Interlude: Thoughts of the Jedi and Sith

On Dooku's return, the council received a personal verbal report from him. The council was greatly worried knowing that Predator is so strong in the Force. Not only in the light, but also the dark. As they know of only one being to ever achieve the ability to use both in balance.

For another being of his caliber to appear in this era is concerning to them. The fact that he secured Mandalorian allies even more so.

The council have been keeping an eye out for Predator's activities for a while already. Semi-actively tracking him down. However, the power of the Predator can no longer be ignored.

"Think, I do. That find Predator we must. Priority, it should be, hmm?", Yoda said.

Master Poof agrees, "Yes Master Yoda, Predator must be found, and spoken with. A powerful Dark Side user is a danger to the galaxy. We must not only make sure he has not been swayed enough to be wild and evil, but also have him face his crimes. Perhaps there is still hope to put him on the right path."

Master Ki-Adi Mundi also speaks, "His attainments in the Force are too great to ignore him. We must reign him in or else another faction besides the Sith could arise. We could have a faction like the extinct Revanites exist once again. This would throw off the balance of the galaxy. His crimes on Cerea that are all but confirmed must also be brought to justice."

Dooku, who was being silent as the council discussed, spoke up.

"Masters, Predator is planning something and knows things. This is the last things I will say. I could feel it in our exchange. He fought, like he has a clear vision, and a directed will. That is all."

Dooku was then dismissed by the council. Who then continued to deliberate on this matter. Ultimately decided to create a Jedi task force with the sole purpose of finding and capturing Predator.

[A Hidden Abode]

"Master, meeting in person is rare. What could be the reason?", a hooded man inquired.

"Sidious...I have felt a presence in the Force. A familiar one, yet it was extinguished soon after. Violently, at that. The Jedi are also abuzz with the being known as Predator. A being that played with Master Dooku. Has slain multiple Jedi through power, knowledge, and even grace.", The taller hooded man said.

"I too have heard of this Predator. How would you like to proceed Master?", Sidious asked.

The other hooded man looked at him with red eyes, "Contract this bounty hunter. A contract that will be his demise. We will not bring him into the fold. He is already too powerful, I can feel it. Now go, do my bidding Apprentice."

As the master leaves, Sidious thinks to himself, "So you fear him Master? Then perhaps I can use him to accelerate your retirement. First, I must be sure he is ready for such a task."

Sidious leaves the room, going who knows where with vile machinations being spun in his mind.
