"Make Kamar-Taj focus solely on mystical defense, becoming Earth's shield against all things mystical, and I will train students ready to join you in defending the Earth against any kind of threat we face," David said as fire began to burn before him.
"A divine being dealing in the demonic arts?" the lady replied.
"Still better than the premier defense against dark forces utilizing the powers of the dark," David replied with a smile as he passed on the contract that had formed from the fire.
"I do not see the benefit this holds for Kamar-Taj. Your knowledge is a given and would mean that stronger students would join Kamar-Taj each year; however, that is up to them, not you or me."
"Yao, it seems that your long years have made you a bit distrustful of human need for grandeur and glory. What greater glory is there than dying while protecting the planet?"
"Dying while protecting the universe?"
"Okay, that also works, but understand my point: this will merge both my school and Kamar-Taj into the same entity. In a business sense, we will help each other grow well beyond what we once were," David explained.
"I see then. As the Sorcerer Supreme and the current master of Kamar-Taj, I accept your deal. Do not make us regret this choice, Great One," Yao replied as she shook David's hand.
"In the training to come, you may regret it, but in the long run, you won't."
"Training?" Yao asked, confused.
"I can't have a hypocrite as my headmistress, can I?" David replied as both their names appeared on the contract.
"No, wait! Let me tell you something, let me…" Yao screamed, but David paid her no mind. Just like with the witch coven before, David had remade her and sent her into the world within the remade Darkhold.
There was no better place to learn about the mystical sides of the world than within the remade Darkhold, the Codex Eternal.
After creating it, David didn't study it much until information on it stuffed itself into his mind.
The Codex contained all knowledge of all things magical and mystical in nature—from the coordinates of every mystical realm to the true names of every demon or angel in existence.
It had a small world within it and a will of its own. Its will served as the perfect teacher for those he chose, and now he had five people within it.
He planned for all five ladies to become the primary defense against the dark forces.
Would it disrupt the flow of fate, time, and reality? Most definitely yes; he could feel his power being halved again by the Judge just for this.
The creation of the school wasn't part of the punishments he initially received.
"You guys know that you can just cut off this part of the multiverse? I will continue to mess with it as long as I live," David mumbled as he complained.
"Kill him."
"He has done nothing to warrant that."
"You are hereby charged with interrupting the timeline."
Several voices resounded throughout the area, but David merely chuckled before looking up at the sky.
"It seems like those three faces of yours are becoming too heavy for you to carry."
"Father says to stop talking," the voice said before suddenly disappearing.
