Chapter 11: Clash with Kaido

The air crackled with tension as Ryo and Yamato found themselves face to face with the formidable Kaido. Towering above them like an indomitable force of nature, Kaido's imposing presence sent shivers down their spines. With Yamato wielding her kanabo and Ryo clutching his katana tightly, they prepared themselves for the inevitable clash.

"How are you still alive? I saw you die with my own eyes." Kaido's voice boomed, resonating with power as he eyed them with disdain. "I did, but fate had me already planned elsewhere", he said with a cheeky grin. But they all knew that this grin was just a facade to hide his fear. Yes, he had killed him and that was the most traumatic event of his life until now. But he had to put this feeling aside for now.

"We just need time to escape", he told Yamato. She just nodded. "Escape? Ha! You think you can escape from me?" Kaido scoffed, his laughter echoing through the battlefield.

Without further hesitation, Kaido lunged forward, his massive form charging at them with ferocious intent. Yamato wasted no time in meeting his attack head-on, swinging her kanabo with incredible strength. The clash of metal against metal reverberated through the air as their weapons collided, sending shockwaves rippling outward.

As they fought, Ryo felt a surge of energy coursing through him, his senses sharpening with each passing moment. Drawing upon his abilities, he focused on evading Kaido's relentless onslaught, his movements becoming more fluid and precise.

"Stay focused, Yamato! We need to buy ourselves as much time as possible to escape," Ryo called out, his voice cutting through the chaos of battle.

Yamato agreed in understanding, her resolve hardening as she redoubled her efforts. Swinging her kanabo with calculated precision, she aimed for Kaido's weak points, striking with all her might.

But Kaido was no ordinary opponent. With each blow, he shrugged off their attacks effortlessly, his thick skin proving impervious to their strikes. Despite their best efforts, they could barely make a scratch in his defenses.

"We can't keep this up forever," Yamato muttered, frustration evident in her voice as she exchanged blows with Kaido.

"We don't need to defeat him, just distract him," Ryo replied, his mind racing as he assessed their options.

Suddenly, Zoe's voice appeared in his head. "I could help you, you know?" "Then do it dammit!", he replied angry. There was just a soft chuckle as she answered. "My, my. So rude. Why can't you be be as polite as you are handsome?" He just scoffed. "Fine. I'm sorry. Please help me, it's kind of urgent." He could almost heard her smiling. "See? Wasn't that bad, was it?"

After that her tone grew more serious which Ryo was thankful of. "With this Devil Fruit you have eaten, you are able to use and manipulate every form of enery there is. You should have already noticed that your senses are slightly enhanced. That is one ability of yours. With that you should be able to shift energy to different places." "You mean teleportation?", he asked. She began to laugh. "That is a vast understatement but yes. You need to focus on the energy and the place where you want to shift, or teleport in your case."

With this he had a escape plan. He knew if he would go without Yamato she would be killed by her own Father for her betrayal. But he wouldn't even think of leaving without her.

"Yamato, follow my lead," Ryo said, his eyes glinting with determination as he began to focus.

With a nod of agreement, Yamato fell into sync with Ryo, their movements becoming synchronized as they orchestrated their next move. Dodging and weaving through Kaido's attacks, they began to draw him away from the docks, leading him on a wild chase across the battlefield.

As they ran, Ryo focused his thoughts on a distant location, somewhere very far from here. His mind zeroing in on their escape route. With each step, he concentrated harder, blocking out the chaos around him as he visualized their destination.

"We're almost there," Ryo called out, his voice tinged with urgency as they approached the edge of the battlefield.

With Kaido hot on their heels, they reached the outskirts of Onigashima, the sea stretching out before them like a vast expanse of freedom. Seizing the moment, Ryo and Yamato sprinted towards the cliff, their hearts pounding with anticipation.

"Here goes nothing," Ryo muttered, his focus unwavering as he concentrated on his and Yamatos energy. He grabbed her hand tight.

With a burst of energy, Ryo channeled his newfound abilities, tapping into the power of teleportation as he visualized their destination. As Kaido saw that something was about to happen he unleashed a enormous Boro-Breath.

As it came closer to the two, all he saw from his perspective that his daughter just closed her eyes out of fear. As the attack connected with the ground, everything evaporated. The only thing that was there as the blast was over, was a crater.

Even with his haki Kaido couldn't feel these two anymore. Now he was dead for real and there was no coming back from this. That his daughter had to be a collateral was unpleasant but left him cold. She was just as replaceable as anyone else. In fact he was glad. He was always disappointed that he hadn't gotten a son instead. A son that wouldn't always think different as him. One that would be just like him. Well anyways, now that this nuisance is over, he could focus on other things instead
