'At least the Status is not bad. Now I don't see any reason why I should keep myself from becoming stronger! Now, I would train my days off to face the incoming dangers looming above me. I have 66 SP, I already have Jutsus, I lack skills.
I need one skill that matters a lot to me. Chakra Manipulation, with this skill I can finally delve into learning Shape Transformation and Nature Transformation with ease' Jae thought as he opened the Skill function in shop and saw Chakra Manipulation Skill for 20 Shop Points. Then he got up from the bed and exited his room. His feet quickly took him to the kitchen where he satisfied his hunger a little before going to the living room.
Jae didn't see the others in the living room and went outside the house to the Training Ground located at the backyard. He found all of them gathered there, sitting in a lotus position, surrounding Jackie who was also sitting in a lotus position. They seem to be meditating.
Jae decided to wait for them and after some minutes, they finally finished their meditation. Although Jae found it difficult to believe that Solomon was also meditating but he just kept quiet. They must have finished their missions and passed while he, .... well, maybe he failed.
They were soon in front of him, looking at him with worried gazes.
"Hey, you alright?" Mina came forward and held his hands. Although surprised, Jae didn't think much about it.
"Ah, I thought you were gonna die mehn, you looked like dead shit when you were brought in- Ah! why you hit me?" Solomon suddenly patted Jae's shoulders. Jae's eyes slightly twitched in surprise at the force of Solomon's palm on his shoulder.
'Their missions also made them stronger? I thought I would gain the upper hand as I have a system' Jae's thought process was broken by another voice.
"Would you stop talking nonsense Solomon? Is that the first thing to say to him?" Amanda slapped the back of Solomon's head and said.
"How ya feeling bro? Do you need to go to the medics?" Soji asked with a smile on his face.
Other questions and answers soon proceeded forth.
Jae just nodded at them and reassured them that he was alright. Mina was quite insistent on making him apply for medical checkup but he refused.
Only Mr Jackie stayed behind them, watching their interactions while looking at Jae with a thoughtful look.
"Um, guys, can you guys please excuse me for a sec? I would like to talk with Mr Jackie." Jae informed them after understanding the look Jackie was giving him.
The teens looked at Jackie who nods to them before they started leaving. Soon the both of them were alone.
"How did I survive?" Jae asked as he stared at Jackie. The other day, he felt really out of place, like he was seriously going to die.
"Mina happened to pass by your spot where you lay unconscious and rescued you." Jackie replied and when he saw that Jae was still looking at him he continued "She said you looked very pale, almost dead. your mind was unconscious yet your body was wriggling in pain. She also said there were signs of battle in the forest and many places were destroyed. After she brought you here, we were about to bring a medical expert for you but strangely, you were completely okay. You healed by yourself which means, we don't know how you survived"
Jae took a while to soak in what Jackie had said. 'Maybe the system did it' he thought. "I saw something. or being?... it was weird and powerful. Those guards, are they dead?" Jae got his answer when Jackie confirmed his question by nodding his head.
"Don't worry about the guards, Forest Kaz'Ta said she will deal with the matter. She was only concerned about your mission. Now that ya here, should we consider your mission complete or not?" Jackie's tone suddenly got deeper and serious as he stared at Jae who slightly flinched from his momentum.
"Mission? oh yes, the mission. Umm, here it is. Is the mission completed now?" Jae got confused before clarity fell on him. He quickly checked and brought out a black box from his system space. He then gave it to Jackie who then smiled, took the box from him and said ~
"Jeremy Styles, F-Rank Mercenary Of Netherensis. Mission Status: Completed! Congratulations. Your Mission Rewards would be delivered to you later. Youre dismissed." Jackie took his leave after saying that but was quickly stopped by Jae.
"Is that it? You're not gonna ask about that monster I met in the forest?" Jae didn't feel too thrilled about the mission's completion. The Jyka was still bugging his mind.
With a slight smile on his face, Jackie asked "What did you see Jeremy Styles?" Seeing the mysterious smile on Jackie's face, Jae replied "I saw a.... Jyka?"
