"Now that the recreational games are over, let's get to what everyone has been waiting for – the last stage and tournament of the UA sports festival!" With Present Mic's shout, the people in the seats erupted in joy, eager for the start of the long-anticipated tournament. "Now, in one of the corners, we have a girl with the best academic average at UA, along with quirks that make her relentless – Yaoyorozu Momo!" With the professional hero's introduction, the girl emerged from the tunnel and made her way to the fighting arena.
"Everything is fine..." thought the teenager, trying to maintain a serious and calm composure outwardly. But inside, she couldn't help but have doubts and fear. The deafening screams of the spectators only heightened the pressure. Everyone had high expectations of her. Upon reaching the ring, she took her place on one side, awaiting her opponent.
"The next contestant is someone of ill repute, but it doesn't seem to bother him. He is serious, powerful, cold, and dark as the night – Uzumaki Naruto!" The shouts of joy from the spectators abruptly stopped, replaced by a tense silence as the shinobi calmly walked toward the battlefield. "Um, this is awkward," Present Mic said with an awkward smile, scratching the back of his neck uncomfortably. The people in the stands looked on with doubt, disconcerted by the shinobi who had already positioned himself at the other end of the ring.
"..." Discreetly, Naruto noticed that both examiners, Midnight and Cementoss, were tense and vigilant. Surveying the arena for the upcoming fight, he saw that it was a simple 50 square meter plain of pure concrete with corners that emitted fire for some strange reason.
"Listen up!" Midnight cracked her whip to seize everyone's attention. "The rules are simple. If one of the two exits the ring, they automatically lose. If one of the participants concedes, the other wins. If one of them is knocked out, they lose. Finally, if the attacks are deemed too lethal or excessive, the fight will be stopped automatically, and the one who violates this rule will be disqualified. Understand?!" She shouted the last part, addressing both teenagers.
"Hai!" Momo shouted, taking a defensive stance and keeping her eyes on her opponent.
Naruto nodded his head and stood there with his arms crossed, waiting patiently for the fight to commence. When he saw that both contestants were ready, Nemuri raised her right hand and then brought it down swiftly.
"Begin!" With that decisive shout, the battle kicked off.
"I need to maintain my distance and come up with a plan," Momo thought to herself. She adjusted her footing slightly and observed that the blonde opposite her still had his arms crossed. Drops of sweat formed on her forehead as her hands trembled uncontrollably. Naruto noticed this and slowly uncrossed his arms.
"Are you afraid?" He asked in his typical dry tone, trying to smile confidently.
"Not at all," Momo replied defiantly. She had a plan in mind, but to her disbelief, she opened her eyes to find Naruto right in front of her. Reacting swiftly, she created a steel shield on her right arm and blocked his incoming strike with a loud impact. "Ahg!" She growled in pain as the force of the blow sent her flying backward. She landed on her back and skidded painfully. Wincing, she scrambled to her feet as quickly as she could but had to release her damaged shield, clutching her right arm in agony. It hurt badly from that blow. "How...?" She muttered, fear coursing through her as she examined the large dent in her once-protective shield. She had underestimated the shinobi, never expecting him to use such force against her. "He could have broken my arm," she thought fearfully as she stood up, only to see a silhouette advancing toward her.
Before she could react, a devastating blow struck her in the center of her stomach, knocking the wind out of her. She even felt bile rise in her throat. Falling to her knees, she could only clutch her stomach in pain and attempt to regain her composure. She raised her head as best she could and saw Naruto's cold eyes nearby. "You should be afraid..." Raising his right fist, Naruto delivered a blow to Momo's right cheek, causing her head to smack against the hard concrete.
A deathly silence fell over the stadium. No one could believe what they had just witnessed. The teenage Yaoyorozu lay motionless on the ground after such a brutal blow. As for the shinobi, he simply began walking out of the ring.
"You..." Midnight seethed as she watched Naruto exit the arena. Suppressing her anger, she knew that the blonde hadn't violated any rules; he had won fairly. Her thoughts were shared by the spectators, who started to boo and curse Naruto.
"You're a coward!"
"She's just a girl, you idiot!"
"Don't mess with someone like a beast!"
"You should be ashamed, you son of a...!" The last comment came from a tall, blond guy with a slim but muscular build. In a fit of anger, he grabbed the can in his hand and hurled it toward Naruto.
Raising his right hand, Naruto swiftly caught the can and clenched it, causing it to burst. With a grim expression, he compressed the remnants of the can into a poorly formed sphere and hurled it at the individual who had thrown it. The object struck him on the forehead, causing him to tumble to the ground. Now, a barrage of objects and debris rained down on the blonde, but he remained standing resolutely in the center of the ring.
"Momo-chan..." Among the UA participants and students, Mina stood with a worried expression, covering her mouth to stifle a scream as she witnessed her friend lying motionless on the floor. She wasn't the only one; many others were in anguish, watching their class president brutally beaten.
"That was unnecessary, Uzumaki!" Kirishima, rising from his seat, shouted and glared at the one-eyed blonde in the middle of the ring. Several more students from Class 1-A shared his fury toward their classmate.
"…" Todoroki, on the other hand, narrowed his eyes and observed the situation with his typical calm demeanor. He crossed his arms and maintained his composure, silently acknowledging the monstrous speed displayed by Naruto.
"..." Bakugo, with a serious expression, observed everything without much reaction. It was unclear whether he was unfazed by what had just occurred or simply didn't care much about the condition of their class president. Nearby, Midoriya sat in his seat, watching the scene with uncertainty. He rubbed his hands nervously, feeling uncomfortable as he continued to observe like the others.
"Naruto..." Ibara had to avert her gaze, unable to witness her friend lying on the ground. She knew Naruto was someone who could be extreme and violent, but even this was too much for her to bear.
