12 Saitama vs Superman

Sitting against the rocky, snowy base of Mount Everest, Saitama whistled to himself as he looked at his reflection in a nearby frozen pond to pick at his peeling, fading clown makeup that still adorned his face from earlier that day. Being in a different time zone, night had fallen over the massive mountain range, where the bald hero waited patiently for someone to heed his call. Detecting something approaching fast, he was gleeful that he didn't have to wait long.

A man landed around a kilometer from where Saitama was standing, impacting the Earth like a cruise missile as the entire area trembled beneath his feet. In the light of a full moon, the one punch man could see a familiar blue and red-clad figure who had a large "S" emblazoned on his suit, which brought a smile to his face.

"Could it be…Superman?" Saitama asked with curiosity. "HAHAHAHA you're exactly who I was hoping they'd send!"

"And you're a mass murderer, but I'm here to put a stop to your crimes once and for all," the towering man explained as he strode towards his fellow caped hero. "I don't know your backstory, but I need to neutralize you as a threat immediately."

"Well, if you're going to do that…" Saitama began, before vanishing into thin air and abruptly reappearing right in front of Superman. "…then you'll definitely need to be strong enough to survive one of these!"

At point blank range, the caped baldy threw a single punch at the man of steel's chest. A sonic boom shook the area as the massive force from the blow sent Superman flying backwards like a swatted fly, helplessly careening through the air and smashing into an adjacent mountain.

"Booooo Superman? More like Super-disappointing! HAHAHAHHA" Saitama laughed, until he noticed his opponent flying right back at him at blinding speeds. Stepping to the side, the bald hero dodged a massive punch from the man of steel, who quickly changed his direction in midair upon missing and attempted a series of rapid punches in return.

"That really stung, but I've taken worse," Superman said with a grin as Saitama effortlessly kept up with his blows, blocking each of them with his red-gloved hands.

"HAHAHAHAHA…okay," the bald hero laughed before his face fell flat for a moment as he pressed his fist right against his opponent's face, sending his body careening away like a ragdoll and again blasting into the side of a mountain. The former-hero was intent on not getting his hopes up that he'd found a worthy opponent.

To his shock, however, Superman returned and came at him at supersonic speeds, his body still unscathed as he reared his fist back and smashed it into Saitama's chest at mach 4. The caped baldy had purposely allowed himself to get hit just to test the strength of the man of steel, where he was flung backwards in a blur and sent careening into Mount Everest, barreling through the solid rock several miles into the towering mound.

"Heheheh…HAHAHAHAHA! Wow, what a rush!" Saitama cackled as he strolled out of the gaping hole that his flying body had made in the rock. "You know, that punch almost tickled there for a second! Hmmm nah, never mind, I lied. Didn't feel a thing!"

Smirking, Superman was actually shocked that such an ordinary-looking person managed take his strength unscathed. Flexing his body, he flew back at his opponent to deliver another few super-powered punches, but the caped baldy had a volley of his own awaiting him.

"Consecutive normal punches!" Saitama grinned as he was suddenly upon the man of steel, rapidly punching into his large chest. Several sonic booms caused the mountain range to tremble and start several avalanches as Superman was propelled backwards faster than the Human eye could perceive.

Another nearby mountain exploded into a gargantuan ball of snow and rock as trillions of pounds of material was blasted away like sawdust by Saitama's multiple quick-shot punches as well as by Superman slamming into it. The Earth shook as chunks of rock the size of houses fell like pebbles.

Snickering to himself as he lazily picked at his ear with his pinky, the bald hero was fascinated to see Superman again emerge from the mountain and fly straight at him, still seemingly-unharmed.

"Now that was a great pummeling, my chest really hurts!" the Kryptonian yelled as his eyes began to glow red as he approached. A thin laser beam shot out of them a second later, where Saitama effortlessly flipped around the twin beams and vanished from sight. Superman continued to track him, however, and was soon able to pinpoint the fast-moving man and flew to him in an instant.

"HAHAHAHAH hey, watch the dome, I just waxed the thing!" the caped baldy laughed as the man of steel gripped his face and rearing his shoulder back, threw Saitama into the sky with enough force to put a freight train into orbit. The former-hero flew straight at Mount Everest and smashed into its summit several thousand feet up and caused millions of tons of rock to collapse and fall to Earth.

"I can see how you were able to obliterate Gotham in a single punch, your strength is incredible," Superman admitted as his voice boomed over the mountain range. "But you're still holding back, I can tell. Just what is the extent of your power?"

"I should say the same thing about you, you've got strength to spare!" Saitama cackled as he effortlessly kicked a chunk of rock the size of jumbo jet off of him and quickly ran down the mound. "Come at me, Superman, I want to see what you've really got, but before I get my hopes up…"

The man of steel was again at a loss as the bald maniac was suddenly right in front of him, where he pulled his arm back and prepared for what Superman assumed was yet another punch.

"Serious Series: Serious Punch!" Saitama yelled through a wide grin as he pressed his knuckles into the man before him.

An area of around 10 square kilometers was obliterated as an explosion of rock and snow ejected tons of material from the ground. A massive shockwave shattered the faces of several nearby mountains and caused avalanches throughout the Himalayas. Several cities in Nepal lost power, while people from as far away as southern India could sense the immense force of Saitama exercising the tiniest bit of effort into his attack.

Superman, meanwhile, vanished from sight as his body was propelled backwards at such speeds that not even the caped man who punched him was able to tell how far he flew. Holding his still-steaming fist, Saitama giggled as he wondered what became of his opponent.

"Well, that gave me a good laugh, but I guess it was wrong to assume that this guy would survive more than a few half-assed attacks," he said to himself with a shrug. "Ah well, back to finding something fun to do!"

As he turned to face the heavily-damaged mountain, Saitama felt a flutter of goosebumps as he sensed something extremely fast land right behind him. Grinning, he turned around to find Superman, who was trembling slightly as he glared at the bald hero.

"That one sent me all the way to South Africa," the Kryptonian panted as he wiped some blood from his lip. "We'd better take this fight off-planet, or there won't be an Earth left to fight on."
