Pillow of Hearts: A tale between the warm hug and cold coffee

Moon Young Jae’s homophobic family considered him a disgrace and held his freedom in their clutch. Even with being obedient, he was not free from their abuse. Young Jae was almost blinded and crippled by his father when he stood up for himself for the first time. Left to bleed and die, luckily, he did have a family who wanted to save him. It was twin cousins, who were disowned long before him, who saved him. Sad and hopeless, Young Jae became curious when he met his cousins’ friend, who understood him better than anyone, even without words. Curiosity got the best of him, and he ended by handing his heart, love and soul over a plater as a price. Slowly, Young Jae fell in love with everything about and around Min Jun and eventually fell for the man. Calculative Wang Min Jun entered Young Jae’s life accidentally. He challenged Young Jae's belief with a warm smile and flipped Young Jae’s world upside down. Min Jun read Young Jae like an open book. He planned to get over the little crush he had on his seniors' cousin brother but failed miserably. Min Jun did not like the often-visited ‘frown’ between those beautiful eyebrows and even the always singing of ‘sigh’ through those sinful lips. Min Jun made it his mission to change it only to fall for everything about Young Jae. Wang Min Jun carried his share of baggage, but he was well-prepared to meet the demons from the past head-on. But Young Jae became a mess whenever his past demons decided to pay a visit. He realised he did not have to face anything alone as he has a wonderful boyfriend who cherishes everything about him. Both faced their past demons and trauma together. When a person betrayed by a family fell in love with a person who holds his family above everything, sparks flew, and hearts soared in happiness. Will their story has a harmonious bell, or would it be a sea of misery? Teaser: Files were shattered all over Min Jun’s bed, and his laptop was placed on the bedside table. It chimed once in a while, indicating a new email for him to check. The work was piling more and more as he was diligently finishing it. Young Jae walked into his boyfriend’s bedroom to witness his handsome lover working hard. "Jun Jun! Are you busy?" Even though Young Jae did not want to disturb his lover, he knew he needed some help to impress his boss. "Never for you, love. Tell you what you need?" Min Jun did not lift his head from the file he was going through, but the warmth in his voice reached Young Jae's heart without fail. "Do you have a minute to help me in reviewing my monthly internship report? I have to present to our boss tomorrow morning." Young Jae pouted as he asked. Min Ju looked at his adorable tokki and smiled mischievously. "You are brave, asking your superior to help you sneakily. I can't do it for free. I need a huge bribe to help you. What are you planning to offer?" "Be serious. You have too much work to do." Young Jae chided his shameless boyfriend, who never failed to seize every opportunity to make him moan and groan as he takes him to the pleasurable heaven. "Exactly. I have too much work to do. If I am taking my time to help you, I need something in return. Something so tempting that I don’t mind cramping lots of things later." Min Jun smiled like a devil he was as he grabbed Young Jae towards him. The little rabbit who fell into the cunning wolf's lap did not even get a chance to protest as he was devoured breathlessly. Young Jae forgot why he entered the wolf's lair altogether. Min Jun pushed the files away to make space for his little rabbit to lay down comfortably. Young Jae’s report was long forgotten as a treacherous hand started to caress him again under the shirt as a sinful sound filled the room. Crazy Doctor – Part one

Young Jae couldn't help but run his left hand over the leather seat, feeling the cold comfort. He liked the feeling of leather under his fingers. It seemed like an expensive one, but he hesitated to ask about the car to Moon Chin Hae, who was driving them out of the hospital. Young Jae understood to an extent from his cousin but not entirely. He was not aware of anyone his cousin spoke about. But he couldn't deny the warmth he felt because of his cousins.

His cousin Kang Chin Mae didn't visit him in the last two days. But he got him a new phone as Young Jae's old one was still at Moon Mansion, and he didn't dare to ask anyone from the Moon family for his phone. Kang Chin Mae called him today morning, and Young Jae could detect happiness in the voice mildly. He couldn't help but rethink the conversation, more like instructions as he got from his slight tsundere cousin.

It was still a little challenging to handle everything around him with his eyes blindfolded with a thick bandage. The bandage was not uncomfortable, but he could not see what's around him, made uncomfortable and scared. The good thing was it could be treated.

Kang Chin Mae called him in the morning; he struggled a little bit to pick the call as Moon Chin Hae was on a call outside the ward. Thankfully the nurse entered the room that time and helped him with it.

"Young Jea ah… You will be moved to a clinic and research centre today. Chin Hae will take care of the process. I called you to talk about the crazy doctor." Kang Chin Mae went straight to the point without beating around the bush.

Young Jae was worried when he heard the clinic. Wouldn't a hospital be better than a clinic? But he decided to listen to his cousins as they were the ones who were paying for the treatment. If they decided to move to a smaller facility, he would have to agree. With this thought, he didn't question anything and agreed.

"Remember never to annoy the doctor with questions. Ask his assistants whatever queries you have. He gets quite short-tempered if you ask any questions while he is thinking. Well, he is always thinking. He might seem a little un-trustable, but in reality, he is good. You can believe in him. He was the one who helped me the most in getting back to health. One of his new assistants is performing the surgery while he supervises it. Your operation will happen soon, and most likely, the date would be fixed today." Kang Chin Mae continued, and Moon Chin Hae agreed to whatever he said.

Young Jae felt like he didn't have any choice. He didn't want to be called ungrateful by his cousins, who were helping him the most. It would not be the first for him to be called ungrateful. His father and grandmother called him 'ungrateful bastard' numerous times in the last four years.

Young Jae decided not to be surprised by any other misery that arrives his way as it became a part of him at this point in life. The scariest thing would be if anything nice ever happens. Shaking his head off to reality, and agreed with whatever Kang Chin Mae was saying. Moon Chin Hae entered the room right after the call and decided to pack the necessity he got for Young Jae. So that they can leave in an hour to meet the 'crazy doctor Ro'.

Lost in his thoughts, Young Jae didn't even notice they came to a stop till he hears the sound of the door opening next to him.

Moon Chin Hae, who got out of the car earlier, thought Young Jae fell asleep because of a lack of movement even after the car stopped. So, he removed the luggage from the car and kept it in reach towards the door. Then he came to wake Young Jae up.

The lost Young Jae felt a soft shake on his arm before he heard, "wake up, Young Jae. We reached. You can sleep once we go to the room." Chin Hae spoke ever so gently, worried about starling him awake. Young Jae couldn't help but smile at the tenderness that he only experiences from his mother.

Nodding his head, Young Jae got off the car with Chin Hae's help and moved to a wheelchair. A helper stepped behind him to move the wheelchair towards the said destination, which was still unknown.

Refusing Young Jae's offer to help with the luggage, Chin Hae handled everything. Young Jae smelled flowers and wood whiff through the nostrils pleasantly rather than disinfectant and medicine when they entered. It didn't feel like a hospital or a clinic, making him frown. But he decided to follow Chin Hae for now, and on the way, he would decide if he could ask the questions or not.

Young Jae realised they entered the elevator when the automated voice said a welcome. Young Jae's frown deepened, and Chin Hae chuckled when he saw the frown. If his eyes were visible, Chin Hae was sure his cousin would look like adorable-lost-puppy thinking hard to find a way home. Before his cousin starts to worry too much, he decided to put him out of misery by explaining.

"We are right behind the clinic premise. It is next door. We are in the research institute. There are two underground basements. One is an operation theatre, and I have no idea what happens in another. The ground floor is just a reception and nothing more. The first floor is the lounge for all the researchers here and the kitchen. The second floor and third floor have a medical research lab."

"The fourth and five have research lab equipment and machines. The sixth floor has guest quarters. The seventh floor has BB's office, personal lounge, and gym if he stays here. I have no idea what is there on the eighth, ninth and tenth floor. If we take the elevator, it will be convenient for us with all the luggage. All the researchers' have separate quarters if they wish to have one." Even though Young Jae understood the place, he was lost. Research labs, ten different floors and clinic… what the hell… he wanted to curse out loud for thinking that his cousins were shifting him to some small clinic.

The frown deepened than before as if he was irritated. Chin Hae just sighed in defeat as he understood the Moon family did a good number on his cousin. The helper left once they reached the room without uttering a word.

They entered the room and got refreshed in their room, and Chin Hae helped Young Jae in it. They were waiting for the crazy doctor to come and meet them. Young Jae almost fell asleep waiting for two hours before there was a knock.

Young Jae, leaning on the double bed's headboard, felt his cousin, who was sitting a little away from him, moved to open the door. Young Jae held his breath in nervousness. He realised the doctor was capable enough with just what he learned about all the building facilities, but he was still nervous.

What if the doctor says his vision could never be recovered?

What if the doctor says his right arm is useless?

What if the doctor says he could never walk anymore?

What if the doctor decides there was no hope in treating him?
