Why Didn't You Tell Me

At the palace training field, two figures fought as bright lights of fire glowed in the dark. The smell of cinder and smoke covered the area as two men sparred.

Akeem eyes glowed bright as he charged after his father as the older man blocked him.

"That's my boy. Keep it coming." Malik laughed as Akeem's eyes glowed bright. 

Akeem grinned as he gave his father a powerful kick. Malik pulled away and held his hands up. "Okay. Time out. Time out." Akeem stopped as he looked at his father. "Relax."

Akeem sat down on the ground as his father sat next to him. The both of them looked like they were roughed up and exhausted as they looked up at the night sky. Akeem had taken off his shirt, he was covered in battle scars and some tattoos. 

Malik smiled and shook his head as he looked up at the night sky. "Your mother is going to kill us for doing this without her."
