Start Of The Chunin Exams
It's been a week since the fight with Fugaku, Eiko has spent the past week preparing for the Chunin Exams. The Chunin exams are today so Eiko was heading to the first exam location.
When he got there and went inside, he could feel how tense the atmosphere was. There wasn't any other village that showed up. Eiko did some people he recognized Rin, Obito, Guy, Ebisu, Genma Shiranui, Tokara, Hayate Gekko, and Ibiki Morino were there. He also saw that besides Rin and Obito, he was the only one not in a team of 3.
This caused some turmoil among the other ninja, they were saying stuff like "Another Kakashi wannabe," and "Who does this kid think he is?".
Eiko ignored them and started talking to his old classmates. Around 15 minutes later a middle-aged ninja with golden hair came in the door.
"Hello examines! I am a Konoha Jonin named Satoshi Yamanaka and I will be your first exam proctor."
Satoshi went on to explain the first exam rules and how there was no cheating of any kind allowed. After he was done with the explanation, they had every Genin go to their assigned seat. Eiko was assigned to the front middle seats, when he sat down and looked at the exam he was astonished.
'How Naruto? Just how did you struggle with this' Eiko though not mad just disappointed.
It took Eiko around 10 minutes to finish the first 8 questions. For the 9th question, he did have a little bit of trouble with it. But he just used his gravity perception to figure out the answer. He waited another 35 minutes to be able to answer the last question.
"For the final question, if you get it incorrect you can never take the Chunin exam again. You now have 10 seconds to decide either to try to answer it or forfeit now resulting in your team being disqualified, but can try the exam again," Satoshi stated.
Satoshi proceeded to stare at random kids with a cold glare. This only made them even more nervous.
"I forfeit."
"I do too."
"I would like to try again next time."
One by one the Genin forfeited until there were only 21 teams left including Eiko. When the last Genin forfeited and was escorted out of the room, Satoshi waited a second then spoke loudly saying "Congratulations you passed the first exam!".
"Huh! What do you mean?" A Genin spoke.
"The last question was to test your will, those who caved in were not fit to be Chunin. You that stayed did so you pass to the next exam. Follow the ninja behind me, he will lead you all there."
Nearly all of the Genin were surprised at this. Eiko of course was not surprised at this knowing the anime. They all followed the ninja to the next exam area. It was still the Forest of Death from the anime. Eiko saw another unfamiliar person as the proctor.
'All the big important people are probably getting ready for or already at the battlefield." Eiko thought.
"Welcome to the 2nd exam! I'm Yuji Tamura a Konoha Chunin. In this exam, the purpose is to get to the center of the forest with a heaven scroll or an earth scroll, you will only be given one. The other you must obtain from another team, how you do it I don't care. You have 3 days to do so, but before we begin you will have to sign a liability waiver as you can very easily die in this forest." The proctor named Yuji told the Genin.
'So it's the exact same except for less time. This is interesting,' Eiko thought while signing the waiver.
"Each team will enter the forest from a different entrance, now follow a ninja to your spot," Yuji added when everyone had signed the waiver.
When Eiko got to his spot, he was told to go in now. Eiko was super pumped up right now as he had a chance to show all of the hard work that accumulated over the past 2 years. He was ready to show everything.
