12 Vampire / 2.9&10 : Can't be manipulated
Eden woke up in a good mood between the twins. Today he'll finally be done with his father and sister.
Duyun knocked on his daughter's room and he came in when he heard enter. She was looking at herself in the mirror with beautiful pink robes on. He smiled and he asked already knowing the answer:
"It went well?"
Yanyan turned around looking at her father and she said excitedly:
"It did he'll announce to the empire live that he's going to marry me."
Duyun smiled brightly. The best way for everyone to find out at once that Emperor Supreme is going to marry Yanyan is during the holy ceremony since it'll be broadcasted live in the entire empire. People have been waiting for the coming of the Holy Drasan for so long so they'll all watch the ceremony.
He asked:
"Did you tell him to lie about the murder attempt?"
"I did I told him every detail don't worry."
The only person whose words against the holy Drasan would have any validity is Emperor Supreme. If he makes an accusation no one will believe him or Yanyan but everyone will believe Shenzhi. That way Eden will die without anyone crying injustice. Once Shenzhi and Yanyan are married he'll free his wife from that asylum and let her torture Eden every day, he knows it'll make her feel better. They'll be a family again and he'll rule over Ocaithia Empire.
"I already found a Priestess to marry you tomorrow."
Yanyan said:
"But father I don't have a wedding gown yet I can't just wear something off the rack. I want to lo look beautiful, our wedding pictures will be everywhere."
Duyun looked at his daughter and said:
"Who cares we just need the wedding to be legal."
"Then can I plan another one after the legal ceremony?"
"Sure."
As long as she's legally married and an Empress he doesn't care what she does. He was a little surprised when Yanyan squealed in happiness, she's never cared about that sort of thing but right now it's like she's excited to get married to Shenzhi. Who cares as long as she's married.
Eden tilted his head looking at his reflection.
"No use that one."
The stylist took the jade pin he pointed at and changed it. Eden was finally satisfied and he ordered:
"You may leave."
Everyone left. He took a seat on his bed and he looked down thinking after feeling a part of the universe's power pouring into him. He realized something after he received it, he isn't taking over the body of every Eden of every universe but the body of his past lives. Instead of reincarnating in the same universe, he would reincarnate in a different one every single time. Turns out this is all his past lives. But what he doesn't get is why? Shouldn't he have reincarnated in another universe again when he died instead of appearing at Versal?
First of all what happened and who sent him there? Second, why does he keep reincarnating in the multiverse, unlike other people? Why him? He has so many questions but the only way he'll be able to get answers is if he changes more of his past lives and gains more power which will earn him more knowledge. Now he understands why he felt the feelings of every Eden so acutely, it's because it was his memories. It just makes him even more determined to destroy all those people who ruined his life. He looked up when the twins entered. He stood up with a smile hugging them. They both kissed one of his cheeks. The thing that reassures him is that now he knows that Gege has been part of all his past lives. Maybe he is getting ahead of himself and that it was just a coincidence but deep down he feels like it's more.
At least now he doesn't have that fear that he might disappear. But what worries him is who is behind all of that. Why would that person make him relive all his terrible past lives? Hasn't he suffered enough? The fact that everyone one of his lives ended in pain and bloodshed is proof that he was doomed from the start. Someone had a hand in that there's no way it happened randomly. Whoever it is he'll be able to track him once he gains enough power. Meanwhile, he'll fix his past lives and be with Gege.
He smiled at the twins, Shenzhi said:
"We just came to see how you are doing."
"I'm fine honestly I can't wait for this day to be over."
Shenlong said:
"Us too then it'll be just about us."
Eden smiled.
"Go before you're late."
He leaned in giving them both a kiss and they left.
Duyun entered the temple and he walked the aisle looking at all the cameras installed with a smile. He stopped at the top row and he looked at his brother wide-eyed. What is Changsu doing here? He took a seat next to him and he asked:
"Who told you to come?"
What just because he is close to ruling the Empire he thinks he can just barge in and get a piece of the pie? Hell no! He worked his ass off to get where he is and he won't let his brother reap the fruits of his labor. Changsu smiled at his big brother.
"Eden invited me."
Duyun looked at him furiously and said:
'Stop lying he didn't!"
"He did when he came to see me at the company."
Duyun asked:
"What are you talking about?"
Changsu sneered:
"Did you really think he wouldn't know that he is to inherit the company when he turned 18? He signed his shares over to me and now the company is mine and I'm the president."
Duyun looked at him stunned.
"You're lying the only reason you're president is that I put you in charge."
Changsu pulled out a folded paper from his side pocket and handed it to him. Duyun read it then he looked at his brother shocked. Eden really signed over his shares to him, the company is all his.
He ripped the paper in rage as he said:
"Now you don't have any proof."
He'll make sure Eden doesn't have time to sign another paper to give his shares away. Even if he'll be ruling the Empire there's no way he'll let his little brother own the company. He's the one who had to get married to own it. Changsu laughed.
"You're even dumber than I thought. Do you think I don't have copies? I already had a board meeting and everyone knows that I was responsible for everything. It amazes me when I think about the fact that we are related."
Duyun gnashed his teeth in anger. It's fine as soon as Ocaithia is his he'll destroy his brother and the company. He stood up and sat on the other side of the aisle. He smiled at his daughter and Yanyan smiled back.
Everyone became silent as Eden walked gracefully the aisle to the platform. He walked the stairs and he knelt on a pillow as the Supreme Priestess stood before him. The whole Empire looked at their screen unblinking not wanting to miss a second as she said:
"Goddess Chuicya's prophecy is upon us. Here kneels Eden Han taking his rightful place as the Holy Drasan. Do you swear to rule the Empire with Emperor Supreme fairly?"
"I swear."
"Do you swear to put your people's need before your own?"
"I swear."
"Do you swear to fight for the truth and what is right?"
"I swear."
"I Supreme Priestess bestow upon you the title of the Holy Drasan."
The Supreme Priestess put a crown on Eden's head and everyone clapped and screamed in happiness. The twins, the king, and the queen clapped with a smile. Shenzhi helped Eden up, both twins stood at his sides lifting his hand as the scream from outside traveled inside the temple.
Duyun gave a sign to his daughter and she walked to the platform. Everyone became quiet because of how shocked they were that some random girl dared to stand near the Supremes and the Holy Drasan. The cameraman zoomed in on Yanyan's face as she looked at Shenzhi enamored. Eden's eyes flashed and he stood to the side with Shenlong. Shenzhi asked:
"What are you doing?"
Yanyan looked at Shenzhi nervously and she said:
"My father wanted me to do something but I couldn't even if I hate Eden. I don't want you to fall in love with me because you were forced, I want our love to be real."
"What are you talking about?"
"My father gave me..."
Before she could continue Duyun stood up trying to stop his foolish daughter. This is why she was so excited about the wedding, she fell in love with Shenzhi. Before he could reach her a guard stopped him. Duyun yelled:
"Yanyan stop!"
She turned around and yelled:
"No father I'm sick of the lies, if I have a chance to be with Emperor Supreme for real then I will take it."
"You foolish girl he will never accept you, you're only going to ruin our family.
Shenzhi took a step closer to Yanyan and he said:
"Tell me the truth and I'll consider your request."
Yanyan's eyes light up.
"Really any request?"
Shenzhi nodded. Yanyan immediately spilled the beans.
"My father has always hated Eden and he never wanted him to be the Holy Drasan. He found a necklace left by God Xaekar capable of controlling you, he gave it to me so I could make you announce during the live Holy ceremony that you want to marry me and make me the Empress. He wanted you to falsy accuse Eden of attempted murder on you so you could have him killed. He wants the entire Ocaithia Empire to be under his control."
The entire Empire listened to her confession horrified. What kind of father would first of all have his son the Holy Drasan killed? And second, control the Emperor Supreme?
Duyun looked at his daughter incredulously.
"You bitch you ruined us all you will never see your mother again!"
Yanyan ignored him and she gave the necklace to Shenzhi.
"I could never use it on you I love you."
Duyun yelled again:
"Do you think he'll ever love you?"
Shenzhi said:
"I won't I already love someone else."
Yanyan looked at him teary-eyed and she asked her voice shaky:
"Who?"
Shenzhi pulled Eden in his embrace and he kissed him, after a few seconds Eden pulled back.
He grabbed the necklace out of his hand and he looked at his father.
"Even if she would've used it wouldn't have worked, I had already destroyed the spell."
Duyun looked at Eden's malicious smile stunned.
"You knew all along."
"Of course I did I'm the Holy Drasan the most powerful vampire in the world. You can't keep anything from me father including your desire to kill me."
Eden whispered something in Yanyan's ear and she shook her head to focus, she felt like he brain was foggy. She looked around not understanding how she got here. She looked at her detained father and she screamed:
"Father what is going on?"
Duyun yelled:
"Are you fucking kidding me? You divulged our plan and you ask me what is going on? You bitch now your mother will die in that in that asylum and us in prison."
Yanyan looked at him in fear and she said in a trembling voice:
"What do you mean? I would never betray our family father."
Duyun raged:
"Stop playing dumb before I kill you myself."
Eden gave a signed to the cameraman and he cut the live feed.
"She isn't playing dumb."
Duyun asked:
"What have you done?"
"I controlled her just like she wanted to control one of my love."
Duyun looked at him shocked. He knew it, he knew his daughter would never betray him. It explains why she looked so infatuated with Shenzhi and excited about their marriage when she never cared before. Yanyan yelled:
"You son of bitch!"
She ran to Eden to kill him, they are already screwed might as well kill him. It's not like she can pay more than with her life. Before she reached Eden he waved his hand and she hit the wall hard. Her scream of agony resonated in the entire temple. Duyun screamed in fear:
"Yanyan!"
"Don't worry Duyun she's just knocked out, although something worst for her and you are about to come."
"I should have just killed you when you were born!"
Shenzhi's eyes turned red but before he could move Eden stepped in front of him. He gave a sign and Duyun and Yanyan were taken away to the dungeon. Eden caressed his cheeks.
"Calm down we'll never see them again."
"I should just rip his throat out"
"It would be too easy he deserves to suffer for a long time."
Eden leaned in kissing him and his eyes turned grey again. He looked at Shenlong who seemed just as angry and he kissed him until he calmed down.
The queen walked to them and she asked excitedly:
"When is the wedding?"
Eden chuckled.
"To have a wedding someone has to propose."
The queen hit her sons' arms and she asked:
"When are you going to propose?"
The twins narrowed their eyes at their mother. They want it to be a surprise and private not something that happens with a temple fill to the brim. They looked at their father pleadingly and he chuckled. He grabbed his wife's hand.
"Sweetheart they're grown men they can handle it without you."
The queen looked at her husband discontentedly. She waited so long for her sons to find someone and now that they have someone amazing she can't wait for the wedding.
Eden shook his head with a smile. So this is what it feels like to have a family who cares for you? To think that he'll feel that way for the next hundreds of years makes him so happy.
Eden and the twins spent the rest of their life together. The twins proposed and a year later they got married. The whole Empire celebrated while the queen was over the moon. Duyun and Yanyan were tortured every day until the day of the wedding and once they saw it Eden killed them. Zhaoyi stayed in the asylum so long that she eventually lost half of her mind. She repeatedly tried to kill herself but Eden would never let that happen. She had a long and difficult life until she finally passed away. 600 years after their wedding the twins died, they were older than Eden so he knew that he would outlive them. Once he took care of their funeral arrangements he left for Versal. He closed his eyes feeling more of the power pouring into him.
Pearly tears fell despite his closed eyes and he only opened them again 150 years later. He looked around and his eyes landed on a purple planet and he flew to it. He reached out with a smile and he disappeared.
