Chapter 7: Gossip

"What do you want now?" He asked in a cold voice.

"I-I need you to apologize!" She said catching her breath.

Marcus rolled his eyes before brushing her off a second time. Now she was really ticked. He only knew those two guys for their immature schemes and bullying, not enough to care whether or not they were injured. Prue marched up behind him and grabbed his hand. He sighed with frustration and turned around. He was actually surprised that she would make a third attempt at following him. When he finally noticed that he too was gripping on her hand, he switched his head so he looked away. She let her hand slip from him as she cleared her throat.

"Can we at least go check on them?" She asked looking away.

He clenched his fists in frustration.

"They're a waste of our time, we're gonna be late for class." He said in a cold voice.

He quickly grabbed her hand and led her to their next class. Prue blushed a little as her hand was held in his strong grasp. She felt weird, but happy at the same time. They arrived to class just in time, right before the bell rang. When he pushed the door open and it clasped against the wall. Everyone looked at them in shock. No matter the circumstances, all they saw was her hand in his. The students began to gossip as they walked to their desks, which were side by side. They sat down and looked into opposite directions. A blush crept into the corner of their cheeks.

'Why do I feel so weird?! It's not like I like him!' Prue thought as she took down notes for her class.

'It's not like I like her!' Marcus thought as he took down his notes.

….

When the day class was over, there were only two words spoken, or so it seemed. Prue and Marcus, the two names are spoken all over the school.

"I heard that Prue and Marcus Derek were dating!" Everyone gossiped in the halls.

Prue and Marcus walked out of the classroom together, not intentionally. Everyone cleared the way as they walked to their lockers. Prue has never been so embarrassed in her life! She blushed every time he popped into her mind, which was quite often.

'Why can't I get him out of my head?!' She thought as she slammed her locker shut.

Marcus was thinking the same thing. He too was at his locker with such thoughts trapped within his mind. He wasn't blushing as bad, but he felt as if he was.

'So annoying!' He thought as he couldn't stop thinking of her.
