagination, it was a skimpy lingerie set. I could floss my teeth with this. He has always had the audacity that's for sure. She removed the box next and found thin strapped heels inside. She moved them in her hands, having spotted a dash of color. Red bottoms, you have got to be kidding me. She moved onto the smaller of the two bags. This one didn't have any ruffle paper so she was instantly greeted with a black velvet box. Her heartrate picked up, butterflies in her stomach she couldn't suppress. He always had the best taste in jewelry. She shook her head feverishly, I can't. I can't accept this or wear this; he'll get the wrong idea. I'll put on everthing else and I'll just leave the box untouched. Yeah, I won't even look. Nope, won't even...She opened the box quickly and gasped. Inside, twinkling under the dim light of the bedroom, was a thin white gold tennis bracelet littered with diamonds all in a row. There's no way I can wear this.

Haruchiyo didn't normally have a dining table in his penthouse, but he had one specially brought for tonight. He was setting it himself, while the personal chef worked on their dinners. He made sure the cook was making Y/n's favorites. See, Y/n, I still know you, I still remember everything about you. Almost everything, gotta refresh my memory on how you feel under me. He mentally slapped himself, stop Haruchiyo, you're getting ahead of yourself again. Both of his heads were arguing with each other in his mind when he heard a knock on the door. He looked towards the front door and then shook his head. Yeah right I forgot I locked her in there. He psyched himself up, looking down at his outfit for the night. White long sleeve button up, matte black vest with detailed embroidery (that had been a thirty-minute debate), black dress pants, and black dress shoes. He wore a white gold chain that would match the bracelet he bought her; he was hoping she decided to wear it. He wiped his face down with his hand and headed to the bedroom door. Y/n had lost patience waiting for him to answer so she sat at the edge of the bed fixing her heels.

Haruchiyo opened the door and found her like that, adjusting the straps of her Louboutin's with her dominant hand its wrist adorned with the diamond tennis bracelet. She looked up, nodded at him and walked out the door of the room. Not without adding, "You know you'll catch flies if you don't close your mouth. They're attracted to shit."

He would've been hurt if she wasn't smiling to herself, impressed with her own insult. He was quick on his feet, and got ahead of her to slide a chair out. "This is new." she commented as she took her seat. "Yeah well," he sat across from her, "I thought it would be nicer than sitting at the counter or the couch." He tried to smile but he was so nervous it looked as fake as it felt.

He changed the subject, "Do you want some wine?" he motioned towards her glass. "Absolutely." she overemphasized the word. He went to his wine fridge that rested just under his liquor cabinet in the living room. Y/n watched as he overanalyzed the entirety of the fridge. "I'm a cheap date Sanzu, just grab me something red I won't know the difference."

He laughed then, a geniune laugh because she had seen right through his nervousness and fixed it with humor. Just like old times. Y/n found a strange comfort in that laugh; one that she hadn't heard for years but knew like a nursery rhyme. This isn't like old times, she had to remind herself. He came back to the table with a glass of whiskey for himself and a bottle in his other hand. He placed the cup down and poured her glass. He went to bring it back to the fridge when Y/n grabbed his arm, halting him. He looked down at her, but she wasn't looking at him. She was looking at the wine. She let go of his arm and grabbed the bottle. "I'm going to need this." She placed it in front of her plate. Haruchiyo shook his head, smirked, and sat back down. They sat in silence, sipping their drinks until the personal chef came to the table. He had platters; platters filled with all of Y/n's favorite foods. "Enjoy this meal and the rest of your night." The chef collected all of his supplies, finished cleaning the kitchen, and left.

She was in awe, not just with the food's appearance or smell but with the fact that after all this time Sanzu had actually remembered. He remembered all of my favorite foods. What else has he remembered? Who cares, snap out of it! It's obsessive not sweet. But just look at the way he's looking at me.

Full of love, he looked at her with the same puppy love struck stare he always had. He looked at her like she was the only woman in the world; she was the only thing that mattered.

Having spent half of dinner and half a bottle of wine under that watchful, loving gaze made Y/n restless and angry. She put down her silverware, took a big sip from her cup, and shifted in her seat. "So what is this?" Haruchiyo stopped his fork with his next bite from going into his mouth, resting it on the plate. She had his full attention. "Because honestly from my point of view I think you're using me to forgive you of your own guilt. I'm not a priest, Sanzu, I can't abolish you of your sins. You've got a bruised ego, and me? I'm just the one who got away. I didn't come crawling back and it's eating you alive." Haruchiyo was stunned; his intentions had been completely misinterpreted.

"Y/n....I...that's not it. That's not it at all. I do have guilt that I carry. I want your forgiveness because...." No going back now bud, time to be honest. "Because I still love you. I've carried guilt, and pain, and shame, and I've carried my love for you this entire time. You are the one who got away but that's because I pushed you away. I fucked up, but if we can talk this out then maybe..."

"Maybe what? I forgive you for that night? I forgive you for the drugs? I forgive you for the accusations and the fight? I forgive you for murdering my brother?! And then what?"

Sanzu took a deep breath and wore his heart on his sleeve.

"And then we do it. We do everything we promised each other. We were supposed to spend our lives together." He was holding his head up on his hand, elbow prompt up on the table. He was rubbing his forehead, clearing his mind for the right words to say.

"Those were promises made by young, immature kids blinded from the reality of adulthood Sanzu. Those were promises made before I found out you killed Mucho."

Haruchiyo slammed both hands on the dining table and stood up quickly. "And you don't think I fucking regret it?!" he raised his voice, deep and loud. "I regret it Y/n! Mikey has been the most important person in my life since I was a kid! He took me in no matter what trouble I caused, and I was a lot of fucking trouble. He didn't try to change me! He just accepted me for who I was and Toman became my home. Mucho betrayed Mikey. He betrayed the most important person in my life and I couldn't handle it. I couldn't handle the hatred, and hurt that I felt, so I killed him. I killed him in the same place he betrayed Mikey and Toman. I lived with that for years with no remorse because I got rid of a fucking traitor."

Y/n huffed, a sarcastic laugh and he shot her a dirty look. Then he noticed the streams of tears rolling down her face. He continued, "And then I met you. And you became the most important person in my life. I wish I could take it back Y/n. I wish I could take away your pain."

"Then bring me home Sanzu. Let me go home! You just do this; you do this to me. You upheave my entire fucking life! I made you my entire life and you fucked that up. Now you took me from my entire life. My job, my friends, my home, my boyfriend."

Sanzu was enraged. She's bringing him up. Now, right now, she has to fucking bring him up. He went to her end of the table and pulled her chair out with her still on it. He rotated it so she could face him instead of the table. One hand held onto the back of the chair, his knuckles turning white at the grip he had on it. The other hand pointed a finger in her face, "You wanna know why I haven't killed that little fucking boyfriend of yours Y/n? Wanna know what's stopping me from putting a fucking bullet in his skull?" he poked her forehead, right in between her eyes.

He pulled back and fell to his knees. His booming voice now soft and fragile, it cracked with the threat of tears. "Because I know you deserve him. I know that that's the kind of man, and the kind of life that you deserve." He clenched his teeth and let out a growl through them. He popped his jaw, "I'm a selfish man. I'm selfish, obsessive, and too crazy to not want you all to myself! I want you! I need you! And for the rest of my life, beyond that, until time itself ends, I will always love you!"

He couldn't control himself.

He cupped onto her wet cheeks and forced his mouth on hers. Salty and wet, they molded back together as if they had never been away from each other. Like they had never broken up. He moved his hand down and with his thumb on her chin he made her open her mouth to accept more of him. "I hate you." she whispered but allowed his tongue to guide past soft lips and enter her. "Hate me until you're satisfied." he said into her mouth. It was violent, passionate kisses. Tasting each other pain and pleasure. Y/n grabbed his neck and pulled him back. She breathed heavy and deep, wiping her mouth. She stood up, "I can't. We can't."

"WE JUST DID Y/N!" the desperation pouring from his mouth, he reached for her but she pushed his hand away. "That night. The night of the fight." she looked into his eyes both of them still drowning in tears. "That night you started that fight because you thought I was cheating on you. You accused me of being a cheater, and now that's what you're asking me to be. I'm not. I wasn't." she hiccupped, "I wasn't cheating on you. I'm not that type of person."

She stepped away from the table and headed back towards the bedroom.

"You love him? Huh Y/n? You love him more than you love me?" She shut the bedroom door behind her. He stormed over to it, yelling into the wood. "Loved, agh, more than you loved me?" Haruchiyo pounded on the door heavily and stopped. He pressed his forehead to the door.

"Could you ever love someone as much as we loved each?! Because I sure as hell can't."
