'So I get to customize my body? I thought I would only choose what race I was going to evolve into and go into a slumber. It seems the process is more detailed than I thought.

Aster felt sick to the stomach, which spoke volumes since he was a disembodied soul hallucinating inside his subconsciousness.

He was not even an adult yet. He was not prepared for choices like this.

Aster took a moment to digest what was in front of him.

29 evolution paths lay bare in front of him, giving him anxiety like never before.

'What the hell? This is too many.

Wasn't I supposed to receive a handful of choices and choose the most obviously broken one? What is this? I didn't know the essences I collected could influence me like this, I didn't know races could be derived from those things.

Can I inspect the choices? And Also why are there so many humans, no, why does every option have human in it?'

Now, let's see what 'High-Human' is.'

[Description: More sophisticated version of the human race. Data collected through vast amounts of soul fragments from humans]

[Specialty: All-rounder. High-Humans have longer life spans, increased quality of energy within attributes, and increased affinities to the elements.]

[Resistances: High-Humans have generally increased resistances in every aspect albeit the increase is minimal]

[Weaknesses: High-Humans do not possess fatal weaknesses which makes this route a viable choice]

'So a human but just better. I guess this is the real evolutionary path of a human without getting mixed with the other two. I wonder what increased quality in energy within attributes mean though.

[It states that the effect of each point of attribute becomes more effective]

'Hoh, so the amount of strength I gain from attribute points increases. Pretty viable choice. I will put this on hold for now though. Let's see the next ones.'

[Race: Warrior Human]

[Description: Sub-race of High-Human. Specifically born for combat, Arch-Human trades life span and fertility for significantly increased density in energy and high attributes]

[Specialty: Trait: Warrior's body. Physical attributes increase directly proportional to exhaustion and damage taken. 

Trait: Warrior's mind. Magic attributes increase directly proportional to the knowledge acquired.]

[Resistances: Immunity to charm, increased resistance to poison, acid, cold, illusions, and heat]

[Weaknesses: Short life span. Arch-humans mature fast since birth but become eligible to die of old age once the body reaches full maturity at around age 17]

'Hey system, I can evolve again after evolving to a race after this right?'

[Positive]

'So, technically, I could evolve after the body gets dangerously close to dying. Since so much of the life span has been sacrificed, I should expect the combat ability to have skyrocketed.'

'Wait, at what stage of maturity would I be after I finish evolving? Will my body be still 16 or will I become a newborn again?'

Aster shuddered.

'In any case, this one is also a viable choice. High human seems to be the better choice if I just want to enjoy life with the increased life span and all but Arch-Human is just built to be a machine of destruction. I would probably lean towards the latter as of right now.'

'Onto the next option.'

[Race: Fury Human]

[Description: A quasi-hybrid of wrath demon and a human. Inherits the natural impulsive emotions of its demonic parentage but remains mostly human. Can not control demonic energy]

[Specialty: Capable of absorbing Essence of Wrath to increase attributes and cultivate core more efficiently. Can use the skill [Rage]]

[Resistances: Slightly increased resistance to attacks imbued with demonic energy. No effect against pure demonic energy]

[Weaknesses: Will turn into a demonic human if a certain amount of essence of wrath has been used to cultivate and strengthen for a certain length of time. May turn into a complete Wrath demon with enough time. Damage from divine attacks increased by 50%]

'I see, the rest of those are the exact same except the essence required changes. I should check the ones derived from multiple essences to make sure.'

[Race: Human of Oppression]

[Description: Quasi-Devil hybrid of Wrathful Pride and Human. The incarnation of violence, this unholy fiend will always grow to be a Tyrant]

[Specialty: Can absorb both essences of pride and wrath to cultivate core and enhance attributes. Can use the skill [Rageful Ego]]

[Resistances: Increased resistance to demonic energy.]

[Weakness: Will turn into a devilish human if a certain amount of essence of wrath and pride has been used to cultivate and strengthen for a certain length of time. May turn into a complete Prideful Wrath or Wrathful Pride devil with enough time. Damage from divine attacks will be doubled.]
