Chapter 36 - Leaving Fire Country 02!

Sora went to Naruto's room, wanting to know why Naruto was absent from breakfast. She even closed her brother's door and knocked on it, "Naruto, wake up. It's time to eat!" she exclaimed, but silence was her only response. "Naruto!" she shouted, but still no answer.

"What is he doing?" she murmured as she turned the doorknob and entered the room. But the first thing she saw was the empty bed, and the window open. "Naruto?" she asked, looking for him, entering the room and checking every corner, but there was no sign of her brother.

She quickly went to the window, wondering if he had opened it and left through there. She was met with the common sight of a morning at the Namikaze estate, her gaze wandering through the trees until she spotted a body lying on the ground, immediately becoming stunned, knowing that this was the Anbu who had been guarding their house that night.

"No!" was the only thing she said as she quickly stepped back, thinking that Naruto had been attacked by someone. She glanced at the corner and saw a letter on top of the headboard.

Still in her current state, she took heavy steps toward the letter, picking it up with trembling hands, already fearing the worst. She opened the letter and saw that it was Naruto's handwriting, a message for them, a message from her brother that she would never forget after this day.

She read and reread it, unable to believe what was happening there, wondering if Naruto had written this on his own or if someone had forced him to write it.

"Sora!" she heard her mother shouting in the distance. "Why are you taking so long? Come here with your brother," Kushina complained from downstairs. Sora, just a lifeless doll, exited the room with the letter in her hand, and her face began to fill with streaks of tears.

She descended to the kitchen, as her mother was preparing another coffee in the middle of the table, stopping when she saw her daughter approaching and crying. "Sora, why are you like this?" She asked worriedly, causing all the family members, her sister, and her father to also look surprised and concerned at Sora.

"It's Naruto, mom," she spoke in a tearful tone, hardly believing her own words. "He's gone," she simply said.

"What do you mean, he's gone?" Kushina walked around the table, approached her daughter, then placed her hand on her shoulder. "What do you mean by that? Wasn't he in his room?" she asked with a tone of urgency.

"No, mom. He's not in the room," she said, showing the letter. "The Anbu who was supposed to be watching the house is passed out on the ground outside." When she said this, Minato quickly stood up and disappeared, reappearing in front of the man lying on the ground, leaned against a tree, and touching his neck. "Fortunately, he's only passed out, but he was hit with a blow…" He questioned with a frown, wondering who could have done this.

He returned to his family, while Kushina, looked at him crying. "Minato…" Kushina was scared, with the letter in her trembling hands and a hand over her mouth with some tears. "Look for yourself, Minato. Tell me this isn't true," Kushina pleaded with her husband, while handing the letter to Minato.

He took the letter and began to read, it was a bit wet from the tears of Sora and Kushina.

'I know it's hard to explain. I've spent a lot of time thinking about this. I knew I was born different from everything in this world and always wondered what my purpose here was. In the last few weeks, I've decided what I've been planning for many years. I'm leaving Konoha, not because I don't love you, after all, I really do love you, you are my family, but my path is different from staying in this village.

I'm going to travel the world to discover more about it. I've spent a lot of time watching tragedies happen, and I've found that I can make a difference here. And so, I'm leaving and will be away for a few years. I know what I'm doing here is selfish, but this is the path I've decided to follow and I'm going to embark on it as soon as possible, starting now. Dad, mom, Sora, Mizu, I'm sorry for this. I hope to see you all again one day and I'm looking forward to it. Love you all. Naruto.'

Minato froze as Sora cried, Kushina looking at him scared. Minato didn't know what to say about that letter. It was indeed Naruto's handwriting, but what did those words mean? How had he managed to leave the room? Who had taken down the Anbu? Was he planning to travel the world at the age of 10? Had someone kidnapped him? There were so many questions in his mind with no possible explanation for any of them.

'Was it Naruto who took down the Anbu?!' That thought surfaced in his mind, but that seemed impossible, Minato quickly dismissed it.

His mind spun through all the options, 'Could another ninja have appeared here and kidnapped my son, forcing him to write this letter?' he thought, trying to explain the situation.

"Minato, this can't be true, can it?" Kushina demanded by his side, snapping him out of his deep thoughts.

"I don't know, Kushina, but I will gather all the ninjas we can and we will look for our son. We will find him," he murmured.

"Someone kidnapped Naruto?" Mizu commented from the table, gripping her chair with a scared face.

"I don't know, daughter," Minato looked at her, trying to remain calm. "But we will find your brother," he said as he vanished.

Kushina knelt down, hugged Sora, and took Mizu in her arms, crying as they waited for her husband to succeed in finding their son.

Minato quickly summoned all the Jonins to the office, finding Naruto would not be an easy task, after all, he did not possess Chakra and often even escaped from his Anbu. All the Anbus were gathered at this moment. "I want you to search every corner of this village, let nothing go unchecked, bring me the Anbu who is passed out at my house, Naruto had some friends, I want you to look for a girl named Akame Uchiha who is at the Uchiha compound." He spoke and continued. "Bring me the barrier monitoring team that worked tonight's shift." He demanded, and the ninjas disappeared from his sight.

"Your son disappeared and an Anbu was passed out..." Jiraiya commented by his side, he came as soon as his disciple needed him in this emergency.

"Who did this... why Naruto?!" Minato murmured with a tone almost bursting with chakra.

"Calm down, we must see what really happened, the letter Naruto wrote is intriguing..." Jiraiya advised.

The Anbu who was awakened quickly appeared in the office. "Tell me everything that happened." Minato demanded.

"Lord Hokage... it's hard to say, it's very confusing..." He admitted, "it was almost midnight, everything was normal, but suddenly, your son's window opened and a strong light emerged from it. After that, I passed out," he spoke with a frustrated tone.

"A light emerged," Jiraiya commented by the side, while scratching his chin and Minato's frown deepened.

"What do you think this is, Jiraiya-Sensei? Did someone kidnap Naruto? And why would anyone do that? Could it be Danzou?"

"Highly unlikely," Jiraiya admitted, and continued, "Danzou would have no reason to capture Naruto instead of his sisters. And, moreover, it seems that a light appeared out of nowhere..." He murmured, now frowning, refusing to believe any possibility in his mind, yet he asked, "Minato," he spoke, with a serious tone, "where was Naruto on the night of the massacre?"

"Naruto?" Minato asked, a bit confused. "He was at home. Kushina found him in his room. as soon as there were explosions, according to what she told me." He said.

"I see," Jiraiya spoke, cutting off the possibility of Naruto being the ninja who should be impossible, but certainly, there was another possibility. "I believe it was that ninja who uses light... all living witnesses say he moves at the speed of light and has never been found." He said.

"He?!" Minato exclaimed in anger, wondering why he acted now after all these years and his son was the target? Why this?! He created even more questions in his mind.

"Hokage-Sama...!" A new Anbu appeared on the spot.

"Did you go to the Uchiha compound?" He asked, hoping the girl might have some clue about Naruto.

"Yes..." He seemed hesitant.

"What's the problem?" Jiraiya asked with a raised eyebrow.

"The Uchiha girl... She's nowhere to be found, the Uchihas confirmed that she had been seen yesterday, but she also disappeared," he said, leaving everyone in the room even more surprised by this mystery.

A knock on the door broke the room's stunned silence, and two ninjas who had been monitoring the barrier when Naruto left, entered. "Tell me everything you saw," Minato demanded, setting aside the disappearance of the Uchiha for the moment.

"There was a disturbance in the barrier at midnight..." he spoke, and Minato waited for more. "A small chakra left the barrier, but the strange thing was that it was more than 400 meters above the ground, nobody knows what happened, the only thing we discovered when we went to investigate was that a flash appeared in the sky, coloring the horizon," he said.

"A flash with a yellow color?" Jiraiya asked.

"Yes, that's what the guards described to us at the site..." he spoke.

"What is happening..." Minato was even more lost, "You may go..." He said as the room emptied again.

Suddenly, a new Anbu appeared, one with white hair and a dog mask. "Kakashi," Minato asked, hoping he had some news about his son after everything he had heard.

"We found nothing about him, unfortunately," Kakashi said. But he continued, "but someone who can help after an incident that happened yesterday," he said.

"Who?" Minato asked.

"Let him in," Kakashi said, and the door opened, revealing Guy entering the room.

"Guy," Minato frowned, as they were in an operation searching for his son and the disappearance of a Uchiha, there was no time for anything else, and Guy's presence didn't seem to bring any answers.

"I know it's confusing, Hokage-sama," Guy Sensei began, "but there was an incident yesterday," he said.

"What kind of incident?" Minato asked, exchanging a look with his sensei.

"One of my students was severely injured," Guy spoke calmly.

"What do you mean, severely injured?" Minato wasn't sure what he was getting at.

"He dislocated his shoulder, broke his nose, his jaw is fractured, there are 3 broken ribs, his stomach was deformed, and his arm is broken. He is now in a coma, and a Hyuuga clan demands an explanation," Guy spoke.

"Sorry, Guy, but there's a more urgent situation happening here. I will look into this later, I promise," Minato spoke.

"I'm sure you'll want to know who did this to my student," Guy spoke in a serious tone, making Minato raise an eyebrow.

"Who did this to your student?" Jiraiya interjected for Minato.

Guy sighed. "I always saw strange behavior in the boy, and saw his strength surpassing Lee's when he was just 6 years old, I found it odd and let it go, but I never imagined he had this kind of hidden strength," Guy began, looking at the Hokage. "It was your son, Naruto, who left my student in that state," he said, the words casting a somber atmosphere over the office.
