Chapter 3: New Mission.

Nero scanned through the screen that appeared. He was surprised the moment he saw that he was of the Hybrid race.

"But a Hybrid of what?" Nero asked himself this question, which remained unanswered. But remembering the presence of the wings on his back, he connected the dots and assumed that he was a Hybrid of some bird or possibly even an Angel...

No matter how much he thought about it, he had no answer. So, he decided not to think about it too much now because he had bigger problems to solve, such as... Where to find clothes?

He scoured around for something to cover. Unfortunately, he didn't see anything that could be better than a few large leaves of a bush. In the end, he had to use these leaves as in the time of Adam and Eve.

"Since that thing is similar to a game system, it wouldn't be fair to have a store too, would it?"

Although Nero thought so and did several tests trying to discover new functions, to Nero's misfortune, it didn't produce any results.

Nero spotted a big rock, went to it, and sat down on it while trying to analyze everything that was going on and hoped he wasn't becoming mentally unstable. He even thought he was in a coma and it was all just a figment of his imagination.

"Well, I'm on it anyway. If I'm sleeping, I can't wake up." Nero muttered to himself. Looking through the semi-transparent floating screens, he continued,

"It's too open! Can't you close them?"

At the moment he thought so, the open canvases began to disappear as if they had never been there in the first place.

"Interesting!"

He thought about it and started trying to open it again. It was in fact very practical; all he had to do was to think about opening and closing the canvases.

"Huh?!"

Suddenly, the moment Nero looked forward, he noticed a pink ball coming at him with big, black, and round eyes.

Nero acted swiftly by turning away while pondering, "Is it possible for me to kill it by throwing stones?"

He didn't know how tough this Slime monster was, but he thought it was worth trying to kill it by the method he came up with.

While gathering some sharp rocks from the ground and placing them in his lap, he began to wish he had a T-shirt even more since it would make things much easier at these times, but then...

"Shoot, can't I put them in the inventory?!" While walking away every time the Pink Slime got close, Nero wanted to put his theory into practice. While still standing away from Pink Slime, he tried to place one of the stones.

"It worked!" Observing that it worked, he quickly put the stones in the inventory.

"Damn! My aim's garbage." Nero screamed in frustration as he threw a few rocks in the direction of the Pink Slime.

Although only a few rocks hit the Pink Slime, one could see that it was taking damage and thus getting weaker.

"Whoa, he finally died!" Nero thought as he approached Pink Slime.

"Yeah."

Just like Mandrake's body, Pink Slime's body turned into a green mist and entered Nero's body.

• [Sticky Mucus - Rank F - Poor quality] has been added to your inventory.

• 20 [Essence Currency] has been added to your inventory.

"Sticky mucus?" Nero was disgusted from hearing the name.

When he opened the inventory, he realized that this sticky mucus was in a slot and it wasn't like he imagined it would be. Because it wasn't in a bottle or something, it was just a green and kind of disgusting goo. Not wanting to touch this thing, he went straight to the point, that was to get the monster core.

"Yes."

Nero was surprised to see that the energy had increased upon the absorption of the core, but his surprise didn't last long as he concluded that it was because it was a level 2 monster.

"Truly mystical," Nero said to himself, "I can feel my strength increase, along with the increase in my attributes."

Nero could feel a cold wind in his private parts since he still couldn't find a way to get an outfit. His luck was also down that although it was night, the surrounding was still clear due to the moonlight.

An ideal night to level up. Reach level 1

• Objective: Absorb monster cores: 0/8

• Reward: Pants and T-shirt made of simple leather.

• Reward: 20 Essence of Currency.

• Warning: You have until dawn to complete it. 0/5 hours.

"Oh? Another mission... Clothes!" Seeing the mission, Nero was elated. He did not like the feeling of roaming naked in a forest.

"But well, I think it's gonna be easy since those Slimes are too slow." Closing the mission page, Nero began to walk.

On the way, he put together a bunch of rocks and stored them in inventory. Although he was curious about "Mana" energy, he couldn't use it at the moment, so he decided to think about it later.

It didn't take him long to find a level one Pink Slime.

Without wasting any time, Nero came over and looted the Pink Slime.

Upon holding the core in the inventory, a new canvas opened.

"Yes."

Nero sighed and continued to walk in search of new monsters.

Nero looked at the message that came through.

"It's getting easier to kill them."

Nero advanced at a faster pace, collecting whenever he saw a good stone to throw it. Because of this, he got used to throwing rocks at these Pink Slimes and killing them with ease.

"One more to go." Nero murmured as he walked. Although he was beginning to feel hungry, he was still able to hold his own since his strength had increased because of the increase in attributes.
