Brontes stepped out of the hospital's sterile, white corridors and made his way towards Sengoku's office, his mind a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions.

As he swung the door open and entered, he was greeted by a room filled with familiar faces, all eyes turning towards him.

"Looks like the whole team is here." Brontes said, a hint of surprise lacing his voice, not expecting such a full assembly.

Kuzan couldn't help but smile as he said to Brontes: "I never imagined you'd hold your ground against that monster for so long. In a head-to-head fight, Kaido's the only one who'd dare stand up against Whitebeard because of his unmatched resilience. No one else would even dream of it."

An aged Vice-Admiral interjected, his voice tinged with regret: "The battle could have ended much differently if Red-Hair hadn't stepped in when he did."

Garp, with his characteristic blend of concern and jest, turned to Brontes: "Feeling disappointment, kid?" His tone was light, but his eyes with laughter.

Brontes simply shook his head slightly; he was clearly reluctant to dive into that discussion, preferring to leave some topics undisturbed.

Sengoku, rubbing his forehead with a hand weighed down by responsibility, didn't mince words: "Your actions were rash and unothrized. Taking Whitebeard's life would have shattered the delicate balance of the New World. You understand the gravity of threatening the balance held by the Yonko. But since Weevil is no longer a concern, let's agree to put this matter to rest."

After a brief silence where thoughts and decisions settled, Brontes stood: "I need to return and start preparing for the upcoming World Conference."

The details of their conversation flowed into plans for what was to come, until finally, Brontes stood up.

"Take good care of yourself, kid." Garp offered with a genuine smile, warmth emanating from his seasoned words.

"You too, old man." Brontes replied with a gentle nod.

...

With that exchange, Brontes departed from Marineford, setting his sights back towards Mariejois.

The New Year loomed on the horizon, heralding the fast-approaching quadrennial World Conference.

His departure left a quiet void in Marineford, a stark contrast to the commotion his actions had incited.

The aftermath of the incident had sent ripples through Marineford, igniting debates and leaving a noticeable divide.

Zephyr's backing of Brontes's deeds was not rooted in self-interest but rather borne out of respect for the fallen trainees.

The elite camp stands as a pivotal establishment within the Marine, acting as a breeding ground nurturing the very backbone of the Marine's might.

Every two years, this elite camp proudly dispatches a new generation of graduates destined to solidify the Marine's foundations.

Ain and Binz among others was poised for graduation, stepping into roles that would make them as the Marine's future backbones.

Among these emerging talents, the class that included Smoker, a wielder of the Logia-type devil fruit, was particularly noteworthy.

This batch not only boasted of Smoker's prowess but was also enriched with a diverse array of devil fruit powers.

Drake, with his Zoan-type devil fruit, was appointed to the New World Marine's Special Science Group (SSG).

Tina, was appointed in Marineford temporarily, along with others who possessed the unique abilities of the Munch-Munch, Rust-Rust, and Wheel-Wheel fruits, highlighted the class's distinguished variety encompassing Logia, Paramecia, and Zoan types.

These graduates were no less than a windfall for the Marine, poised to become its steadfast pillars.

The initial batches had set a high standard of excellence, and as the older generations made way for new blood, the necessity for fresh entrants became ever more critical.

The onset of the Great Pirate Era, with its unprecedented rise in pirate activities, underscored the urgent need to bolster the Marine forces.

The existence of Zephyr's elite camp was crucial in this context.

Without its contribution in continually forging robust young marines, the Marine would have found itself at a significant disadvantage in combating the swell of piracy ushering in with the Great Pirate Era.

The absence of such a facility, leading to a potential vacuum in leadership and strength, constituted one of the Marine's most profound concerns.

In this landscape of ongoing struggle and the urgent mandate for maintaining supremacy, Brontes's intervention sent a clear message.

While fighting with the marines might be tolerated to some extent, any aggression aimed towards the elite camp would not be overlooked.

Targeting the elite camp meant inviting the Marine's full wrath, a relentless pursuit to eliminate the threat, irrespective of whether the aggressor was one of the formidable Four Yonko or someone else.

This resolve underpinned the strategic importance of the elite camp in safeguarding the Marine's future against other pirates like Edward Weevil.

Under Brontes's influence, peace was restored to the sea's tumultuous waves. But just as tranquility seemed to have settled in for good, a figure made their stealthy way toward the New World's G-1 Base.

...

In that moment, Brontes was within the office of the Five Elders.

"Imagine if I had let Edward Weevil live. Wouldn't that send a message that our Elite Camp's recruits could be targeted without any fear of repercussion?" Brontes's voice was a cold blade, slicing through the silence.

"The timing wasn't right for retribution. Our primary goal is to preserve balance." The elder wearing a black hat responded.

His gaze was distant, focused on the ground as if he was entwined in some deep, unfathomable thought, yet his tone remained steady and calm.

"Are you implying when you used Red-Hair as a go-between to halt the battle between me and Whitebeard?" Brontes said with a sneer.

"Are you questioning our judgment?" snapped back an elder, his face framed by a beard, bald head shining under the room's light.

"That's not even the point. If I didn't know better, I wouldn't have paused at the mere appearance of Red-Hair." Brontes retorted, a smirk playing upon his lips.

"As long as you understand. We aren't striving for victory but for stability. You of all people should comprehend this after so many years; we've always regarded you as a smart man." Said the blonde-haired elder.

"I couldn't care less about whatever arrangement you have with Red-Hair, but…" Brontes's words hung in the air, interrupted as a CP agent burst into the room, gasping for air.

"Urgent news. One of the Four Yonko, Kaido of the Beasts, has launched an assault on G-1 Base!"

...

Though the World Conference had yet to commence, its preparations were already in full swing, beginning three months prior.

Given the event's scale, involving kings and representing the sovereign nations of the world, the groundwork laid was crucial for the global order.

The World Conference aims to be a platform for global cooperation and problem-solving, but the reality of its effectiveness remains a mystery to many.

If the Conference truly had the power to address all the world's issues, then the World Nobles should have been the first targets for removal.

It's the presence of the World Nobles that perpetuates class divides across the globe.

The influence of the World Nobles is evident in the nobility of various nations.

For instance, the practice of slavery, initially rooted in the World Nobles' enslavement of prisoners of war from conquered lands, gradually spread as other nobles emulated this deplorable practice even after conflicts ceased.

Trade itself isn't inherently harmful, but once money comes into play, shadows begin to creep even into the brightest corners.

As the World Conference gears up for its preliminary stages, the sudden assault on the G-1 Base by Kaido catches everyone off guard.

...

In the current moment, Sakazuki is leading the G-1 Base, and with Borsalino's absence, so when Kaido strikes, Sakazuki leaps into battle against him alone.

"Where's Borsalino?" Brontes questions his assistant, who has rushed in to provide an update.

"Admiral Borsalino is on a mission in the North Blue. Right now, Admiral Sakazuki is the sole presence at the G-1 Base, currently locked in combat with Kaido." The assistant swiftly responds.

"Kaido... Sakazuki might hold him off for a bit, but facing him indefinitely is an insurmountable task." Brontes said with a serious tone.

Kaido has been a major thorn in the side of the Marines ever since the dissolution of the Rocks Pirates, unleashing his ferocious nature upon the world.

He's launched numerous assaults on Marine bases, even targeting Marineford, only to be apprehended and sent to Impel Down by figures like Sengoku, Kong, Garp, and other Marine stalwarts.

However, Kaido proved to be an unstoppable force, breaking out of Impel Down time and time again.

Eventually, Fleet-Admiral Kong made the call that if Kaido were to be captured once more, they would cast him into the sea rather than return him to the futile clutches of Impel Down, recognizing the futility of traditional imprisonment against such a monstrous pirate.

Barely a week had passed since Brontes's clash with Whitebeard when another Yonko, Kaido, made a bold entrance.

Kaido's mere presence was enough to attract the full might of the Marine's top fighting power, reminiscent of the showdown with Whitebeard during the Summit War.

In the New World, any disturbance at one Marine Base swiftly led to neighboring bases pooling their forces and dispatching reinforcements.

Although Sakazuki currently faced Kaido alone, it was only a matter of time before Vice Admirals from other bases rushed in to aid him.

Kaido's eventual defeat seemed certain, but the loss of the G-1 Base would hold significant repercussions, whether in terms of resources or casualties.

...

"Sir!"

The assistant looked hesitated, as if he wanted to tell Brontes something.

"Speak up. What's the matter?" Brontes prompted from his seat.

"This assault by Kaido on the G-1 Base was actually targeted at you." The assistant answered.

"Me? Why would he be seeking me out?" Brontes asked in a confused voice.

"I can't say for certain, but the moment Kaido appeared, he made inquiries about your whereabouts, seemingly eager for a fight with you." The assistant explained.

Brontes tapped his fingers lightly on the table, sinking into contemplation as he acknowledged his assistant's observation.

Essentially, Kaido sought a showdown after reviewing records of Brontes's clash with Whitebeard.

It appeared Kaido was keen on probing the mysteries within Brontes, particularly focusing on his exceptional regenerative capabilities.

As a formidable force in his own right, Kaido could recognize familiar traits in Brontes's combat style, especially his remarkable self-healing faculty, a trait shared by Brontes and himself.

After seeing the battle records, the Beasts Pirates came to regard Brontes as a mirrored image of Kaido himself, even speculating that Brontes might possess a power akin to Kaido's, given their strikingly similar prowess in combat.

Realizing this similarity, Kaido descended upon the G-1 Base with the specific intent of confronting Brontes, aiming to dispel his uncertainties and validate his suspicions about Brontes's body secrets.
