Chapter 43 : Clone-Clone Fruit!!

"Because of its environment, Impel Down has always been known as the 'Iron Wall'! But after hearing what you said, it seems that this 'Iron Wall' isn't so impenetrable when faced with certain Devil Fruit powers!" Ivankov agreed wholeheartedly with Buggy's observation. Devil Fruits are so unpredictable that they defy common sense entirely!

However, Buggy did not immediately respond to Ivankov's comments. 

Indeed, some Devil Fruits' abilities can allow escapees to bypass the obstacles of Impel Down, but whether they can actually escape successfully depends on the strength of the user! 

For example, Mr. 3's Wax-Wax Fruit can certainly be used to build ships, but with Mr. 3's current strength, the idea of a wax ship crossing the Calm Belt, home to massive Sea Kings, is nothing more than a fantasy!

Buggy raised an eyebrow, puzzled, "Why not? Don't you have Den Den Mushi? Can't you just make a call?"

Ivankov clarified, "There are different types of Den Den Mushi. The ones we have were all stolen from Impel Down. Most of the Den Den Mushi here are short-range models, which can only receive signals over very short distances!"

"The farthest this Den Den Mushi in my hand can communicate is probably from here to the Gate of Justice!"

"And those long-range Den Den Mushi in Impel Down are linked directly to Marine Headquarters and Mariejois. There's no point in trying to steal them!" 

"So even if I wanted to contact Sabo now, I can't!" 

Buggy nodded in agreement, sighing in frustration. "That's really unfortunate!"

Ace's public execution has already started. Even if Sabo hears the news now, there's nothing he can do! 

It looks like Sabo is destined to miss this battle! 

After a brief wait, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed from the direction of the elevator. Inazuma and a peculiar-looking figure soon came into view. 

The strange-looking individual was dressed in heavy makeup, false eyelashes, and wore a wide, cheerful grin. He danced with unusual steps as he moved forward, radiating energy and joy. 

This person was none other than Mr. 2 Bon Clay from Baroque Works! 

"Yo, ahahaha! The way of the Okama... the way of the Okama, yeah, spin in circles..." 

Bon Clay hummed a lively, off-tune song, occasionally performing intricate dance moves as he advanced. It was hard not to be concerned about his mental state at the moment! 

However, upon seeing Ivankov from a distance, with arms folded and a stern look, Bon Clay froze and nearly stumbled! 

Inazuma, who was standing by, quickly helped Bon Clay up and asked in confusion, "What's wrong with you?" 

"It's nothing, it's just... Is that the legendary Lord Ivankov?" 

Bon Clay quickly composed himself, standing as straight and proper as a school student, and asked with a hint of nervousness. 

Inazuma nodded and said, "Didn't I tell you I'd be taking you to see Lord Ivankov today? Hurry up, don't keep Lord Ivankov waiting too long!" 

"Okay, okay!" 

Mr. 2 nodded enthusiastically, carefully adjusting his appearance to make a good impression. The two of them quickened their pace, soon approaching Buggy and his crew.

"I've brought them!" Inazuma announced to Buggy before finishing his task and joining Ivankov.

Buggy acknowledged Inazuma with a nod and a gesture. Meanwhile, Mr. 2 stepped up to Ivankov, standing tall, bowing deeply. "Lord Ivankov, I am Mr. 2, your admirer. It is an honor to meet you!"

"What a spirited young man!" Ivankov remarked, eyeing Mr. 2 with interest. It wasn't every day they encountered someone as confident as Mr. 2 in this wild new world!

Mr. 2, thrilled by the praise, responded, "Thank you for your kind words! Lord Ivankov, may I accompany you in the future?"

Ivankov waved his hand dismissively. "Let's discuss the future after we escape! If we don't get out of here, there won't be a future to talk about!"

"I've a favor to ask !" 

Mr. 2 became excited.

"It's my pleasure to assist Lord Ivankov! What do you need me to do?" Mr. 2 eagerly inquired.

Ivankov pointed towards Buggy. "Ask him about it."

Only then did Mr. 2 follow Ivankov's gesture and look at Buggy.

Buggy didn't waste time. "Bon Clay, you're the user of the Clone-Clone Fruit, correct? Can your ability be used on the dead?"

Mr. 2 nodded confidently. "Yes, as long as I can touch their face, I can imitate them!"

"Excellent! Domino, bring me the Den Den Mushi!" Buggy said with a grin.

Domino, prepared for this request, promptly retrieved a small Den Den Mushi from his pocket and handed it to Buggy. Without waiting for further instructions, he provided Buggy with the Den Den Mushi number.

Buggy handed the Den Den Mushi to Mr. 2 and pointed at Magellan's body. "This Den Den Mushi is for contacting the warships outside. I've set everything up for you. Your job is to go out and impersonate Magellan to lure all the warships. Got it? Ivankov's escape depends on you!"

"No problem! This is right up my alley!"

Since it involves Ivankov, Mr. 2 patted his chest and vowed confidently.

Mr. 2 wasn't just boasting. During his time with the Baroque Works, he often took on different identities. It's safe to say that impersonation is his specialty!

After a busy period of preparation, Mr. 2 was flawlessly transformed into Magellan. His appearance, clothing, and demeanor were all strikingly lifelike. Even Domino, who had been with Magellan for a long time, couldn't spot any flaws!

Satisfied, Buggy gave a nod, signaled everyone to step aside, and then opened the gate to Impel Down.
