Perospero and his crew were in a tight spot. They had the upper hand with their numbers and strength, but they couldn't bring themselves to kill the marine soldiers they faced.

They knew all too well that angering the Marine was a bad idea. The Marine wasn't just a small group that could be easily defeated and forgotten.

There were millions of marine soldiers, and if these high-ranking officers were to retaliate, it could spell disaster for the Big Mom Pirates.

So, as soon as Perospero and his group broke free from the skirmish, they didn't waste any time. They hurried back to their ship, planning to regroup and wait for Big Mom.

They were certain that she wouldn't get tangled up in a prolonged fight with Brontes. Despite it being a matter of pride, Big Mom would surely avoid a fight to the death with a Marine Admiral as powerful as herself.

...

Big Mom, however, was struggling with her pride after the thrashing she received from Brontes.

"Boom!! Rumble!!"

The battle between them was relentless, with fire and lightning clashing non-stop.

The entire dock was being destroyed by their ongoing fight.

It was obvious that Big Mom wasn't going to back down easily. She was internally resistant, but the more she fought, the more she realized the gravity of the situation.

Brontes's power seemed to be increasing, becoming stronger and inflicting serious injuries on her.

Big Mom's large body made her an easy target. No matter how tough her defenses were, they were hard-pressed against Brontes's relentless assault.

Brontes had previously fought Kaido for three days and nights, and now the clash between Big Mom and Brontes was also dragging on, lasting around two days.

In the end, their confrontation left the dock in ruins. Big Mom was deeply reluctant, but she ultimately chose to retreat, and this moment was captured and recorded.

....

By the next day, word of the epic battle had spread throughout the New World.

A Marine Admiral had stepped in to confront the Big Mom Pirates, halting Big Mom's aggressive expansion.

Admiral Ragnarok managed to suppress her in Totto Land, forcing Big Mom to stop her advance into other territories.

...

Kaido couldn't help but laugh when he heard the news.

He was occupied with Wano Country, which wasn't affiliated with the World Government, so the Marine didn't interfere with him. Additionally, the Beasts Pirates had been busy recruiting some formidable pirates.

In just one year, the original Three Calamities had made their presence known.

These disasters—King the Conflagration, Queen the Plague, and Jack the Drought—had become Kaido's most powerful and loyal subordinates.

Kaido's involvement in Wano Country led to a significant clash with the Whitebeard Pirates. Despite the ferocity of the Beasts Pirates, they couldn't quite overpower the Whitebeard crew, largely due to Whitebeard's formidable presence.

The gap in strength between the two groups wasn't that big, but it was enough to determine the outcome.

...

After five grueling days, Brontes finally made his way back to the G-1 Marine Base.

Upon his arrival, he was greeted by some unexpected visitors who clearly weren't there to exchange pleasantries.

Standing before him were agents from CP0, and their stern expressions suggested they had serious business.

Brontes, maintaining his composure, and said to them in a calm voice: "What's the matter?"

The lead CP0 agent stepped forward: "We're here to deliver a message from the World Nobles to Admiral Ragnarok."

Brontes, intrigued but unfazed, took a seat and crossed his legs: "Oh? A message from the World Nobles? Go ahead."

"The World Nobles have decided not to punish you for engaging the Big Mom Pirates without prior approval. However, should you wish to confront a Pirate Overlord in the New World again, you must first seek permission from the World Government." One of the CP0 agent said in a cold superior voice.

Brontes sneered at the notion of being punished, his voice became cold as ice: "Punished? As if I give damn about that!"

The leading CP0 agent warned: "Admiral Ragnarok, please watch your language."

"ZliZli!!"

In response, Brontes simply laughed, and in the next instant, a bolt of lightning erupted from his hand, striking the CP0 member.

"Since when does an Admiral need permission to take down pirates? Consider yourself lucky you're with CP0. Now fuck off—I have more important things to attend to." Brontes dismissed them coldly.

The agent who had been hit by the lightning clenched his teeth in anger, clearly wanting to retaliate against Brontes. But he knew better than to attack an Admiral on a Marine base, and with a seething glare, he turned and left.

As Brontes watched them depart, he let out a weary sigh and closed his eyes.

He hadn't anticipated the World Nobles would actually send someone to caution him.

It made him suspect that there might be some secret pact between them and the Big Mom Pirates, and his recent actions had undoubtedly ruffled some feathers among the World Nobles.

While his efforts might seem beneficial to the World Government, he knew the reality was quite the opposite, it was in the good of allied nations.

Brontes didn't dwell on it too much. His primary goal in battling Big Mom—to test the limits of his own strength—had been achieved.

He was considering undergoing a full-body cell transplantation to become even stronger, but there was no need to rush into it.

...

It wasn't long after the CP0 agents had left that another visitor came seeking Brontes.

"Aren't you supposed to be in the East Blue?" Brontes asked in a little surprised voice, recognizing the newcomer as Garp.

"East Blue? Nah, my vacation is over. The Fleet-Admiral called me back to the New World. He's got high hopes for you, Brontes. He told me to give you a heads-up about not jumping the gun." Garp said as he made himself at home, rummaging through Brontes's cupboard for snacks and tea. He settled in comfortably, munching away.

Brontes's brow creased and said seriously: "Looks like the World Government isn't too happy with my recent choices..."

Garp, with a handful of snacks in his mouth, he said: "I've said it before, kid. Being an Admiral isn't like being a Vice-Admiral. You've got more power, sure, but you're also on a tighter leash. They're fine with you going after small fry, but the Big Mom Pirates? They're off-limits. You have any idea how much those pirates line the World Nobles' pockets? If it were up to me, I'd have taken down those bustards before they got so big. But no, the World Nobles want them around, let them grow too powerful, and taking just one of them will take a lot resources and manpower." He grumbled, clearly angry about the operation of the World Government.

Brontes chuckled and said: "Seems like this job's more complicated than I thought."

"Good that you get it. I'm just here to check on you. Oh, and have you heard anything about Doflamingo's whereabouts?" Garp shifted the topic casually.

"Doflamingo? Yeah, there's been some talk," Brontes nodded and replied.

"Damn it! Everyone's in the loop but me. Even that bastard Sengoku's keeping me in the dark. Good thing I came to you." Garp said in an annoyed voice.

"From what I know, Doflamingo has been laying low for a while, but Sakazuki has been tracking him, especially since he disappeared after sneaking into Mariejois last time. Sakazuki has pursued him many times but has never been able to fully grasp his whereabouts. The World Government has also assigned Sakazuki the task of keeping an eye on Doflamingo, and you should also know why." Brontes said with a light laugh.

"Sakazuki's 'Absolute Justice' makes him the perfect lapdog for the World Government." Garp snorted and said.

"Too true. Sakazuki is too easy to use with right bait. Moreover, after the last conflict with me, he completely ran to the side of the World Government. Maybe after the Fleet Admiral retires, the next Admiral position will be his." Brontes spread his hands and said.

Garp nodded and said: "They'll promote him, no doubt. It's all a political game. Just watch your back, kid."

"I will. Things should be quiet for a bit. The World Government's cooking up something, but I'm not gonna stick my nose in it. I'll hang around the base for now. If I get bored, maybe I'll go and catch some pirates for fun." Brontes said with a bright smile on his face.
