7 Naiad is a fantasy world

A young man in his early twenty was venturing through a forest alone for the subjugation of a fire dragon that often wreaks havoc in any human habitat. He was using his flight skill to roam around the wilderness and trying to find the fire dragon. After a while, he found the dragon who was sleeping near a spring so he cast an ice spell. A large spear made of ice appeared in front of him and he threw the spear towards the dragon. The fire dragon couldn't react in time and the spear pierced his heart. The dragon screamed in pain before it succumbed to death. Then, he stored the body in his dimensional bag and went towards the Dyfed city. He took out the dragon's carcass in the middle of the city to attract all the people of the city.

People looked at the carcass and immediately recognized it. It was the fire dragon that often appeared in their city and killed countless people.

They looked at the young man who was standing beside the dragon. He was a handsome young man, 5.8" feet tall, blue eyes, a chiseled face with fair skin and long brown hair which reached his shoulder. He stepped his left foot on the dragon's head and arrogantly said, "People of Dyfed city, from today onwards you don't have to worry about the attacks of the fire dragon. Why? Because I, the greatest magician of history has taken care of it for you guys. Rejoice!!! Ha ha ha."

"But, aren't you just a D rank magician?" asked a middle-aged woman from the crowd. It was none other than Stella Maribel, mother, of the young man.

"Mom, just give me a break, will you?"

"Enough with your sweet dreams, go, take your dinner first."

......

"Arthur, Arthur, wake up. It's time for dinner."

Arthur woke up from his nap, his mother was calling for him.

"Where am I? Where's the dragon?" Arthur said in the worried face.

"Haha, what were you dreaming? Slaying a dragon." His mother said jokingly.

Arthur's face turned red from embarrassment. She patted on his head and caressed his silky hair.

"Okay, you don't need to be that embarrassed. I'm going first. So, Come to the dining hall after being freshed."

"Alright, mom." Arthur smiled.

A few minutes later, Arthur came to the dining hall where he saw his family members were sitting on the chair around a rectangular table. A maid who was around her late twenty setting up the plates for dinner. His mother saw him and called him to sit on a chair.

His father was sitting on the main chair of the table and his mother and sister were sitting on the opposite side of each other beside his father. Arthur took a seat beside his mother.

Arthur looked at the dishes that were served to him, they looked very appetizing to him and he was hungry. So, without further a due, he began to put all the food inside his stomach. While he was at it, his father spoke,

" Arthur, I am really sorry about today's incident. I shouldn't have forced you to handle the business matter at an early age and sent you to the Dyfed city. I owe you an apology. So, tell me, what do you want as repayment ?". As Arthur's magic capabilities was at D rank and he was lazy to practice any martial or sword art, his father wanted him to become a merchant like him. So, for gaining experience he had sent Arthur to the Dyfed city for business calls with their two family guards. Unfortunately, Arthur had to meet the bandits on their way returning from the city.

"Repayment !!!" Arthur was surprised that a father would repay his son. Well, there was basically nothing except magic that can attract his attention. So, he gathered his thought about what he should ask and then said, "Well... Dad, I want to start learning magic. I know that my magic capabilities is not so good but this time, the last time I seriously want to give it my all and for that I want all the necessary things for starting to study magic. Skill books, magic crystals, beast core, potions, and other things."

" This ..." His father stared at Arthur for a while then looked at his mother. His mother silently nodded giving her consent.

"There are some magic-related books in the family library, you can check up on them and I'll try to get the things by the end of the day tomorrow," Gilbert said.

"Thank you, dad."

After eating his meal, he went to his room. He had nothing to do. There weren't any TV, smartphone, video games, or any other kinds of recreational stuff. So, except for the couples, everyone slept early at night.

Arthur sat on the bed leaning his back against a pillow. He tried to gather his memories. He didn't possess much knowledge about magic. So, he tried to remember the details of the world he was living in.

'The planet was called 'Naiad' and according to Arthur's memory, there is two continent known as Ronelia and Sorren. They are divided by the Cecinic ocean and the distance between these two continents is at least 15,000 km. So, travelling through one continent to another continent was difficult. Normal people couldn't cross the ocean because the danger of the sea monsters and teleportation was expensive as it consumes huge amount of magic crystals.'

'We are living in the Ronelia continent. This continent has 5 big kingdoms named the Pamear Kingdom, the Myfa Kingdom, the Dyrus Kingdom, the Noah Kingdom, and the Beastmen Alliance. The Istria region is a part of the Noah Kingdom where the Maribel family lives.'

'This world is pretty amazing. There are all sorts of different species such as Elves, Dwarves, Trolls, Goblins, Orcs, Beastmen, etc. I want to meet them all. They are the symbols of a fantasy world that every people of earth would love to meet them once of their lifetime. Naiad is really a fantasy world.'

While thinking all these things he fell asleep.

Arthur woke up early in the morning. There wasn't any clock for watching time. But, seeing the sun he can guess it was pretty early in the morning. He washed his face with cool water and cleaned his mouth with some kind of powder. Then, wearing a pair of shoes, he went to their family garden to do some physical exercises. Usually, Arthur doesn't wake up early in the morning let alone do physical exercise. So, the people who saw Arthur doing exercise in the morning were astonished.

"How come, the lazy young master doing physical exercises in this early morning!!!"

"Who knows? Maybe he damaged his brain at yesterday's accident."

"But, hasn't he have been healed? I heard a famous healer from the Dyfed city healed him."

"Maybe this is the side effect of that."

"Then, isn't this side effect a good thing? My son is also very lazy like our young master. Should I hit him on the head too, in case he can reform like him?"

"Well, do it at your own risk. Don't kill him off by the process. Ha ha ha." Two servants of Arthur's family were whispering at his sudden change of routine.

After doing some light exercise he went to take his breakfast. His parents were at the table but his sister wasn't anywhere around. He didn't pay any heed to that and sat on a chair to take his breakfast.

His parents were looking at him sharply. They had heard from the servants that today Arthur woke up pretty early and did some exercise. It was completely new to them. Then, his father opened his mouth first, "Son, were you doing physical exercise this morning?"

"Yeah, I woke up pretty early today. So, I just did some light exercise. Is there any problem, dad?"Arthur replied nonchalantly.

"No, no... no problem at all. Keep at it."

After finishing his breakfast, he went straight to the family library. He has been waiting for this moment since yesterday.

"Magic, wait for me. I'm coming to get you..." Arthur said that while humming.
