Naruto: Reincarnated Zeus

Over the years of ruling over other gods, Zeus had grown bored. Nothing brought him any joy. Love, death, music - nothing. That's why Zeus decided to do something unheard of - to strip away all his divinity and reincarnate as a mortal. - Hello! This is my first fanfiction, so any reviews or power stones are deeply appreciated. Everything happens in Naruto. There is not a lot of emphasis on romance, so don't expect it here. There is no system as well! P@treon: https://www.patreon.com/Zerga3 Discord: https://discord.gg/djq6WyTrUW Note: Zeus reincarnates as a baby, so we are going to explore everything from that age.

Genjutsu My Ass

After a year, the Land of Fire had finally achieved peace, as the violence between nations ceased. Yet, former grudges and pain were left hidden deep within the souls of everyone, and they could only pretend that they wouldn't want to ravage the other side. A few nations were, of course, still trying to ignite the never-ending conflict.

Hiruzen Sarutobi was the one who concluded the war by signing a peace treaty with Iwagakure, despite the huge losses Konoha had suffered. This caused a lot of protests and dissatisfaction from the village, and Hiruzen had to step down as a Hokage, prompted even further by incensed Danzo.

Minato Namikaze had become the new Hokage, one of the youngest ones to achieve that. His accomplishment had made the majority of people forget Hiruzen's cowardly move, and tranquility had momentarily befallen the village. However, it was not for long, for the Uchiha clan became a lot more aggressive lately, dissatisfied that their leader Fugaku hadn't been properly recognized after the war.

In fact, even Zeus could feel the tension in the air, as he overlooked the village from a rooftop. However, it didn't really bother him that much. He stretched his hands out, then glanced upwards at the cliff where Minato's head was currently being built. The nightshade made it look somewhat twisted and faulty.

"Alright, last time it was one minute and twenty-nine seconds." Zeus put his hands on the ground, pulling his leg back. Suddenly, Zeus's pupils enlarged, as lightning threads started exploding from within his body. "Overlock, 10%."

Then, Zeus exploded from the place, jumping from the roof like a suicidal man. While in the sky, Zeus moved his body ninety degrees and his legs touched the vertical wall, as he bounced forward. Continuing to perform similar stunts, Zeus moved like a panther, silent yet deadly.

A few civilians walking beneath shouted in surprise, seeing a little ball of white passing above. It wasn't really hard to make a connection as to who that was, for people with white hair in this village could be counted on one hand. Zeus had been caught a few times sneaking away already, by both Hiruzen and Bikawo, so he no longer cared about exposing himself.

Besides, Zeus felt comfortable with his own strength. Hiding his talent didn't seem so useful anymore. In fact, it could actually hinder his growth, because he would have to find secluded places to train. However, truth to tell, Zeus simply didn't care anymore. He just wanted to run wild and forget about all the unnecessary worries.

Zeus's train of thought was interrupted when he finally reached the beginning of the cliff. Leaping with a smile, Zeus stuck to the dusty mountain, lightning threads colliding with it and creating black spots.

"Overlock, 15%," Zeus mumbled as he exploded up the mountain at an even greater speed. He run so fast up that it was difficult to discern what was happening, and he became nothing but a blur in the eyes of the onlookers.

Overlock was a technique that he had created himself. By utilizing his innate ability to control lightning, Zeus transformed his inner chakra into lightning, forcing it to spread throughout his entire body. That lightning stimulated his organs and blood to pump faster, thus enabling him to attain higher physical capabilities.

However, it had some side effects, as he would always feel much more tired after using it and it required constant chakra to be activated. For now, the most he could use was 20%, without feeling too much strain on his heart.

"Minute and twenty seconds." Zeus jumped from beneath the cliff, landing gracefully on the stone head of his retired old man. He raised his hand upwards in the triumph of his own achievement, as it was truly great progress from the last time.

However, with nothing but silence to support him, Zeus's happiness didn't last long. With a sigh, Zeus stumbled back onto his back, gently laying on the cold stone. He stared at the sky for some time. "It has already been six years since I got reincarnated. I wonder, how are my fellow gods doing?"

Zeus continued to watch the sky before rising back up. He activated the overlock at 5% and rushed forward, toward the forest. Over the last year, he had created somewhat of a secret base there, where he practiced and experiment with his power.

"They are probably doing alright," Zeus said to himself, hopping onto a tree and continuing to travel along them. He enjoyed the breeze before suddenly stopping. The smell of blood penetrated his system, causing him to feel a rush of adrenaline.

Zeus didn't hesitate in the slightest and changed his direction, instead going south. Along the way, Zeus noticed a trail of blood leading somewhere. He jumped down from the tree and deactivated the overlock, choosing to stay silent and observe for now.

Eventually, the path of blood became larger and larger, almost portraying a river. It connected to a huge red pond. It didn't take Zeus long to understand that the source of it was coming from above. The drops of blood splashing against the ground reverberated throughout the forest.

Zeus frowned when he raised his eyes. Hiruzen and Bikawo were looming over him, their bodies tortured and missing a few limbs. They hung on the tree with ropes tied around their necks. For a few moments, Zeus stood in bewilderment. Then, a huge smile formed on his face.

"This is funny." Zeus put his palm against his forehead, pushing some chakra toward his hand. Then, he struck his own brain with lightning, causing an immense amount of pain. Yet, as he did so, the sight before him twisted and broke, as he was forced out of the genjutsu.

Zeus saw three figures standing before him, their features and faces hidden beneath a dark robe. Judging by their body language, they were clearly surprised to learn that Zeus had escaped the genjutsu. Excitement rushed through Zeus's veins.

"That was quite an interesting experience. I have read about genjutsu some time ago, maybe I should create a similar technique of my own." Zeus talked, unbothered by the three strangers standing before him. "So, which village dares to attack us during the time of peace? You know, everyone here had been on the verge lately, it's probably not the best time do to some shady business."

"Attack. Don't let him get away." The figure at the front said loudly.

"Hey, bastard. I am not finished." Zeus answered coldly, momentarily forcing the three of them to stop in their tracks. He gazed over them as if they were insignificant creatures. However, Zeus then put his hand on his chin and glanced at the ground, easing the tension. "Actually, I was finished. Don't know why I said it."
