*3rd POV*
A lone boy with short black hair that barely covered his eyes was Asian squatting next to a street. Staring blankly at nothing in particular.
'What am I doing? Oh right I'm here to make a 'friend'' Thinking about that cursed word made Duke sulk not because he didn't want to make friends he didn't really care if made a new friend or not he was sulking about the fact his parents kicked him out of the house before he could finish his rice.
'Might as well walk around.' Just as he was standing up he heard someone calling out to him. 'Great just great.'
A kid who looked to be 2 years older than him, dark blue hair and black eyes holding what seemed to be a soccer ball called out. "Hey you wanna play with me."
Finding no reason to refuse the person Duke agreed. "Sure, what's your name?"
"The names Eli what's yours?"
"Mines Duke, so what do you want to play?"
"I just want someone to kick ball with."
"You just want to kick the ball with someone?" Duke said with a confused look on his face kids and their simplicity.
"Yep."
"Well where are we going to play."
"I know a place where there's a big field come on follow me!" Eli shouted excitedly running off to the field with Duke right behind him.
*1st POV*
The soft green grass, the gentle breeze whipping my hair into the air and the bright yellow dandelions scattered about, it was stunning. If this was here in a small island not in the grand line imagine what the islands there looked like, what kind of changes the bizarre weather would bring to the wildlife and the wildlife itself must be bizarre.
"How did you find this place?" I asked amazed at how he found this place considering all the turns we had to do to get here.
"Well no one wants to play with me so I wander around in the woods and found this field anyways let's play." As Eli finished his sentence I found a ball heading straight for my face bending my body back I saw the ball flying past my face barely missing me.
"Hey! What was that for? I wasn't even ready!" I shouted at him while I saw him ignoring me running to get the ball. Seeing him ignore me a tick mark appeared on my head as I grinned evilly. 'So he wants to play like that huh'
The ball came flying at me again but this time I was ready lifting my leg to kick the ball I was surprised to find it was spinning and at a incredible rate at that. Pushing through the ball went straight back at Eli who simply stopped the ball with a surprised look on his face. "Wow first you dodged it now you kicked it back! It seems I was right in asking you to play with me."
'Yeah right I bet everyone already knows your inability to control your strength.'I rolled my eyes at his comment.
After each pass we kicked the ball harder and harder until we puffed each other out laying on the ground.
"Why were you sitting by yourself?" Staring at the clouds he questioned me.
My parents forced me to leave the house and I can only go back when I get a friend."
"Really?" I nodded, it started out as a snicker then into a full blow laugh he looked like he was dying. Heh that's what you deserve for laughing at me.
"Why don't you play with anyone else?"
"It's cause I kick too hard well that's what they say at least."
"Is that all the reasons?"
"Well I might have kicked the ball into their faces." He whispered but I still heard I laughed but not as hard as him.
"And what made you think that me a four year old could handle your kicks?"
"Dunno you looked strong? Anyways you said you wanna be friends since you can't go back until you got one."
"Friends? Sure..."
Huh it's getting easier to write longer chapters not that it makes a difference considering how short my previous chapters are.
