Chapter 18: Sports Festival Part 2

A/N: Took a short break, been busy these past few days. So if this chapter is quite mid, forgive me, need to get back in the writing rhythm.

To be honest, I feel like most readers can agree with me when saying that the Sports Festival Arc was quite long and boring - excluding the actual tournament part. So for my sake (To not get bored), I'm just gonna blitz past the events up until the tournament.

Scaling that I talked about last chapter will be at the end of this chapter in order to save people from scrolling past it.

Long story short, Yuuto unsurprisingly won the race. The rankings from the race were:

1. Yuuto

2. Izuku Midoriya

3. Shoto Todoroki

4. Katsuki Bakugo

6. Tenya Iida

7. Fumikage Tokoyami

To be honest, the placements don't matter too much as all of class 1-A managed to enter the top 42, which Midnight announced would move on to the next round.

"Now then! Onto today's heart-pounding second event! I already know what it will be... but the suspense is killing me..." Midnight cheered, "What could it be?! Well, I'll tell you!

BEHOLD!!" She pointed to the screen which showed the words 'HUMAN CAVALRY BATTLE!'

Explaining what the event is about (People ride on each other, steal each others points, blah blah), Midnight proceeded to explain the point system in order to move on to the next round:

"Starting from the bottom, 42th place will be worth 5 points, with 41st being 10, 40th being 15, and so on... As for first place" She paused in suspense

"First place will be worth, TEN. MILLION. POINTSSS!!"

*Stare~* *Stare~*

Ignoring the greedy eyes staring at him, Yuuto sighed at his 'bounty'.

'Oh well, this is the harsh life of being the best'

"If I were you guys, I'd personally aim for the top dog with ten million points in order to secure the win" Midnight instigated, to which Yuuto merely smirked.

'Bring it!'

"Remember, The time limit is 15 minutes, now go and make your groups! You have 15 minutes!" She reminded with a shout and a snap of her whip, instigating the freshmen to rush and form a strong group.

"Yo, Yuuto!/Hey, Yuuto!/Yuuto! Hey!" Kirishima, Ashido, and Nejire all approached Yuuto once Midnight started her countdown.

"Hey guys, wanna form a team?" Yuuto asked, even though it was clear what their answer would be from their approach.

"Of course!" They all replied, forming their quad-squad.

And as such, the teams that formed (1-A) Were as such:

Team Yuuto: Yuuto, Kirishima, Nejire, Ashido.

Team Todoroki: Todoroki, Momo, Iida, Nirengeki.

Team Bakugo: Bakugo, Sero, Aoyama, Kaminari

Team Midoriya: Midoriya, Uraraka, Tokoyami, Mei.

Team Hagakure: Hagakure, Sato, Jiro, Shinsou

Team Shoji: Shoji , Asui, Aoyama, Ojiro.

And then there were the other teams.

For their team, Yuuto and the others went with this formation: Kirishima at the front, Yuuto on his back with the headbands, Nejire behind Yuuto, and Ashido as the free-roamer.

This was to cover everything. Kirishima's able to prioritise his hardening, Yuuto can use his system-stuff, Nejire can prioritise her waves for movement and defence, and Ashido is an all-rounder.

And so, the event began.

"Let's see who the top 5 teams are!!" Midnight shouted in delight at the end of the second event.

"First place: Team Yuuto!!

Second Place: Team Bakugo!!

Tied for Third place: Team Tetsutetsu and Team Hagakure!!

And in fourth place, Team Midoriya!!" She announced, to which the crowd cheered super loud in response in awe.

Suddenly, Team Hakagure - excluding Shinso - proclaimed that they don't remember the event, and hence agreed they wanted to pull out of the final event.

And as such, the people moving on included:

Yuuto, Kirishima, Nejire, Ashido,

Todoroki, Momo, Iida, Nirengeki,

Bakugo, Sero, Aoyama, Kaminari,

Midoriya, Uraraka, Tokoyami, Mei,

Tetsutetsu, Ibara, Monoma, Shinso, Totalling a nice, even 20 total students.

"Now!! For the next event...!" Midnight looked around and saw students sigh out of tiredness, and smirked

"The 'Break' Event!!"

"YESSSS!" The freshmen cheered, they could finally have a rest.

With the break, both the school and crowd used this time to walk around, chatter, etc.

"Phew! Thank god we have a break right now" Kirishima said, chewing on some food.

Currently, the class were in the cafeteria area for the students.

"Yo, Sero" Kaminari whispered to him when a bunch of cheerleaders walked past them. A few minutes later, they approached the girls of the class.

Once the class were done eating, the freshmen were called back to the main stage for the final event.

"... Just look how fired up those cheerleaders from the USA are... Huh? What's this?" Present Mic broadcast to everybody, causing them to look at the stage to see a surprising sight.

"What happened, class A!!?" Present Mic questioned through the announcer's microphone, causing the girls of 1-A to deadpan in response.

They were all currently in an orange cheerleading uniform that was created by Momo's quirk. (Someone's probably gonna post images in this paragraph comment)

"Kaminari, Sero, you tricked us didn't you!!?" Momo shouted, to which the two boys ignored as they put their thumbs-up.

And now, class 1-A were split into 3 group: The girls cheerleading and muttering amongst each other; the boys who were talking about them, and the boys who didn't care.

"Man, you guys are so dead after this" Kirishima laughed at their future demise, having seen the girls faces'.

"Oh well, I'd say it was worth it" Kaminari smiled, "Who d'you guys think looks the best? Personally, Momo's just got some nice knockers" He said, holding his hands up to his chest, impersonating her badonka-donks.

"Mmm... I can't lie, Hagakure may be invisible, but that doesn't stop you from seeing her nice curves in the right places" Sero muttered.

"No comment" Kirishima and Yuuto both said, to which Sero and Kirishima nudged them and egged them on.

"Come onnn~ I know for a fact you guys find atleast one of them attractive. Unless... *GASSPPP*

Are you guys... GAY?!" Kaminari exclaimed loudly with a fake gasp.

"Huh?? Of course not!" Kirishima fell for the trap, causing Sero to smirk and nudge him some more

"Then answer, come on... mama didn't raise no bitch, did she?"

"Tch, fine! If I HAD to answer, I guess... Mina looks, kinda, nice..." Kirishima replied silently with a hidden blush

"There we go! See? Wasn't that hard" Kaminari said, "Though..." He then chuckled, "It seems someone has a lil~ cruushhh~"

Suddenly, Sero patted all their (Kirishima, Kaminari, Yuuto) shoulders, gaining their attention, "Look!" They all turned to look at all the girls of 1-A actually cheerleading. Though it was clear most of them were amateurs, it didn't stop the boys from seeing a good scene.

"What about you, ay?" Kirishima nudged to Yuuto, not wanting to be the only one who'd fallen for Kaminari and Sero's trap.

"Hmm" Yuuto took a few seconds to think, "Not telling" Much to the disappointment of the others.

"And after that, it's the final event!!" Present Mic said, exciting the constantly cheering crowd, "From 5 teams, 20 individuals have made it through!

It's a TOURNAMENTTT!!" He announced loudly.

"We're pitting them up against each other... one-on-one!"
