Chapter 14

"Don't forget the reason you sign up" Mark rebutted

"Tim could be alive!!!" Joy shouted to Mark

"He's dead, did you forgot i have enhanced hearing?"

"Joy if you want to avenge Tim, focus on the battle" Riko shouted while mustering his power and conjuring six earth doll

The monster who has his right arm and body in a bad condition didn't rush to the trio fearing its death rather, he slowly back up

The monster is not stupid, with three gash on its body and his mangled arm he can't take down three of them

Joy seeing this glance at Tim corpse and charge to the monster while the six earth doll ran behind him

Seeing this the monster prepare a punch but before he can throw the punch Joy already swing his sword aiming at the monster head

Crouching down, the monster barely survived the swing and counter attack with his punch aiming Joy's leg but before the punch could connect an earth doll stand in its way and blocked it

infuriated the monster swing his arm and made the doll crash onto a nearby store

Soon Joy is running to the monster again

The monster prepare his arm and was about to swing it but he saw an earth ball in the corner of his eyes flying to him

Remembering what happen to his right arm he try to dodge the ball but ends up not focusing on Joy

The ball that was thrown was an ordinary earth ball, by using the monster's fear they manage to land a critical hit on it

SWOOSHH

A head flies and land near Tim's corpse

Before the trio could celebrate, they could see zombies appearing in every direction

Picking up Tim's corpse they decide to make their way to the south gate

Riko using his power conjure seven more earth doll to hinder the zombies

Arriving there, they could see soldiers patrolling near the gate and soon they began waving at them

A team of eight soldier came out and greet the trio before telling them to go rest in a tent outside

Arriving at the tent, Mark makes his way to the operation tent while Riko and Joy went to a medical tent to find a body bag for Tim

Entering the operation room he could see that the soldiers inside are in a frenzy

"What happened here?" but no one responded to him

Listening on their conversation he realise the situation, more and more evolved are turning into monster that infects other human.

The reason the mall has not been attacked yet is because there are some soldier on the perimeter guarding the place but this also meant that there is a lot of civilians wanting to know the situation in the mall

Seeing one of the camera he could see that on the streets there are chaos with civilians forcing their way to the mall

Grabbing one of the soldier in the tent Mark told them to let the civilians into the parking lot

Knowing that Mark has higher rank than him the soldier complies and told the soldiers on the perimeter to let the civilians in

Soon droves of civilian entered the parking lot with soldiers guarding the entrance

Seeing the camera of the parking lot, Mark asked

"How long will the food supplies last if we count the survivors?"

"Only one day sir!"

Mark frowned but he didn't blame the soldier
