The uncertainity

Arvin was moved by Oliver's words. Although he knew Oliver would never abandon him but his reassurance still gave him some confidence to listen to his heart.

"Thank you man, I'll never forget your kindness." Arvin reached out intending to hug Oliver.

However, Oliver moved and dodged. Then he pretended to be very disgusted and said coldly, "Don't get so excited. I'm not interested in you so stay away from me"

Arvin looked at him speechless then with an evil smile he shouted loudly, "What are you talking about? How many times have we slept with each other?"

"Who slept with whom?" Ava's soft voice sounded from behind Oliver as she asked seriously.

Oliver turned and instantly his face darkened. He knew Arvin said it intentionally, before he could clear it out Arvin said with a mischievous smile, "Ava, don't get me wrong. I was talking about someone else, not CEO Knight."

Although, Oliver's face was black, but he was relieved to see Arvin got back to his usual playful self. There was no trace of depression or sadness in his handsome face.

"Oh, I know that. I have no doubt about Oliver's sexual orientation." Ava looked at Oliver with a smile, her eyes were full of love.

Oliver's face became soft and he took her in his arm.

"Mr. Knight, Miss Green, and Mr. O'Neil have some ginger water, it will help you with the cold." Mrs. Lee came to the living room with a tray and said with a smile.

Ava smiled and thought Mrs. Lee was so thoughtful. She always took care of them like her own children. "Thank you, Mrs. Lee," Ava said softly.

"The food is also ready and served, whenever you are ready to eat." Mrs. Lee said as she put down the tray.

Ava took a cup of ginger water and handed it to Oliver. Oliver took it and stared at the ginger water with disgust in his eyes. He hated the smell of ginger and was trying hard not to throw up.

Arvin on the other hand took the cup of water happily and drank it without any hesitation as if it was something very tasty.

Ava took a sip of the water and glanced at Oliver. Seeing the disgust in his eyes Ava narrowed her eyes and asked, "Oliver, why aren't you drinking? Don't you like ginger water?

Oliver said with disgust, "No, I don't like the smell of ginger. I have never had it since I was a child."

"Then why are you holding it? If you don't like it then don't force yourself to drink it." Ava said with a thoughtful smile.

Mrs. Lee, who was standing at the side, suddenly remembered that Oliver doesn't like ginger water. She panicked and quickly said, "I'm sorry, Mr. Knight, I completely forgot you don't like the taste of ginger."

"It's OK, Mrs. Lee. Go to your room and have some rest." Oliver said in understanding.

After Mrs. Lee left, they sat at the dining table and ate happily. The atmosphere in the dining room was more lively than usual because of Arvin. They didn't hang around after dinner instead Arvin went to the guest room to rest and Ava, Oliver went to their bedroom.

Ava was lying lazily on the bed in Oliver's arm, she asked softly, "Oliver, what happened to Arvin, did he left his home?"

"Yes!"

"Why?"

"Because of love. Finally, he found the courage to follow his heart. We need to support him" Oliver looked at Ava affectionately and said with a smile.

"We can support him if his love has any result."

"Why do you say that?" Oliver frowned.

"Rika likes Sam now, doesn't she?"

"Rika is confused about who she likes, lets' not think about it. Let them sort out their own business." Oliver hugged Ava tightly and softly kissed her on the forehead.

"You are right, only time can tell what will happen." Ava smiled and hid in Oliver's strong chest.

"Why did it take so long at the university today?" Oliver suddenly asked. She didn't have class today so he was curious where she was.

Ava hesitated for a while thinking, if it was ok to tell Oliver about Daniel then she decided not to hide it from him. Last time Jacob and Sam's matter already created enough misunderstanding between them. Besides, Daniel and her relationship was like brother and sister, so why should she hide it? In fact, she would be glad to introduce Oliver to Daniel. He was already very pitiful and lonely. In some way he was like Oliver, Daniel will definitely get along well with him.

"I met my senior Brother in the professor's office today. He was my senior at school as well, the son of my piano teacher. He told me that his mother had died, it's so shocking I still couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that she is not here anymore. She was so lively and strong, I don't understand how could she die just like that. Oliver, Do you think life is always this uncertain?" Ava asked sadly and her eyes turned slightly red.

Uncertain? Yes! Oliver never expected Melody to die yet she died, he never expected to meet Ava on that bar and then fall in love with her but he did, so yes, life was always uncertain and the events in life were unexpected. No one knew what can happen to them tomorrow.

Oliver's deep eyes flashed a touch of sadness as he said lightly, "Yes, life works that way. Like the season it will keep changing, you will lose something's and some important people and many new things and people will come into life. It like a cycle, to welcome the new you must let go of the old, sometimes knowingly and sometimes unknowingly and unwillingly." Although after all these years he was finally able to come out of the grief of Melodie's death but the scar would always be there in his heart.

Ava looked at Oliver's sad and lost eyes, puzzled. Why does he look like he has lost someone very important? Ava felt confused but at the same time she was curious so she asked casually, "Oliver, did you ever lose anyone important?"

Oliver stiffened for a second then with an indifferent expression on his face he said, "No," After the day at the secret base, Oliver decided not to tell Ava anything about his past and Melody so he denied it without any hesitation.

Ava relaxed in Oliver's arm hearing his answer, she must be overthinking about this. So she stopped thinking about it, she trusted Oliver. Ava raised her head and looked at Oliver's handsome face, she couldn't help but caress it. Oliver's face was sharp and clean, completely spotless. Ava couldn't remember if she ever saw his stubble, he shaved almost every day. Ava suddenly placed a soft kiss on his chin.

Oliver smiled softly and kissed back on her forehead. He always paid attention to his appearance and never let anyone touch him, especially his face but he liked Ava's touch very much. Her soft touch would make his heart warm for no reason.

"Oliver, I want to go hiking, it's already autumn, the perfect time to climb the mountain." Ava suddenly said.

"OK, we'll go next weekend." Oliver looked at Ava affectionately and said with a smile. "Now go to sleep, it's late, I'll tell you a story." Oliver pulled the quit and covered Ava gently.

"OK," Ava said with a smile.

"There was a boy who liked to play online games. One day he met a girl in the game. The girl was so innocent and sweet that he couldn't help but talk to her. He would always look for her in the game and..." Oliver dropped his eyes and in the darkroom, his deep voice echoed.

Ava didn't know how much of the story she heard, soon she felt her eyes were getting heavy and she fell asleep.
