Ch~Twenty>Nine: The Hidden Quests and Rewards!

Jae was currently lying on his bed with a serious expression on his face. Its been a few minutes since he left Jackie after he told him about what happened in the forest. Instead of feeling relieved that he reported it to someone of a higher ranking than him which is also his Master and Teacher in the Hunter Academy, he was feeling surprised. He was surprised at the outcome of the conversation and was also surprised at the system.

[Flashback~]

"Oh, you saw a Jyka? Out of all monstrosities out there on the planet, you saw a freaking Jyka? And ya still alive?" Jackie chuckled in a playful tone.

"Seriously, I heard one of the guards calling it a Jyka and I also saw it. Its presence emitted pure power" Jae said, displeased that Jackie was still playing with him.

"Alright then, You saw a Jyka and you still came out alive, can you explain that?" Jackie stopped his playful antics and finally got down to talk.

"Well, I don't know how I came out alive but I remembered something before I lost consciousness. I remembered it saying words about my blood or Styles Lineage or something. Saying the plan would be able to commence. I couldn't understand any of it. The Jyka then took out a small grey orb and made me swallow it. I felt weird and pain before I fainted." Jae took a deep breathe after his explanation before he asked in a worried tone "Is something happening to me Master?"

Jackie was now serious at this point. His eyes were unsure as if he was thinking about something. He then said to Jae with a pained smile "So, you really are of the Styles Blood. That's troublesome. But don't worry about the little orb, its just something that attracts beasts and Jykas to you. You will get used to it later"

"Why do you sound like you know about it? I thought it was after the black box with me? Maybe it...."

"It was never after the black box or its content, it was after you. And why do I know about this, well, I got a question for you, do you wanna get stronger?" Jackie's smile was quite a bloom to see. His playful aura quickly replaced his previous serious and pained look.

Jae was surprised at the development of the conversation but before he could answer, he saw his system flashing him with a notification. His surprised expression quickly turned into a serious one. He quickly nodded and said yes with a serious expression to Jackie who just smiled and told him to go back to his room.

Jackie then turn around and left the backyard, leaving a confused Jae behind.

'Wow, I never wanted to believe it but I guess I have to, I mean I have the reason to believe it now. Jae truly is a Styles, just.... like me. I just need to figure out who his parents were.

When Jae came to me, he felt lost and wanted answers. To think a Jyka made him a target and also made him swallow that unpleasant little orb.

I now felt a responsibility rising up inside me, wanting to help him get stronger to overcome his foes. Helping him to suppress and kill.... that curse... in him. Just like how I overcame mine and killed it, I will also help him' Jackie thought with a strange smile on his face as he left the backyard.

Jae didn't know what Jackie was thinking, he would be very shocked when he realises Jackie's identity. He could only rush to his room before he called out the system.

[End Of Flashback~]

'Well, Jackie sure is a weird creature, can't deny that fact. I guess I would look at the notifications now' Jae thought as he lay on his bed. He opened the system and saw that it was the Quest Interface that was glowing. Clicking it, spams of messages came out.

'Daaaaaaamn!!!!!! Is this for real? my quest got activated and now, my rewards?' Jae abruptly sat up his bed in shock and happiness. Without wasting much time, he started checking out the rewards.

'Yes' Jae said in his mind after he calmed down.

He check his Status and saw his Shop Points- 1066 and his Chakra Points- 243/600. Jae leveled up and he felt himself getting stronger and lighter.

His stats increased and he gained 5 free stat points. He then proceeded to check his second rewards and accepted them.

[The Light Step Skill is an Unranked Movement Skill. The User suppress his body weight and then, move very fast. At high levels, the User can even slightly elevate from the ground and float in the air. Cost 10 CP per second]

[The Hard and Soft Strokes Jutsu is a C-Rank Offense-Defense Jutsu. It make use of the User's body parts to dish out hard attacks that could seriously injure the opponent and also make soft defensive moves to aborb or redirect the force of an attack. It can also be enhanced with Chakra to make it stronger. When enhancing with Chakra, it costs 80 CP per minute]

Jae accepted all the rewards after reading them without hesitation. It was very generous. He finally had a Taijutsu, a C-Rank Taijutsu! His body is now itching to train. He wanted to quickly seek Jackie for the training but he held himself back. Now, he had to check the last reward.

The system did not give him any explanation but Jae already had an idea of what it wanted to do. He accepted and the system suddenly left a message before it shut off.

Jae quickly got out of bed. In his mind, 'I have to test out my new abilities and train to get stronger right now' he quickly went downstairs and met with the others. The others were relieved to see him coz they still thought he was not feeling fine even though he had assured them of his wellbeing, especially Mina.

Jae saw only the girls around and when he asked of the boys, they said they were at the backyard with Mr. Jackie doing stuffs. Jae then spent some more time with them before he left for the backyard. This time, he not only wanna train but also see the progress of the two boys.
