"Hm., that seems fun," Noah said as he looked in the air where Tanya was flying or trying to fly.

"Would you like to try it too, Second Lieutenant Noah?" Adelheid von Schugel said.

Adelheid appears to be in his fifties, he was a tall man with broad shoulders. His hair was combed back and he wore an elaborate monocle over his right eye. He was also wearing a lad coat.

"Can I doctor?" Noah said.

He was quite bored with how there was nothing to do.

After their service at the Northern Military District, they were awarded and sent here to test the new Operational Orb.

For some reason, they were sent together.

He thought it was probably because, one, they were of the almost same age. Second, both of them are considered abnormality in the army. Third, well, both of them have the best compatibility with Operation Orb which in return made them the best duo to check on the experiment. But after seeing the development of the current testing orb, The Elinium Type 95, he could tell that it was not perfect—no, to be more precise, it was being stopped from working through outside interference.

And if his guess was not wrong, it must have had to do with this 'Being X' that Tanya talked about.

"Nope, you can't! we are still building another version for you to check, which will take time. That's why in the meantime we can all see the Second Lieutenant Tanya experiment on it."

Just as Adelheid finished talking a blast was heard above in the airspace. Both of them saw how Tanya detached the Orb from her body since its engine was overheating and taking mana like a sponge.

Noah looked as Tanya landed on the ground with minor injuries here and there.

"Again! Why can't you lose your concentration! And you call yourself a soldier!"

"No matter what, being a boot-licker of a faulty product is not a duty of an Imperial Soldier!"

"Did you call my product faulty!?"

Tanya ignore him and started to go towards the medic as Noah followed her.

"You seem to enjoy your life," Noah said, teasingly as a grown released from Tanya's mouth.

"Do you call this enjoying life?"

"Who knows. It depends on how you define 'enjoying one life' in the end. Anyway, I tried to probe the cube." Noah said.

After reaching the limit of this world, he tried to probe on the tattoo on his chest. He thought if he wanted to know how he ended up in this world, then his only choice was that cube-like thing and he was surprised what he found when he probes on the tattoo on his chest.

"Really?! What did you found?" Tanya's attention diverted towards him as she looked towards him with expectation.

Noah has told her that if the cube can send him to another world then it was possible to leave this world. She seriously thought if she could then she would definitely choose to leave this war filled world.

"Well, there is good and bad news. Which one you want to hear first?"

"Bad one." She said without thinking.

"We cannot go back to your world. No, that cube cannot but I cannot."

"What do you mean?"

"To explain that, I shall tell you the good news. When I tried to check the tattoo first when I came into this world, I got nothing. But when I reached the peak strength of this world, I tried to check it again and it was then that this unknown knowledge was transferred inside my mind." He looked towards Tanya who was listening with her attention, "The cube 'can' send us to a different world but it would be a random world out there and not a coordinated world we chose. In short, it's like a gacha in which you never know what will you get." Noah said.

Tanya hearing him narrowed her eyes. In her mind, if she could leave this world and find a world with peace then that would be good but the thing was with gacha that you never know what you will get. It could be a world worse than this.

"Another thing, the next world will probably have a higher World Limit. Mean it can be Emperor or even God Class world. I am not sure though."

That was another thing he found out when he searched the cube. He also wanted to leave this world. Not that he hated it, just that this world was just way too weak for his taste. Just the other day, he wanted to go to different nation capital and spam magic on them. If not that Tanya stopped him, he was sure by this time only Empire's capital would have left intact.

"You can think about it since I will probably leave this world before they issue the next order to front lines. Well, of course not before causing mayhem." Noah said and left grinning.

Tanya thoughtfully looked at his back and also left for her room. She needed some time to think about it.

Warrior Era, 3005.

A boy of age was walking down the street as his gaze fell upon an ice cream shop.

"I want to eat some ice cream…" he said. He took some money out of his pocket and pout. "But I don't have enough money."

He had short black hair and currant eyes in which one could see innocence. He walked towards the ice cream stall.

"Miss, can I have ice cream with this much?"

The woman whose ice cream stall was, looked down at the boy. Looking at the money boy gave, she smiled gently. "Of course." Though the money boy had was not enough for the ice cream, the woman couldn't bear to say no to such a cute boy.

She made new ice cream and gave it to the boy, "Here, take this."

The boy took the ice cream and smiled happily, "Thank you, miss. You are the best." He said as he happily starts to walk towards his home.

When he reached his home, he confusedly looks as his home was surrounded by a crowd of people. He could also see people or warrior and mages from the Public Safety Department.

Though confused, he walked to his home. People around them were looking towards him with pity. The closer he reached his home, the faster his heart started to beat. He didn't know what was going on but the feeling of dread was still being built in his heart.

"Are you Alex Pelagon?" as he reached close to his home, an officer came and stopped him. Alex looked at him and answered, "Yes, I am an officer. Why?" though Alex has guessed something was not right but he still asked since he doesn't know what was wrong.

Officer looked at Alex. He was troubled whether he should tell this 5 years old kid or not. Taking a deep breath, the officer took off his hat, placing it on his chest he said. "Forgive me but your parents are found dead inside the house."

"Eh?" Alex couldn't understand what this man in front of him met. 'Father and Mother are dead? Why? How? Before I left they were alright; how did they die all of sudden?' Alex couldn't understand. He started to dash inside the building. He couldn't hear what people around him were saying; he just wanted to know what is going on.

Reaching inside, he saw his parents being crucified as blood keeps on a drip from their body.

"Mother…Father…" Alex absent-mindedly kept looking at the now cold bodies of his parents.

"Fuahh!" Noah jerked opened his eyes. He was breathing heavily. His whole body was soaked in sweat. Placing his head on his knees he curled up.

'Again…'

After some time, Noah stood up and walked out of his room. His and Tanya's room was right next to each other. He stood in front of her door but it was locked. Not minding it, he used mana to unlock the door and entered.

On the bed he could see Tanya sleeping, walking silently he enters her bed and went to sleep. He looked at her face 'She is cute. If only she acted more like a girl instead of a man.'

Adjusting his position so that he was hugging her, he also went to sleep.
