CHAPTER 20

I waited for my opponent to make his next move and hopefully this time I'll be able to avoid getting hit. Suddenly I felt a small increase in my strength enter my body thank God James did what I asked him to do.

I knew that the only way for me to make this guy get down is to make him angry which is what I hope I could accomplish before time runs out. just like last time four lightning bolts was shot at me and from what I could see that half of them were aimed at my left arm which made me feel mad. This guy didn't even care if he's opponent dies as long as he wins. I dodged the two bolts that wasn't aimed at my arm but the once that were aimed at it, I pretended I couldn't dodge them. Which was something I regrated a lot.

"AGHHHHH." I screamed from the top of my lungs from the pain I was experiencing. But this was all going according to my plan.

'James add 100 points to each of my stats.'

I ignored all the notifications and ran to one of the houses in the village and went inside and it was well furnished I didn't have any time, so I went inside one of the bedrooms and looked around and I was lucky enough to find what I needed on the bed there some cloths I went ahead and grabbed a cloth or two and tore them.

But before I wrapped it around my injured arm, I wanted to try my luck and look around more which made me feel happy that I took this choice. Inside one of the drawers there was a small medical kit.

I took out some medicine from inside the medical kit and started to pour it on my arm which was very painful but not as painful as getting hit by many lightning bolts. After I finished cleaning the wound, I wrapped it up using a couple of bandages. I threw the rest of the medical kit inside my storage ring in case something like that happened again. before I left the house, I checked my stats

'It's a good thing I maxed out half of my stats. Even though I can max out to more of my stats I'll refrain myself from doing so. At least I might be able to do so while fighting this guy in the skies. So, I don't rise any kind suspicions.'. I walked out of the house determined that I could win now with my plan and the increase in stats and power level.

"Was that your last struggle?" asked the guy in the clouds and I simply just looked at him without saying anything.

"Looks like I'll need to throw more bolts at you to fix that behavior of yours." he said in an angry voice. Next thing I know ten bolts of lightning was thrown at me.

I started to run while dodging all the lightning bolts that was aimed at me. But while dodging I realized something different in each of those bolts.

The speed.

each bolt was thrown at me with different speeds and the most noticeable thing was that the last bolt was the fastest. Which I barely dodged at the last second which left a small scratch on my helmet.

"You're getting good at this aren't you?" said the guy with an amused voice.

"When are you going to get down from there?" I answered his question with another. and instead of answering my question he just kept throwing more bolts at me. I did a great job dodging the bolts. But no matter how good I was some bolts still hit me. One bolt hit my right leg while the other bolt hit my chest. It was painful But I had to fight through the pain. I started to ask James to add some state points to my agility but in small portions from three to seven points each ten seconds.

But then I noticed something the number of bolts and their speed are getting less and slow.

'He's reaching his limit.'

I thought to myself. matter how strong a person is he will reach his limit eventfully

"Ok that's it." said the guy inside then clouds and then I saw him a guy wearing heavy armor the armor was white and gold in color and felt very majestic. He raised his hand and lightning bolts started hitting his hand and looking closely I could see a heavy sword being created in his hand from the lightning bolts.

"I have to say you're quite a strong one. But you do know you could've used your ability if you wanted a chance to defeat me, right?"

"Just get down here already."

"Have it your way." He answered and I sighed in relief. I tried to restore some of my energy before he gets down here. While he was throwing bolts at me, I was trying to adapt with the changes of the stats of my body and at the moment I have almost fully adapted maybe before the fight ends. Hopefully I will be able to fully adapt once the fight ends. and the only advantage I have on that guy is that I haven't used any mana yet and from the looks of it summoning this giant sword made of lightning hopefully took what's left of his mana and he won't be able to use it for long.
