Eyes that see something more

Normally the castle is always surrounded by many rune systems, and after the little boy's addition, the runic circle's Anessa put up didn't even let the outside air inside the castle.

She is so overprotective, that she started studying the subject she dropped in her school days, rune-arrays.

And studied and customised the rune arrays around the castle to make sure the energy in the atmosphere and the air is clean.

So the boy has never really felt the wind on his face.

The grass beneath his feet.

The dew in the morning.

It was new to him. All of it. Even though he watched all Esther's memories, he never really lived them. He didn't know what Esther felt. Not that he would feel anything when all Esther felt was monotone.

But this was completely different, the boy has never seen something so beautiful. They weren't outside the castle. No.

There were on a very high branch of the tallest tree in the forest. Senessa teleported them to this place the moment everyone got out of the door.

This was their little family place, they used to come here when Anessa and Lilleron was young. And the view from this place was just spectacular to say the least.

To the boy, it felt like he has never seen the world as it is.

'So vibrant

So beautiful

Haahh is this what you wanted to see Esther?

So high up in the air, and still not cold. The tree branch beneath my feet is glowing red and gold. The birds are different from the world you lived. 2 moons in the sky even though it is day time'

"How is it baby", Anessa asked the boy, but she didn't have any reply.

Her baby was just looking at the front and seeing his dazed eyes, she can understand that her baby was surprised by the view.

As beautiful as the view was she couldn't find anything as interesting to get her eyes glazed over.

Of course, she couldn't understand, the boy's expectations of this world was in comparative to the destroyed and concrete world he saw Esther lived before.

Sanzak and Senessa was on the side with Sanzak holding a device like a camera in his hand.

*snap snap snap

He's snapping away photos of his youngest daughter and his grandson's first visit to the outside world, grinning like a maniac.

At that moment they felt a shift in the energy in the air. They wouldn't feel anything if they weren't Ascendency level beings, but it's them we're talking about so they clearly felt it.

It was a mana shift, and the mana in the air is slowly condensing around their grandson like they were looking at something interesting.

This time the boy looked over at the colorful mana strands glowing in the air travelling around him, and his eyes widened in disbelief.

'So beautiful'

The boy was in awe.

The strands glowed in mixed colours. They were ethereal and real at the same time.

Some colours gave off a majestic feeling, some gave a feeling of mischief and freedom while some simply gave him the sense of power.

What he was subconsciously doing was something unprecedented even though he doesn't know it. He was not really controlling mana in the air, because that can only be done by beings who have evolved for the 2nd time.

However the mana listens to him, the mana strands in the air that were coiling around his body for minutes; surprising the shit out of the family of Aros'Tirrioin; started traveling towards his eyes.

His eyes were the normal blood red that all blood elves had, but now that the mana started swirling around his body towards his eyes, his eyes started glowing in different colours.

It was like some sort of restriction was lifted off the boy and he felt an inexplicable relief. He didn't know why, but he felt like this was the first step to get to know how his predecessor's memories were available for him.

Blood Red that represented the special affinity with blood that blood elves and vampires had.

Orange red that represented his fire affinity.

Neon blue that represented his water affinity.

Bright light green that represented wind.

Dark Brown that represented earth.

But it didn't stop there. These affinities were quite normal because even Anessa was the same. They were of the quite exceptional bloodline after all.

But the final affinity was something the family did not expect at all.

The people who have this affinity was said to be the nodes of the future and the future events will converge around them.

His eyes glowed in bright white, that seemed to contain little blue specks in it.

Star affinity!

One of the most versatile affinity. Their imagination is the limit.

Finally his eyes started dimming, but it didn't return to his normal blood red color.

His eyes started glistening in a dark blue color that seemed to contained the entire sky inside it.

[For reference - Cosmos colour? Dunno]

The irises were like a black hole in the middle of the a starry sky and the sclera were pure white. But if you look closely enough, the blood vessels were dim golden.

While Anessa was wondering how her baby had got this affinity, she saw something that she long wished to see, but still didn't want to at this right moment.

It was conflicting, but she felt happy that her baby was finally recovered and this confirmed it.

Her baby was crying.

Even Sanzak and Senessa who was at the side snapping photos, were startled by this.

The boy never cried. But they can see that these were tears of joy, not tears of grief.

As they were all stared by the fact that their little one finally showed an emotion that was supposed to be shown by a child his age, the boy started laughing.

"Pfft... tsuh... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA..... so beautiful

It's like I've never seen anything at all.

I see now. I see it all.

The color of the world.

So this is how you look huh..."

While his tears are glistening in his eyes and continuously falling down the sides of cheeks, creating a magnificent art piece of extreme ends, he continued to laugh.

The mana in his surroundings are moving and vibrating as though it acknowledges the emotion the boy shows.

Anessa who was shell shocked by all the information she received today started to calm down and look at her baby's eyes directly.

She could say that his eyes were different, like his eyes were meant to see something more than what normal people would see, but she couldn't really figure out what.

Sanzak and Senessa on the other hand were still frozen.

They knew more than Anessa did about the people of Star affinity and their circumstances, they also knew about the beings who would make mana listen to them.

They are still wary about all this commotion but decided to leave it for later, not to ruin the moment for their little ones.

"Sweetie, shall we go have breakfast now? You haven't had yours yet.

Also you're now almost 5 years old. We have agreed that you would start your basic training at that age", Senessa chimed in to inform her grandson that he is still running on an empty stomach.

"Mm~ Let's go down now baby. We'll have breakfast in the garden today. Happy?", not wanting to destroy her baby's happy mood she said.

"Yayy", the boy jumped up and down, but was quickly caught and levitated under Senessa's magic.

The older ones shook their heads, smiling at the ball of cuteness.

Afterwards they all teleported to the royal garden of the castle.

This place was filled with different herbs and flowers that gives off the smell of nature. And because of the morning sunlight the place is very peaceful to have a nice meal.

After everyone sat down, maids brought tea for everyone and went to stand in the corner as they were trained that way.

It was Anessa that started speaking first,

"Baby I know, I promised you that you can start your training but you're still not that at that age yet.

So we will be giving you introductory lessons about the world, the rulers, some important things to know about magic and usage okay?"

The boy didn't particularly have any thoughts about how to start studying, but he knew that he was practically oozing curiosity because of all the novels and anime and movies from Esther's memories.

"But before all that you have someone you have to meet"
