51 Chapter 51: Culprit

The person stood up from the crouching position. There was no trace of guilty can be seen on her face.

The big black hood acted as a disguise for the lady, but Amy Shen could tell who she was immediately. Even though the person in front of her was wearing a mask, she could still recognise her.

Amy Shen could see that there was a new fresh scratch below the old scratch. "Why are you doing this?" Amy Shen looked at the beautiful face in front of her.

A smile formed on her face. The lady dangled a box nail in the air as if she was trying to provoke Amy Shen. "You mean this? This is nothing compared to what I feel."

"Apologize to An An." Amy Shen tried to take the box nail from the lady.

The lady put the box nail in the pocket of her hood and tried to walk away from Amy Shen.

"Chloe! Follow me upstairs to apologise to An An now." Amy Shen grabbed Chloe's hand to stop her from walking away.

Chloe pulled her hand, violently to break away from Amy Shen. Then she pushed Amy Shen away.

The strength exerted by Chloe was too much. Amy Shen was pushed to the back, bumped into Qiao An's car rear bumper before she fell to the ground, scraping her elbow in the process.

Chloe was staring at Amy Shen as if she did not expect that things escalated that bad. Without even trying to help Amy, Chloe walked away once again.

Amy Shen ran after Chloe and grabbed onto her hands once again. After that, she dragged the struggling Chloe with her. Chloe was struggling so much that she scratched Amy's hand.

"Brother, open the door." Amy Shen shouted from the outside because she could not do it herself. If she did, Chloe would try to break away and run from her.

Shen Jun Shan opened the door and saw something that he never thought will be possible in his lifetime – his sister and his ex-girlfriend in one frame.

Amy Shen dragged Chloe to go inside the house, and for whatever reason, Chloe stopped resisting. "She's the culprit. I saw her scratching An An's car."

As if on cue, Qiao An walked out from Amy Shen's room in her pyjamas when she heard her name being mentioned. Upon seeing her, Chloe rolled her eyes and started emitting a hostile aura.

"My bad." Chloe held her head high. She did not seem apologetic about it. It was more like the apology was made half-heartedly because she was forced to say it.

"Why? What have I ever done to you?" Qiao An confronted Chloe.

"Don't think that I don't know what you did. Jin and I broke up. If someone can change Jin's mind, that would be you. You must have told him something you heard from the toilet incident, am I right? You're just an outsider. Your mom happened to get married to a rich man, and you're just tagging along with the fortune."

This is not the first time Qiao An heard that she was just riding the fortune of the Tang family; that she was only an outsider, and she will never be a 'real Tang'.

That is one of the reasons why Qiao An decided not to show herself with the Tang, and she never told anyone about her relationship with the Tang family. She did not want her family to get implicated by the evil talks, especially her mother.

Qiao An might feel sad about it when she was younger, but now, not really. She learned to accept the fact that people are going to talk bad about her no matter what she did – like Chloe did at the moment.

"There are things in the world that we cannot control; fate, life, love and the human heart. Are you saying I control my brother's heart? You must not be too bright then. And I – I hate stupid people."

"I don't know what you thought I did to make your life miserable. I don't care, and I don't want to know, but please refrain yourself from involving my family in your delusional justification. If you broke up, you deal with my brother yourself. Why bother involving outsider like me? Are you desperate?"

"Can't accept the fact that you might do wrong in your relationship, that's why you need someone to take the blame? Since you think you are so cool, you might have that idea in your mind.

"I am so beautiful and kind, and I did nothing wrong. You must be thinking that and decided to hate on me to make yourself feel better. But when the heart is full of hatred, the eyes will be blinded."

"Your head is so high up in space; you need to come back down to earth. I really want to slap your face right now, but I feel like I might get infected with your vanity and foolishness. Please go out now. Your apology is not accepted."

Even though the Shen siblings were there, but since they were not involved, they were just staying at the side. Seeing how Qiao An spoke her mind in one go while insulting Chloe really made Amy Shen gloated in pride.

Qiao An was talking smoothly and quickly that Chloe did not even get the chance to retaliate. Automatically, she glanced at Shen Jun Shan to plead for help.

Shen Jun Shan knew that look thrown by Chloe as she used to give him the same look when she felt that she was wronged when they were still together.

Shen Jun Shan approached Qiao An and patted her head to calm her down. He turned to Chloe. "I don't know what's got into you, but please leave now."

Seeing that her last hope did not help her, Chloe went out and even slammed the door.

Right after she was taken to the police station because she caused a ruckus in the Sun and Moon Restaurant, Chloe had to ask her aunt who stayed in City L to bail her out.

Chloe was so depressed that she had to stoop so low just to keep Jin by her side.

She kept on thinking about it; about where things went wrong and what might cause them to break up. Chloe listed out a lot of things and people that might cause them to break up, but none of it mentioned how fake her attitude was when she was with Jin.

It was easier to blame someone else than for a narcissist to admit that they were the cause of the breakup.

Since Chloe had a bad impression of Qiao An, she concluded that Qiao An must have said something to Jin. Probably the things he heard in the toilet. That made Chloe hated Qiao An more.

Chloe asked her friend from the charity dinner to find out about Qiao An. After she got the information from her friend, Chloe wanted to seek revenge.

Truthfully, Chloe was not an evil person. She was just a fame-hungry person and greedy for money. Never did Chloe had the idea to cause harm to Qiao An. She just wanted to scare her a bit. That was why she scratched the car or maybe flattened the tyre.

Chloe asked a few days leave from her acting and singing training even though she should have been practising hard for her debut for the sake of pursuing love that got away. Even though she knew that if Jin did not love her by now, then it means that he might never fall in love with her.

Chloe knew it from the bottom of her heart, but she refused to acknowledge it. The pain was consuming her. Chloe rarely cried because of love and breakup, but for the first in a long time, she cried.
