Chapter 4: Choosing a Class
"Judging by the progress of the mission, I guess I'll finish it faster than the mission's planned time." Nero thought as he walked through the forest in search of more monsters...
One could notice a tinge of anxiety in Nero's pretty face. He couldn't wait to be able to keep his level down, but he couldn't win a suit.

Plant Monster: [Green Slime] Rank F: Level 3

Sighting another slime, Nero got close enough and started throwing rocks on it.
After more than three hours of hunting by juggling rocks, Nero's aim had improved markedly. Although he missed a few stones, he still managed to succeed 50% of the time.
But the agility and defense of this Green Slime were on another level. "Urgh!" Nero groaned in pain upon being attacked by green liquid on his arm. A small patch of his skin had also eroded because of the attack.
Moving away by making large backward strides, Nero continued to attack rapidly, utilizing considerable strength and precision on the rocks he was throwing. Luckily, the arm that took damage wasn't his dominant left arm with which he was throwing the stones.
Increasing his concentration level, Nero, while feeling pain in his right arm, continued to throw sharp stones toward the Green Slime.

"Whoa!" Nero sighed heavily as he plopped down on the floor, "This time it was more difficult. But it isn't surprising since the slime was at level 3."
After resting for some time, Nero approached the slime.

"Yes."
The Green Slime vaporized into a green mist when it came into contact with Nero's hand. Then, the mist was absorbed into his body.

Opening the inventory, Nero took the monster core.

Immediately after the attribute enhancement screen, a new screen opened.

"That's it! Now I can put on some clothes." Nero said in his mind, but even before he could open the inventory one more time, another screen appeared.

Nero was baffled for a few seconds after watching the canvas. Closing his eyes with a sigh, he muttered, "Have I really gone crazy? How is such a thing possible?"
Nero took deep breaths a few times to get calmer. Although Nero was surprised by this, he did his best to try to analyze his current situation.
"Now I need to choose a class..." Nero thought, "A rookie warrior would increase my defense. I will also be able to use weapons like swords, spears, etc., isn't it? Beginner Archer possibly improves my vision and my accuracy."
Nero was able to judge the effects of each class. Even if it may not be the actual results, he believed his predictions weren't very far from the truth. However, the other two classes with question marks beside them - it was a mystery to him.
"Irregular and Hybrid? What kind of Irregular or Hybrid would it be? Why doesn't it have more information besides that?" Nero wondered in frustration.
Despite something inside inciting him to choose Beginner Archer class since it was safer, he still had to admit that those two unknown options left him intrigued. He also considered choosing Beginner Wizard class, since using magic was a dream he'd been fantasizing for a long time.
"With respect to the Hybrid class... Is it because my present self is a hybrid? But exactly what kind of powers would it provide? How would that affect me?"
Unfortunately for Nero, no matter how much he asked himself, he could not find an answer. He did not even have an inkling of information about this unknown world.
Even the supposed system that gave him missions didn't have the answers. He tried to click on the class icon, but it was not possible to see more information for Irregular and Hybrid classes.
With the screen still open, Nero, who was feeling uncomfortable just using a few leaves to cover his body, opened the inventory and took the T-shirt and leather pants.
"Urgh! These are very tight pants!" Nero complained while wearing it.
After wearing the shiny black leather pants, Nero started wearing the black leather T-shirt.
Even with wings, Nero managed to put it on, as this shirt was apparently modified to be worn with wings.
Nero cracked his tongue, "Tsk! This shirt is also very tight. Damn, look at these curves! Aren't I gorgeous? Oh no, why am I getting excited about myself?"
Nero shook his head, not wanting to continue his line of thought. He directed his eyes once again to the screen that appeared to choose a class.

After thinking for a long time, Nero decided, "I'll take my chances... I'll choose Hybrid!"

"Ohh!" Nero was even more surprised by the screen that appeared next.

Besides being surprised by that Nero frowned; he was able to feel all the changes that were happening around him. After rising to level one, yours became more accurate. Wanting to see how his current status was, a new window appeared before him.

"Hrm, my attributes have had a big raise since I started hunting." Nero murmured, "Also, how do I unlock these subclasses?" To satisfy his curiosity, Nero clicked on the Light Archer subclass.
