HER AND HER BROTHER'S DEEPEST TALK SO FAR

Abby opened her eyes and tried to remember for a second where she was before she reached for her phone and dismissed the alarm that wasn't ringing yet. It was only 6:30 in the morning but she put her alarm at seven because she knew she would wake up before it. She chose to wake up that early on a Sunday to prepare Michael his breakfast and his medicine.

Speaking of the handsome.

She thought and smiled before she turned around and saw the still sleeping boyfriend next to her whose arms were wrapped around her waist like it was a normal thing. She touched his forehead and felt good that he wasn't that hot anymore.

"Hey." She whispered and he didn't move a bit. She didn't knew until then that Michael slept like a baby. She smiled and gave him a soft kiss on the cheek before she slowly and carefully got out of the bed.

When she got into the kitchen, she was surprised to see Krizle already preparing food for breakfast and her brother on the dining table sipping his coffee.

"Good morning, beautiful." Krizle greeted her. "Slept well?"

"Yeah. Thanks." She answered while walking toward her.

"You should be. You slept next to the love of your life."

And Abby only smiled out of embarrassment not because of that fact but because her brother was just a few feet away from them.

"You?" She just asked back while trying to ignore her evidently blushing cheeks.

"We did, of course. Right, Pol?" They looked at him at the same time and Apollo just nodded before he went back into checking his phone.

"He didn't, did he?" Abby asked in whisper and Krizle shook her head while mouthing 'no'. She also mouthed 'I see' as a response then she looked at what she was making. She already saw sausages and bacon on plates already cooked.

"What are you making?"

"Peace offering?" And they both chuckled before Krizle answered her properly. "Spam omelet and french toast."

"Oh, need some help?"

"Ahh, can you just brew the coffee."

"Okay."

The two of them finished preparing breakfast exactly when Michael came out of his room already fresh from taking a shower.

"Good morning." He greeted everyone he saw at the dining area who greeted him back.

"Hey." Abby walked closer to him after putting the plate of bacon and sausages on the table. She looked a bit confused and concerned as he gave her a good morning kiss on the lips. "You took a shower?"

"Yeah. I feel so stinky after not having one yesterday."

"Are you feeling better?"

"Definitely." He smiled and hugged her a quick but tight one before they walked to the dining area and took their seats. "Did you guys sleep well?"

"I did." Krizle answered as soon as she sat next to Apollo and poured another round of coffee in his mug. Then they all looked at Apollo who suddenly felt pressured to answer as their eyes waited for one.

"I did, too."

Michael smiled while the two ladies exchanged an I-know-he'd-say that look and smile as they continued to put food on the plates of their boyfriends.

"Good. Thanks, babe." He then said to Abby as she finished filling up his cup of coffee and they all began having their breakfast.

Abby spent the entire Sunday at Michael's making sure that he was totally well before she left that night. She went straight to bed to take a nap when she arrived home and woke up at 10 o'clock in the evening with the knock on her door.

"Apollo?" She said as she opened the door and found her brother standing in front of her room.

"Sorry. Did I wake you up?"

She smiled as she shook her head and opened the door wider to let her brother got in.

"Do you need anything?"

She asked after closing the door and sat next to him in the sofa across from her bed.

"No. Not really. How are you?"

"I'm good. And you? Are you not very sleepy yet?"

"Hmm?"

"I know you didn't get enough sleep at Michael's last night."

Apollo smirked.

"Did Krizle tell you that?"

Abby shook her head before she answered.

"No. I just knew you didn't. She just confirmed."

"How about you? Did you really sleep well last night?"

"I did. I'm only used to sharing a bed with Megan but last night was surprisingly really good." She looked at her brother and smiled. "I was comfortable and happy."

"Really?" Abby nodded continuously. "That was really surprising."

Abby sat properly not feeling sleepy at all with both of her feet on the sofa and faced her brother.

"Did it really worry you a lot?"

"What?"

"I sharing a room with Michael."

Her brother looked at her for a long time and then he sighed deeply.

"Do you remember the time Dad brought me to his business trip in Singapore?"

"The one when I cried so hard at the airport?"

Apollo smiled as he imagined that day when he could hear her cry even as they entered the airport.

"Exactly. You were 10 that time and I was 15 but not strong enough to get away from your very tight hug. You didn't want me to leave because you got no one to spend the summer vacation with."

"That was embarrassing."

"Very much." And they both chuckled. "Anyway, Dad and I had a very serious talk on the night before we went back here. I didn't really understand why he brought me there so I thought that talk was finally his time to discuss business with me. But I was wrong. He sat me down to talk about you."

"Me?" Abby repeated with a bit of a startled face and Apollo nodded.

"Seeing you cry that much in the airport made him realized how close the two of us are. And he was happy to actually witness that. He even felt guilty for leaving you behind when you could really come with us. So he told me to never do that again."

"Leaving me behind?"

Apollo nodded.

"And making you cry like that. He made me promise to never neglect you and to always look after you. That never in any circumstances should I leave your side. He told me that as long as we don't have our own family yet, you should be my priority because Mom is already his. And that even if you finally learn to fall in love with a guy, I should still at least make sure you are okay."

"Even if it's with your best friend?"

"No matter who he is you choose." Abby bit her lower lip and nodded. She had no idea that he and his dad had that kind of conversation so she felt genuinely grateful and deeply moved by the care that the two important boys in her life had for her. Not that she didn't know that before. It just became more clear now.

"Now you understand where all this dictatorship began."

They chuckled after hearing the word that he used to call the strictness and toughness he showed to her.

"I really don't call it dictatorship. It's more like tough love." She smiled at her brother and moved closer to hug him. "A tough but unconditional love I'll never exchange for anything."

"Even for Michael?"

Abby looked up and gave him a glare as she shook her head.

"Not part of that 'anything'."

And Apollo chuckled before he returned her hug.

"I know. And I'm happy with the man you chose. I try to distance myself when you two are together but yesterday was just different. As different as the situation when we allowed you to go to his ancestral home."

"I understand big bro. And I really appreciate you looking after me and constantly being worried of me."

"That's good. But you know what?" Abby let go of the hug and sat properly again to look at him well.

"What?"

"After last night, I proved to myself how much Michael loves and respects you."

"You did?"

Apollo nodded.

"He knows your worth and values my trust the most."

"Oh."

"So, I think last night would be last the time I'll try to invade your privacy."

"Really?" Apollo nodded and Abby couldn't believe what she just heard. "Wow. I don't think I'll get to used to that so easily."

Abby honestly commented and that made Apollo smile. Their conversation was interrupted by another knock on Abby's door and without waiting for them to answer, it opened and they saw their mom peeped.

"Hey children."

"Hey, mom."

"You guys up for a movie night?"

The siblings exchanged glances then nodded at their mom. "Great. Follow me in the theater room."

They stood and went out to follow their mom in their theater room to watch a movie with their parents.
