117 Chapter 117

"Captain, shouldn't we stop him?" asked Jinbe

"Do you think he will lose?"

"It isn't about winning or losing, but that guy is a high-ranking member of Kaido's crew. If we kill his guys here, he'll definitely become angry at us."

"So what?"

"Huh? But sir…"

"Fighting against Kaido is going to happen sooner or later, so why should we try and become friendly with him. And I doubt that he'll leave wherever he is to chase after some kids. And besides, he told Page One to kill me if I refuse. Are you telling me to hand my and your lives over to that guy?"

"I guess we don't have any choice. I'll trust your decision, Captain."

[Akari P.O.V.]

I looked at the guy in front of me who also has an Ancient Zoan Fruit.

'I'm currently towering over him, but that isn't ideal on a ship. I have little room to move around. I need to change my form.'

<Second Form: Speed>

I started shrinking till I was the same size as a normal tiger. The guy, who I'll call Page One since that's written on his torso, looked surprised.

"Grrrooowlll."

I started growling and slowly moving around him. We kept glaring at each other the entire time till he made his move and swung his tail towards me. I dodged to the right, and he hit the place where I was just standing, destroying it. I immediately went into high gear and appeared behind him. I swiped my claws on his back.

"RROOOOAAARRR!"

Page One roared out of pain and swung his tail at me again, but I disappeared, and he ended up destroying a part of his ship without hitting me.

I'm standing on top of the mast, thinking of my next move.

'Even though I managed to hit him, the damage was minimal. I guess this is what I get for trading my power in for speed. And as an Ancient Zoan, he has great defense and recovery abilities. But this just means that I have to hit him so many times that it doesn't matter. And with my speed, that will be no problem to do while dodging his pathetic attacks. I can easily see through them with Haki.'

He looked up at me and glared.

"Come down here, you coward! All you're good at is running away!"

"It isn't my fault that you're a slowpoke."

"You bastard!"

"BOOOM!"[SFX: Cannons firing]

Cannons suddenly started firing at the 9 enemy ships, excluding the one I'm standing on.

"What is this! Why are those cowards attacking while I'm fighting!" screamed Page One

I appeared behind him.

"It's called not being an idiot."

I opened my mouth and bit the back of his head.

"RROOOOAAAAR!!!"

He started roaring out of pain and tried to shake me off, but I didn't let go. He then tried to hit me off with his tail, and I jumped out of the way right as he was about to hit me, and he ended up hitting his own head and smashed himself face forward into the floor.

I looked around and saw that the other 9 ships are sinking towards the bottom of the sea, and the ones that survived from the cannonballs got finished off with bullets. In the second that I wasn't paying attention, I suddenly sensed something with my Haki, and before I could get out of the way, I was hit by Page One's tail.

"Argh!"

I got send flying back to the main ship. I landed vertically on the mast, and as I was about to jump back when Captain held up his hand, stopping me.

'Why is Captain stopping me? Is he saying that I've failed?'

I looked at the enemy's last remaining ship, and they started sailing away. Page One is glaring daggers at me. I quickly ran towards Captain.

When I was about to speak up, he said something surprising.

"You were really amazing, Akari. You ran circles around that guy. He didn't know what to do with you. It's too bad you got distracted in battle, but that is just something you have to learn from."

"You aren't mad at me?"

"Of course not."

"Then why did you stop me? I could have taken him down, sir!" I said in a loud voice

Before I could apologize for my rude tone, Captain said something I didn't think of.

"I just wanted Kaido to now that we aren't some second rate pirate group. There are enough pirate groups with a lot of members. Even more than us. But some of them can't even survive on the Grand Line. So maybe he thought that this is one of those crews that have a lot of weak people and just a couple of strong ones that keep the rest alive."

He took a breath before continuing.

"Taking those 9 ships down was done by the guys he thought might be useless. The people that were on the same ship as Page One saw that. So they will tell that to Page One, and Page One will tell that to Kaido, and then Kaido will be a lot more careful when he approaches us. Unless he is drunk, then it doesn't matter who his enemy is."

"So the reason you told me to stop was because Kaido will trust what Page One says more, and weaklings escaping after someone that strong got killed will arouse suspicion, and he'll think that they're spies."

"Ding, ding, ding! We got a winner! That's exactly it."

[Ken P.O.V.]

I looked at Akari, who turned back into his human form with a smile.

'The first time I met him, I thought that he would be an idiot, but he is far from it. Because he was doing so little damage, he thought of a plan to use his own power against him. But I do wonder who would have won if they fought on land and both used Haki. We might find out when I'm going to take Kaido's head.'

"So it wasn't a completely reckless plan. It will work for the time being, but after he knows enough about our power, we will be in a lot of trouble." said Jinbe

"But when that time comes, we'll be ready for him. Now let's stop talking about him and keep moving towar-"

I turned my head and looked far into the distance with a wry smile.

"What is it, Ken? Did you see something?" asked Brook

"It's nothing. Like I was saying, let's get back on track and towards our destination."

"Yes, sir!"

Everyone said, and they immediately got to work.

I grasped Shusui.

'Kaido ey. There are only two known blades that have been able to cut him. How about you become the first blade to kill him.'

I smiled and walked into my room and grabbed a book from a secret compartment that is locked with a key. The secret compartment is made out of sea stone.

'I should really reread this book before I start forgetting something really important.'

(An: The book where he wrote everything he remembered in.)

[Next Morning]

I'm standing on the main deck, leaning on the railings looking at the sunrise with a cup of coffee in my hand. When I finished drinking my coffee, a newspaper bird landed next to me. I gave it a coin, and I grabbed a newspaper. It flew away, and I looked at the headline.

[The Azure Pirates defeated one of Kaido's Tobiroppo!]

'Like I thought. It was Morgan's who I sensed. He really wants to get me into trouble. I should give him a good smack in the face now that I'm stronger than him.'

When I was about to throw the newspaper away, a bounty poster fell out of it. I picked it up.

"WHAT!"

My whole crew immediately appeared on the main deck, thinking that there was an emergency. Most were still in their pajamas.

"What the hell happened? I thought something bad happened." said Ace

Then they all noticed the newspaper that I dropped and the headline.

"That will get Kaido mad, but you knew that something like this would happen. So why were you so surprised?" asked Deuce

"You idiots. I didn't scream because of something bad."

I showed them the bounty poster.

[Monkey D. Luffy 40 million Dead or Alive]

"Luffy!" screamed Ace and Sabo

"You guys better remember this guy. He is our little brother!"

Sabo and Ace looked so happy, but the rest looked annoyed.

"You really woke us up for this. Yawn. I'm going back to sleep." said Deuce

The rest nodded and also started going back to their beds. Ace, Sabo, and I let out some bloodlust, and they all froze.

"It seems like you guys aren't happy for your Captain and crewmates, so we will have to teach you pricks how to show some respect."

"You're all dead." said Ace

"Blame yourself for ruining this moment." said Sabo

Ace blocked their path, and after that, a bunch of ass-kickings began.

[If someone is thinking, 'Why doesn't Deuce just destroy the ships with lightning?' it's because that's too boring. He has 11.000 footsoldiers and a lot of ships with cannons. If I'm not going to use them, it will just be a waste. I might as well have left them in Impel Down. But that's just how I think about it.
