I saw Mom and Dad sipping wine, laughing and obviously making fun of each other. Dad moved to kiss mom and I interrupted. Ewwww they don't know they are old. "Please don't, I don't want to see it, ewww ewww" I said and mom chuckled "This is how we gave birth to you" Mom said and dad Smirked. "Wanna know what happened next" Dad said and mom wiggled her eyebrows. I mentally facepalmed myself. Noooooooooooo "Please keep the gross information to yourselves, I don't want to know" I said and they laughed. "As if you don't do it" My mom teased. Not now mom "Well I'm young and you guys are old, that's the difference" I shrugged and pulled a sit beside mom. "There's no difference son" dad said "Trust me there is, a big one at that. I don't think anybody will enjoy seeing old people making out, I don't even want to imagine" I said and they burst into laughter. "You're so mean" Mom playfully hit my chest and I smiled. "Sorry" I said sarcastically and Mom rolled her eyes. "So dad, what's the emergency? I was having a good time" I asked, I need to know why he called me and ruined my fun. "Well" My dad cleared his throat "You see son, in life we have to make some kind of decisions even if we have to risk a lot of things" He paused, I definitely know where this is going. "I know you're not ready for marriage yet but we're just doing what's best for you" My dad added "You mean what's best for you" i raised my voice a little. "We're your parents sweetie, we'll never do anything to harm you, yes your dad wants to run for governor and all of that but the condition was good for you, we had to take it. Remember the conditions for signing the deal with the Simon's, we left it because we know it would ruin you even though it meant a lot to our company. But this is a good one" Mom added with pleading eyes "Mom, Dad please, spare me. You're doing what's best for yourselves, not me. Everything is for your benefit I don't care about the other deals.." I said "It's for the benefit of the family, all of us" Dad interrupted "How dad? How" I asked "Well.... Aside gaining going Power, wealth and all the rest, you get to leave your silly life, and be responsible. I'm tired of you messing around, you're not getting younger." My dad shouted "No matter how you make it seem dad, you're risking my happiness here can't you see?" "We're not risking your happiness, afterall it's Time for you to settle down, I need grandchildren. You're the only one I have. I'm not getting any younger" Mom whined "If you so much care about children, go and adopt" I suggested, besides thousands of children are waiting to be adopted "How can you tell me to go and adopt, when you're capable of giving birth. Tell me are you impotent?" Mom asked and I looked at her, she Shrugged "What do you mean impotent?" I asked "I didn't say you are impotent, I asked a simple question. Or are you?" Mom asked "God forbid!!" I shouted "I thought as much" Mom said while flipping her hair. "Son please. Okay just do this for me" Dad begged, I refused to look at him or Else I'll fall for his tricks. "I know you've met her already, she's beautiful isn't she?" my dad asked "I don't care dad, it's not all about beauty to sustain a marriage" I said and my parents looked at me. Of course I know the reason. Nelson Chuckwudi giving marriage advise. "Wait, the same Nelson that said he likes girls with big ass?" My mom asked and I almost chuckled. But I need to keep a serious face. This isn't the time for laughing. "I've changed mom" I lied. Even the devil knows big ass will be the death of me. "This you?" my mom showed me a picture of me grabbing a girls ass last night. What's her name again.. Definitely not wasting my energy to think about that useless piece of information. "Mom that's not me" I lied shamelessly "How about this?" she showed me a clearer picture and Dad chuckled. "That's not you too right?" Dad said and I rolled my eyes. They burst into laughter. "Nahhh it's not him" My mom sarcastically said and they laughed again. "Who told you I can't repent this morning" I said keeping an innocent face. "Definitely not you" My mom said "Whatever okay" I refused to accept defeat. "But seriously son you need to stop this lifestyle, you're about to get married. No woman will like her husband cheating on her" Mom said calmly. "It's you and dad that's getting married not me'' I reminded them "Just do it for us please" My dad pleaded. "I know it's not your will but please, just be patient you'll grow feelings for each other as time goes on" dad said, this isn't a movie or some romantic novel. "So you aren't threatening me again huh, I never knew you could be this calm dad" I rolled my eyes "I sat down and thought about it, why force you when we can discuss amicably" dad said "You're still forcing me dad, remember it's not my wish" I looked at him and he smiled "Please my boy" my dad said I thought for a while and discovered I have nothing to lose, and besides she's not that bad. We'll see how it goes, if it doesn't end well we will simply divorce. "So what if the marriage doesn't end well?" I asked while sipping from Mom's glass and she gave me a death glare "You're already having negative thoughts, be positive please. Nothing will go wrong" Mom said with a frown. "I'm just saying" I shrugged. "Nothing will go wrong, please don't make anything go wrong?" Dad said. "Why me?, What if she gives me trouble which is very obvious that she will. She lacks respect" I said and mom laughed "Look who's talking about respect. Do you respect others?" Mom said "I do Mom, always" "I didn't know that" Mom said "You guys will be okay" Dad said "You won't understand dad, you're not the one in my shoes" "I'm sorry you have to go through all of this because of me but just trust me on this" Dad pleaded "I've not seen anybody that I'll trust with my life, not even you dad. What if I die?" I said and they laughed "You wouldn't, be a man" my dad said and mom patted my back. "Just know it's not my wish" I said "We know" they both said "What will you eat dear" Mom asked "The pampering won't get you anywhere Mom" I said and she hit my chest, she's fond of doing that "So I can't ask my son if he has eaten" Mom said and pinched my cheeks "I know where all this is going"I said and she hit my chest again "Mom I spend hours in the gym everyday for this wonderful results" I said "Oh please" She hit my chest again and dad laughed "Your wife is stubborn" I told dad "I agree" Dad said and we laughed "You can say whatever you want" Mom folded her hands. I slightly hit her on her shoulder and she gave me a look that could kill. "Ooops" I said unapologetically "Ooops huh?" she said and started hitting my chest and tickling me "Mom stoooop" I pleaded but she isn't buying it, she continued and dad was busy laughing his ass out. I couldn't bear it again I stood up And mom burst Into laughter "Not cool mom" I whined and she stick her tongue out to me. Yes my mom can be pretty childish sometimes and she plays a lot. She has always been my best friend while growing up, she will always play with me and keep me company even if I clearly don't need it, she will always be there. Aside the fact that I'm mad at her at the moment she still owns my heart. "Dad you're not saying anything?" I said while pampering my shoulders "What do you want me to say? you know your mother" dad shrugged and mom glared at him "What's that supposed to mean" she asked "Please darling I don't want to get you angry, I'm sorry please" dad said avoiding trouble "Better" mom flipped her hair and we laughed "So you seriously don't want to eat" Mom asked and I sat down close to her again. "I was eating before dad called me. I thought someone was dying" I rolled my eyes "You know your father can be like that, he doesn't talk calmly" mom said and I laughed, I couldn't agree more. Wonder how she copes with him "Good one" Dad said and me and mom burst into another round of laughter. "By the way son" Mom said while touching my hair "Hope you haven't forgotten about your agreement with the Akim's concerning the weekend Meetup between you and Damilola?" my mom said. "I haven't forgotten mom" I said "And please be nice to her" Dad pleaded "Then tell her not to get on my nerves" I said with seriousness and I meant it "She wouldn't" Dad said. of course he'll be the one to talk "Okay then, cause I'm not going to take any nonsense" I warned. "You wouldn't" Dad assured "You don't know her dad" I said "We do, since she was little" mom said with a smile "This is such a big risk, toying with my future" I sighed "We'll never" mom assured "So mom what's in the kitchen, I'm hungry" I rubbed my tummy "Damilola" mom said and my eyes widened. Why would she be there. "Whatttttttttttt" I screamed and they started laughing. "Kidding" mom said and they continued laughing "got you" she added admist laughter. I rolled my eyes "You guys are too old for all of these" I said and face palmed myself "But say the truth Nel, you wish she was in the kitchen" dad said "And wished she was the food" mom added. "Ewwwww mom, no. She's not my type" I lied and they laughed "You suck at lying" mom said "Mom whatever okay" I said dropping the topic "what's in the kitchen mom" I was really hungry "The maid is making breakfast, should be done very soon" mom said and I sat down again "Alright" I replied dryly We started talking about childhood memories and business till the maid interrupted "Good morning Mr Nelson" she said "Yeah good morning, breakfast ready?"
