Chapter 193: End of one problem, the start of another
Without the looming threat of the giant ship crashing against the island, the rest of the fight only lasted a few more minutes.
Luffy knocked down Hody while Zoro and the others took care of the remaining officers of the pirate crew.
The common members surrendered immediately after seeing their higher-ups defeated and Neptune's army took control of the situation.
And so, the attempted coup by the New Fishman Pirates came to an end.
As it has become a costume by now, the crew took part in a big party that lasted all night where they got drunk and made a mess in the palace that would take longer to clean than the plaza where the war took place.
The next day, their ship along with the treasure that Vivi took from the Noah, were placed at a private dock belonging to the royal family until their coating was finished.
The process was going to take two days so Vivi took the chance to request Jimbei to teach her some 'fishman karate'.
"You know…is going to take a lot longer than two days to learn this," He said while looking at Vivi with a stern expression.
"I know this, Mister Jimbei, I wasn't trying to look down on your discipline. I just want to learn a few basic moves, and maybe then, you can show me something more advanced"
His expression seemed to ease a bit.
"Very well, I'll do what I can with The little e time we have. Is the least I can do after all the help you and your friends have given us"

"Let's leave it here for today…" Jimbei said while looking exhausted.
"Is amazing how fast you learn, I think we can work on a few actual techniques tomorrow."
"Well, is normal to learn fast when you already know how to manipulate water." Explained Vivi.
Jimbei nodded in agreement.
"Your devil fruit seems perfect for this fighting style so must feel very natural to you "
The door was suddenly slammed open and two guards came in running.
"Master Jimbei!."
"What is it?!. I asked to not be bothered!" Jimbei said with a frown.
"Master Jimbei, we are sorry…but" One guard started.
"They are here, Sir! The envoys from Big Mom!" The other guard added.
Jimbei's face went a few degrees paler.
"Oh no… it's time already. I must have lost track of time with all that was happening. I don't think we have the quota for her…"
"We do not, Master Jimbei"
"Not even close! especially after the party. What do we do?"
"Take me to them!, I'll try to make them see reason." Jimbei turned to look at Vivi.
"My apologies, but something serious has come up"
"It is fine, I understand
When he mentioned Big Mom…he is talking about the Yonkou, correct?" She asked.
Jimbei noded.
"After Whitebeard passed away, we lost its protection. We were then forced to make a deal with one of the other Yonkous and Big Mom's demand was more reasonable than Kaidou."
"Yeah…you should have tried to contact Shanks, but never mind that now. I'll accompany you. I have a bad feeling…" She wondered if Luffy was still going to confront that woman.

Her answer came very soon after all.
When they found the two envoys, they seemed to be in the middle of an argument with Luffy.
"What do you mean that you ate the sweets?!" A big yellow lion man shouted.
"Let's settle this matter peacefully, Pekons. The tea party is in four days, we will make it in time even if we send the candy tomorrow." A man with extremely long legs and a black suit spoke.
"Who is this weirdo?" Asked Luffy.
"I am Baron Tamago and my partner is called Pekons. Now, tell me, Mister Strawhat, did you eat the candy that was made in this factory?"
"Yeah, and it was delicious!" Answered Luffy without thinking.
"This is bad!" Jimbei was going to approach them when Vivi stopped him.
"Wait, is better if you leave the Captain to talk with them"
"What are you saying?, you don't understand the situation!" He said with urgency.
"Let me guess. In exchange for her "protection", that woman asked for a lot of candy. That factory was created for the sole reason of supplying that demand but you haven't been able to meet her quota this time, partly because of Hody's rebellion and partly because Luffy ate a big part of it during the party. Now you want to go there and take the blame for what happened, how am I doing?, did I understood the situation?" She asked.
Jimbei looked baffled and noded.
"That is correct…"
"Right now you are a representative of Fishman Island almost as much as the King himself. What do you think will happen if you go to them and take the blame?."
"I know but…what else can I do?" He asked.
"That's why I'm telling you to wait. One of the things my Captain is good at is making arrogant people angry, by the time he is done with her, she won't even remember your island exists. "
" You want to take the blame for this? Your crew would be going to war with a Yonkou!" Exclaimed Jimbei.
"Luffy is going to become the Pirate King one day. This means that he will have to step over the heads of every Yonkou and the World Government to get there. He doesn't seem to truly understand this yet, but he will. Making enemies with Big Mom is something inevitable, it may happen today or a year from now."
Jimbei liked pensive for a moment.
"Perhaps you are right and is better to leave this to Strawhat. He may be able to handle this well enough to not provoke them further…"
"You want to destroy Fishman Island over candy?!, are you people stupid?!" The shouts of Luffy could be heard everywhere.
Vivi chuckled. "I would not hold my breath over that."
