5 Night Shift

Alex sighed as he wore his work clothes quickly; He gritted his teeth as he played music with his Iphone.

"He should have told me earlier," Alex said.

If he didn't go for Sam's shift, he wouldn't get in trouble but Sam might get fired and Alex didn't want that.

Besides he only had to work for three hours and he would get the money for the shift, Sam had also promised him a Geodude upon his return to Pallet town and Alex was going to wait patiently for it.

With a Geodude, he could probably solo the entirety of Route 1 easily. Spearow don't do shit against a Geodude.

"But I have to survive Night shifts though," Alex said.

He didn't have anything against Night shifts but he had already heard bad stuff about them, Customers got a lot more rowdy during Night shifts and there was a whole lot more cleaning to do during that time.

'There's an even scarier thought too,' Alex thought. Sam worked as a waiter and since there were apparently more customers at night, he might be shoved out of his usual role as a Janitor and into a Waiter.

Starlight restaurant was large and Alex moved from table to table with a tray in his right hand, sadly he had been meant to take Sam's job as a waiter and as he expected it was stressful.

They were having an event for Waiters tonight, apparently they were made to hand out meatballs to customers, it was already announced that it was made from Spearow meat and that kind of meat wasn't particularly popular in Pallet town but for some strange reason, Alex was able to hand everything away from his tray.

Delia watched as Alex communicated with the customers, her eyes widening as he sold yet another Meatball.

'His communication skills are great,' she thought as Alex moved to another table.

She had only seen him cleaning before and he was very good at cleaning, it was because of him that the floors were clean every morning but since he only applied for a part time job, they had to get a Night time Janitor.

But even then, Alex always cleaned up in the morning.

Seeing him as he continued with his work, a small smile pursed at her lips as she made plans to talk to Alex later about a promotion.

Alex sighed as the last customer crossed the door and left the restaurant, he had been told that it was rowdy at night but the information didn't cover what he was feeling right now.

The night had been really exhausting and Alex didn't think his legs would be rested enough to get him to work in the morning.

"Good morning, Mr. Alex," Delia said.

Alex spun around and faced his boss, Delia. She was wearing her Chef clothes and Alex blushed, she looked so damn beautiful in it.

"It's morning?" Alex asked.

"Yes," Delia replied, "Do you have a minute?"

"Of course Boss," Alex said, reminding her of the leverage she had over him.

"Call me Delia Ketchum," Delia said.

Alex felt his throat get dry immediately; her mature charm was nothing short of amazing and her beautiful eyes, his eyes went down and her curves didn't disappoint.

"You want a promotion?" Delia asked.

Alex was surprised at her words; of course he would like a promotion but he wanted to know why it was only proposed to him now.

The Janitor job was not paying too much but it was truly a job that he enjoyed doing, keeping the surrounding area clean was something Alex had learned at home.

"Mrs. Ketchum, can I ask why you considered me for a Promotion now and not before?" Alex asked, he didn't want to be rude but he was curious.

Delia gave a small smile.

"Honestly I didn't know you were so talented," Delia said.

Alex took in a deep breath, the Communication skills he had portrayed during the talk he had with the customers had left him in awe.

"Talented?" Alex asked.

Delia's eyes widened.

"You spoke to the customers fluently and convinced them to buy Spearow Meat, and not to mention those good looks too, you're literally the best person to keep as a Waiter," Delia said.

Alex couldn't reject her offer, he might be a man in the body of a Younger guy but he wasn't still resistant to beauty- and besides he needed a higher paycheck. Geodude couldn't eat berries, could it?

That was simply outrageous.

"Okay," Alex said, "What kind of job do you want to hire me to do?"

"Be a waiter," Delia said, "You'll be paid 30 Pokedollars by the hour and you could also keep your Janitor job,"

While Delia wanted him to work as a Waiter, she also knew that she couldn't lose the talented Janitor.

"Alright Mrs. Ketchum, I hope to see you later," Alex said with a little yawn and walked to the Changing room.

While he was in the Changing room, he couldn't help but think about those bodacious boobs that he had seen- Oh how he wanted to grab them so bad.

"But she's your boss, you can get fired for that and you have no other way to support yourself financially," Alex reminded himself before changing into his regular clothes and leaving the Changing room.

The night cleaner was working hard but Alex could see that she wasn't giving it her all, not everyone was like him that poured out all their energy to do their work, there were some people that just did the work and left it behind them all in the name of getting paid.

Delia waved him goodbye as he passed the door, Alex returned a grateful smile.

The sound of tweeting and an alarm was all that could be heard in Alex's house as he slept calmly on the bed.

Alex stirred awake and sighed, He had gotten home at 1 and it was already 7 so he only got 6 hours of sleep. Since he got to this world, he had been able to get 8-10 hours of sleep and that helped his brain calm down but now he was back to 6 hours.

"The restaurant opens at 8," Alex said while pushing himself off the bed, he wasn't going to be tempted to rest back on the bed and go back to sleep, "So I have to be there before 8,"

The fact that Delia was willing to pay for him to remain as a Janitor meant that he was really valuable and Alex didn't want to disappoint his Boss.
