Chapter 34: Swordsman of the mist

Naruto was shocked at the man's words, he quickly sensed in the direction of the bandit camp and found out that all of the signatures had disappeared in all but a second.

As if the Gamer System thought it was funny it gave Naruto the notification that he completed his mission, but Naruto ignored it completely.

He was currently standing in front of the strongest swordsman of the mist, Hoshigaki Kisame, it was rumored that he had abandoned his village once the civil war started but it seemed that that was just a rumor.

"Hoshigaki Kisame, a swordsman of the mist, what are you doing in the country of fire?" Guy asked as if he wasn't scared of Kisame at all.

Kisame grinned, "I am simply trying to have some fun is all, the civil war has gotten kind of boring, I wouldn't even be here if the boss didn't order me to be here, but not like that matters to you since you'll be dead in a few minutes, Shinobi of Konoha!"

Chakra gathered around Kisame's mouth and Naruto shouted at his teammates to dodge.

"He's preparing a jutsu, avoid it!" Naruto manage to shout out just in time as Kisame finished his hand signs and fired out a large wave of water.

With the use of a Shushin, the three of them dodged while Guy simply jumped back.

"Oh? it seems like you four aren't that incompetent." Kisame grinned as he pulled out the giant sword that was wrapped in bandages.

"Not like it matters," Kisame muttered.

Before Naruto even noticed Kisame was standing in front of him with his giant sword swinging toward Naruto.

"You always need to take care of the problematic ones first," Kisame stated as if Naruto was simply a nuisance.

In a split second Guy acted, he released 4 gates, and kicked Kisame away.

Sadly he was not fast enough, the blade moved as if it was alive, and instead of simply cutting it shaved through Naruto's arm.

Of course, Naruto didn't simply let this happen, the second the blade touched his arm he activated his inventory, with that he managed to do three things.

One, save his arm from being completely torn off.

Two, steal one of the seven legendary blades of the hidden mist.

Three, anger Hoshigaki Kisame, a person who he would never be able to beat at his current strength.

Although they did stand more of a chance to survive now, while a member of the seven swordsmen of the mist was incredibly dangerous with his sword, they were still dangerous without it although severely weakened, especially Kisame who relied heavily on Samehada to increase his chakra levels and for specific jutsu.

But Guy wasn't weak either, in fact, Guy was one of the strongest people that Naruto knew so he did not doubt him for a second and began running away with Sasuke and Shino.

As they ran they heard sounds of explosions and waves of water hitting the ground, they saw giant dust clouds rise over the forest they were in and some waves of water even reached them who were now over a kilometer away.

Meanwhile, with Kisame and Guy, they were fighting an extremely destructive battle, the surroundings had seemingly transformed from a forest into a small lake.

"Water Style! Thousand Hungry Sharks!" Kisame shouted.

A giant wave of water gathered which was then filled with a bunch of sharks that were pointed at Guy who had released the 5th gate, the Gate of Limit, this gate would allow Guy to punch back all the waves that Kisame sent his way but it would slowly deteriorate his health.

Seeing that his attack would most likely not affect Guy Kisame prepared one of his strongest jutsu.

"Water Release: Exploding Water Colliding Wave" Kisame shouted.

Before even being able to take care of the first attack Guy was bombarded by another one, each bigger than the other, Kisame's chakra was extremely large which allowed him to throw around extremely strong and large jutsu, this was one of the reasons why it wasn't wise to anger Kisame Hoshigaki.

"You bastards! That little brat took my Samehada!" Kisame shouted at Guy seemingly frustrated at being unable to deal much damage to Guy.

"HAHAHA, that was indeed surprising of my youthful student! Even I didn't know that he could do that, I should thank him, he made my job a lot easier." Guy taunted Kisame.

Kisame growled and started attacking again, he wanted his sword back, and nothing would stop him from getting what he wanted.

"It's time for me to end this battle Hoshigaki Kisame!" Guy shouted

"SIXTH GATE: GATE OF VIEW, OPEN!"

"SEVENTH GATE: GATE OF WONDER, OPEN"

With a mighty shout Chakra exploded around Guy, his body started glowing, and pure waves of power started coming off of his body.

Guy got into a stance that caused the warning signs in Kisame's head to go haywire, he had never been this afraid of an attack, not even against his so-called boss.

"DAYTIME" Guy pulled his fist back

And punched "TIGER"

A giant explosion occurred, contrary to its looks daytime tiger was a pure taijutsu move that didn't use any chakra whatsoever.

The destruction it caused was immense.

The lake that had been formed was completely blown away, together with the forest that surrounded them, the shockwaves that a single punch produced were incredible, trees, boulders, anything that was in its path were blown away, the giant white tiger that appeared because of the punch impacted Kisame throwing him tens if not hundreds of meters away, and created a giant crater.

The shockwaves produced by the attack were felt even by Naruto, Sasuke, and Shino who were now around 5 kilometers away.

Unfortunately, the damage done to Guy wasn't little, he wouldn't be able to continue fighting for much longer so he decided to run back in the direction of Konoha to meet up with the rest of his team.
