11 Vampire / 2.7&8 : A promise
Eden opened the door and entered. Duyun looked up and his mood turned even sourer. Eden took a seat in front of him with a smile.
"How are you doing?"
Duyun narrowed his eyes at him. How does he think he is doing? Not only did he find out that the woman he gave everything for has been cheating on him since the beginning but he said it in front of everyone. He feels humiliated of course.
"Why didn't you tell me in private?"
"I had no intention of telling you but when you ordered me to apologize to that whore I was ticked off and I blew up."
Eden smiled.
"You know it happens. At least now you know the truth and you can move forward."
Duyun looked down not saying anything. He still doesn't know what he's going to do with Zhaoyi. He tossed her out of the room and she's been staying with Yanyan. The most infuriating for him is the fact that she slept with Yizhou his rival. She knows how they've been feuding since he would tell her everything but she still slept with him. Eden has known this for so long but he watched from the sideline probably laughing at him. He knows that this is revenge for his mother passing away but it's not his fault that she was crazy. When he thinks about it it's all her fault. If he would've divorced her the moment he met Zhaoyi she wouldn't have been with someone else. Eden is doing that to destroy their family because he isn't part of it and he won't give him the satisfaction.
He loves Zhaoyi more than he ever loved anyone and he knows he can't live without her and their daughter. He'll never let Eden destroy their beautiful family he just needs a few more days to calm down. She keeps coming to see him crying which breaks his heart and she's that way because of Eden. He won't let him hurt their family ever again, his eyes flashed with determination. He looked and asked:
"What do you want?"
"You've been locking yourself in your room and I'm worried so here."
Eden handed him the pass and Duyun took it with shiny eyes.
"If you want to talk to me just come to the fourth floor."
Duyun smiled. With this whole thing he almost forgot his plan, he didn't know how to go about getting the pass with Eden's change of attitude but that fool came to him directly.
"I'll definitely take you up on your offer."
Eden smiled and he left. He put on a hood and a cloak and sneaked out of the palace. He looked up at the building with a smile. He entered and walked to the reception area, the woman asked:
"Hello, what can I do for you?"
"I'd like to see President Han."
"Do you have an appointment?"
"I don't."
"If you don't have an..."
She stopped in the middle of her sentence when Eden pulled down his hood. She looked at him wide-eyed.
"Can you tell President Han that his nephew is here?"
The woman nodded and she made a phone call. Eden put on his hood again and a few seconds later a man ran out of the elevator. He bowed respectfully and said:
"Holy Drasan please follow me."
Eden followed him. When they reached the top floor the man knocked on a door marked President Han Changsu. Eden came in and he looked as the assistant left. He turned around and he put down his hood. Changsu smiled.
"Take a seat."
Eden took a seat.
"Hello, uncle how are you?"
"I'm fine what about you? Is everything going okay at the palace?"
Eden smiled reassuringly.
"It is the king and queen treat me better than my family does excluding you of course."
Changsu smiled, he's been worried about him so he feels relieved that the Supremes have his back at least. Still, he knows that his brother will never accept Eden being the center of attention, he remembers how he lost it the day he came to work after he found out about Eden being the Holy Drasan.
Changsu said:
"You need to be careful Duyun will never accept you sitting on the throne instead of his daughter."
"I know I'm dealing with him."
Changsu looked at him surprised. He's done everything he could to protect Eden but when his mother passed away he gave up on life and just accepted everything Duyun would impose on him. Eden pulled out something from his chest and handed it to Changsu. He grabbed it and read it. He looked at Eden wide-eyed. Eden smiled.
"I was supposed to inherit the company when I turned 18 but Duyun kept it from me. You're the one who runs the company while he takes credit. It's legally your company now that you own my shares."
Duyun only named Changsu president now that he is at the palace and he is sure Yanyan will be Empress. In the original timeline, Changsu died trying to save Eden so he had no intention to let that happen again. After the arena, Duyun beat Eden but Changsu stood in front of him. When he saw his gold blood Changsu knew that he would drain him, before he could take Eden away Duyun knocked him out then he killed him. Every person who cares for him dies so he'll make sure that they have a long life.
Eden handed him a card and Changsu took it.
"Will you come to my holy ceremony?"
Changsu smiled.
"Of course, I will."
Eden stood up with a smile.
"I should go or I'll be late for tonight's event."
Changsu stood up and he hugged him, Eden hugged him back with a bright smile. He waved goodbye and left.
Yanyan entered her father's room.
"You wanted to see me?"
Duyun stood up and he put a necklace around her neck.
"Tonight during the banquet you'll try it on Emperor Supreme by asking him to dance."
Yanyan asked:
"Even if it works we don't have a pass to the fourth floor."
Duyun smiled maliciously.
"I do that fool Eden gave one to me in case I want to talk."
Yanyan smiled, she's been so worried about her father giving up on the plan since the fight with her mother. But now everything is back on track and once she is Empress their family will be like before because Eden will be dead.
"I'll get ready for tonight."
Duyun nodded with a smile. Quickly after Yanyan closed the door she felt a hand around her neck and she was dragged into a closet. She pushed the person and she was about to yell but when she met his eyes she froze. She looked at the person unblinking. Eden took the necklace around her neck. He bit his finger and droplets of blood fell on the front and back of the dark stone. Once it was soaked in blood he put it back around her neck after wiping it clean. Eden whispered something in her ear and her eyes flashed. When Yanyan shook her head Eden was gone. She looked around confused not understanding why she was in a closet. She checked her necklace and she felt reassured. She flew to her room to get ready for tonight excited.
Eden looked at himself in the mirror satisfied and he left for the ballroom. The guards opened the doors and everyone looked at him. He had traded his usual white robes for red ones with gold flowers. His crown was golden and it matched his belt. They all feasted on his beauty including the twins. Yanyan felt like throwing up blood, compared to him she looked like a peasant.
Eden walked to the thrones. He smiled at the king and queen.
"I'm sorry for being late."
They smiled and the queen said:
"It's okay sweetie."
Shenlong stood up and he hugged Eden tightly. Eden hugged him back with a smile, he missed the twins he's glad they're back.
Shenlong pulled back and he asked:
"Did you miss me?"
"I did."
Shenlong smiled. Eden took a seat on the throne between the twins. For the next couple of hours, Eden spoke to the Supremes and he got to know them better. He didn't think that every single one of them would genuinely be a good person but they are, goddess Chuicya chose well.
Eden felt a look directed at him and he met Zhaoyi's angry eyes. He stood up and he walked to her with a smile. She was sitting alone while Duyun was on the other side with Yanyan.
"How are you?"
Zhaoyi forced a smile.
"I'm well."
She's been going to Duyun's room every day crying and begging for forgiveness. She can see that he is close to forgiving her, especially now that Eden gave him the pass to the fourth floor. She just needs to stay calm today and show her husband that she can act appropriately in front of people. She won't let Eden infuriate her no matter what he says. Eden tilted his head and he asked expressionlessly:
"Did Duyun forgive you for being a whore?"
Zhaoyi gnashed her teeth in anger, she took a breath to calm down. She won't take the bait.
"Eden I don't want to fight, I understand you're angry because of your mother's passing but it had nothing to do with me."
Eden smiled.
"I know it's Duyun's fault for falling for a whore."
Zhaoyi's hands tightened into fists but she still stayed silent.
"I'm just kidding and I wanted to apologize for what happened."
Zhaoyi looked at him suspiciously.
"I have a special guest for you."
Zhaoyi frowned feeling a bad presentiment, before she could find out what Eden had planned he was back sitting on his throne with a malicious smile.
A few seconds later she felt hands covering her eyes. She immediately smiled, Duyun finally forgave her. She stood up and hugged him.
"Looks like Duyun doesn't give you enough affection."
Zhaoyi immediately let go of him recognizing Yizhou's voice. She asked panicked:
"What are you doing here?"
Yizhou pulled her in his arms, Zhaoyi tried to get free unsuccessfully.
"The Holy Drasan said that you've been depressed this whole week because you missed me."
Zhaoyi looked toward Duyun to make sure that he didn't see Yizhou coming and she could escort him out discretely but she met his furious eyes. She was so close to having him but now Eden ruined everything.
Yizhou turned her head and she yelled struggling out of his embrace:
"Let me go I didn't want you here!"
Everyone looked toward them and the ballroom became quiet. Yizhou smirked:
"Is that why you're still wearing the necklace I gave you?"
Duyun's hands tightened into fists, even after that day she still hasn't taken off the necklace. Does she care so little about him? Like a fool, he was ready to take her back.
Zhaoyi pushed him forcefully and she looked at Eden furiously. She ran to the throne in rage and she jumped him. Before she could reach him the guards held her. Her hands behind her back she yelled:
"I'm going to kill you son of a bitch, you should've died on that arena."
Eden said:
"Zhaoyi I think that you should take some time off in a wellness center."
"Fuck you I'll never give up until you die."
Eden tilted his head.
"How would you like to stay at Yunlian Asylum? It seems like you need a specialist to make sure you get better."
Zhaoyi looked at Eden wide-eyed. No, he wouldn't put her in a nuthouse, right? She's not crazy.
Duyun stood before her and he looked at Eden.
"Eden she isn't crazy she doesn't need to be put in a psych ward."
"Oh no, not a psych ward in a hospital she needs to be put in an asylum. Those are two different places. Haven't you all said that my mother was crazy? I know the signs by now and Zhaoyi exhibits most of them. It would be best if she was surrounded by specialists who would be able to help her. You didn't want my mother to get help and I would feel terrible if your wife ended up in the same situation as her."
When his mother started to show signs of depression Eden told his father so she could go see a doctor so she would be put under antidepressant but his father refused since he wanted to use that as an excuse to put her in an asylum but because she wasn't a danger to herself or anyone around her he couldn't. But Eden isn't Duyun he is the Holy Drasan what he says goes.
Duyun looked at Eden stunned, he is getting revenge for wanting to put his mother in an asylum. Even if Zhaoyi cheated on him he can't let her be in a place like that or she'll go insane for real. Duyun took a step forward and he called almost pleadingly:
"Eden please she doesn't need to be in a place like that."
Eden has enough power to toss her in a madhouse contrary to him.
"I believe she does."
Yanyan ran and for the first time she spoke calmly to Eden:
"Eden I know you're angry but please don't do this. I know that you're upset about your mother but my mom had nothing to do with that."
"You're right Duyun is for allowing her to take over her house and using her money to live her best life. I hold no grudges against Zhaoyi this is why I want her to get better."
Yanyan looked at him teary-eyed and she begged:
"Eden please I can't live without her don't take her away."
"You'll learn to."
Eden looked at the guards and he ordered:
"Take her to Yunlian Asylum Dr.Wu will be waiting for you."
The guards nodded and took a screaming Zhaoyi. Eden looked at her expressionlessly as she insulted him. Yanyan burst out crying calling for her mother. When she was gone all you could hear was Yanyan's sobs. Duyun held his daughter in his arms and he looked at Eden with hatred.
"Is there something you would like to say?"
Duyun turned around and left with his crying daughter. Eden looked at them with narrowed eyes, when they were out of sight he left for his chambers.
Duyun held his daughter until she stopped crying.
"Don't worry as soon as you become Empress we'll get her out and Eden will die."
Yanyan took a breath and she wiped her tears. She needs to hold it together it's the only way she'll be able to take the throne and free her mother. Her eyes flashed with determination as she said:
"Don't worry father I can do this, Eden will rue the day he was born."
Duyun smiled.
"I know you can do it."
Yanyan hugged her father.
After taking a shower Eden came out of the bathroom, he sat on the bed waiting. A few minutes later Shenlong and Shenzhi came into the room. Shenlong sat on the bed and he pulled Eden in his arms. Eden leaned on his chest and he looked at Shenzhi who was sitting on the couch tapping on his computer. He's kinda pissed at him right now, not only did he not say hi after not seeing him for so long but he came here just to work. Eden straddled Shenlong and he asked:
"Did you get everything?"
Shenlong held onto his waist.
"We did thanks to you."
Shenlong smiled, and Eden smiled back after wrapping his arms around his neck. He leaned in kissing him, they stayed that way kissing for a few minutes.
Eden pulled back looking into his eyes.
"I really missed you Gege."
In the previous universe, he and Gege would see each other every day in the beginning so he's not used to being apart from him. Hearing that Shenzhi looked up. Shenlong smiled his eye shining in happiness and he caressed his red cheek.
"I missed you too baby."
Eden smiled. His smile disappeared when Shenlong abruptly asked:
"Do you love me?"
Eden blinked a little uncomfortable. He asked:
"Do you?"
He can't help it saying those kinds of words make him feel shy even after spending a lifetime with Gege.
Shenlong said full of assurance:
"I do I love you more than I've ever loved anyone."
Eden's eyes moistened and he couldn't stop himself from smiling brightly. He said full of emotions:
"I love you too Gege."
Shenlong smiled his heart beating faster. He promised:
"We'll spend our entire life together, even after death we won't be apart. No matter where you end up I'll find you."
Eden's heartbeat quickened and he smiled his eyes shining brightly. He wanted to make the twins promise that he'll find him even after they die because he knows that Gege will respect his promise, he believes in him.
Eden said:
"I'll always wait for you."
Shenlong smiled, he leaned in kissing him passionately. He pulled back looking at Eden's beautiful smile. He turned his head looking at his brother. Shenzhi looked at them just a few seconds then down. He would've preferred if they confessed to Eden together but he's honestly losing patience with him. He needs to put a gun to his head or he'll never tell Eden the truth. He gets that Shenzhi is scared but he should have faith in the person they love.
Shenlong put Eden down and he walked to Shenzhi. He closed his computer and he ordered:
"Go talk to him."
Shenzhi looked at him hesitantly.
"Go or I'll tell him everything and we'll see if he'll ever forgive you."
Eden looked at them silently. Shenzhi stood up and he took a seat on the bed while Shenlong sat on the couch.
Eden turned his head away so Shenzhi sat in front of him and turned his head. Eden batted his hands away his eyes cold. Shenzhi could tell he was angry and he doesn't blame him. He missed him so much but he didn't want to hug or kiss him because what if when he founds out the truth he fears him? It'll hurt more than it already does.
"You know that every Supremes has a wolf in them, but mine is different."
Eden looked at Shenzhi. Shenzhi took a breath and he said:
"My parents presented multiple candidates for marriage before but I was unwilling so I would show them my wolf and every single one of them would run off scared."
He got down from the bed and he turned into a white wolf. He looked at Eden his heart beating faster than it ever has. Eden knelt in front of him and he caressed him. This is the most beautiful white wolf he had ever seen. It isn't his first white wolf but he never saw one as pure as him. His fur is like fresh snow before anyone has walked on it yet, pure and unsullied. He couldn't stop himself from marveling:
"So beautiful."
Shenzhi looked at him dumbstruck, he could tell from his obsessing eyes and his lovely smile that he meant what he said. Eden caressed his face and he felt something damp.
Shenzhi turned into a vampire again kneeling in front of Edem and he pulled him into a tight hug. Eden felt his heart clench in pain when he felt tears falling on his shoulder. He held him and he caressed his nape to calm him. After a minute Shenzhi stood up and he pulled Eden on his lap after he sat on the bed.
"I've never minded people being scared of the white wolf but I never wanted to see you run away from me."
Eden sighed.
"I wouldn't you should have more faith in me."
"I do I just... The day I saw you in the arena I knew you were my mate and my fear of losing you took over. I swear I won't keep anything from you again. Please forgive me."
Eden looked into his worried eyes and he nodded. Shenzhi let out a breath and he hugged him again. He pulled back meeting his eyes.
"I love you and I want the three of us to spend the rest of our lives together. I do not doubt in my mind that you're my soulmate. I'll always look for you in every one of your lives I promise."
Eden smiled his eyes moistening.
"I love you more Gege, I'll always wait for you."
Shenzhi smiled brightly and he leaned in kissing him passionately. Shenlong smiled and he took a seat next to his brother. Eden pulled back and he smiled at them. I promise I'll always look for you Gege.
