Chapter 6: K.O.

The boy threw Marcus aside and the other turned around to face Prue. She had a determined look on her face as if she was willing to get hurt if it meant Marcus didn't. Of course, she was only doing this so her father wouldn't get mad. It was her father's wish for Marcus to feel welcome. Prue and Brian are like his genies, his wish was their command, and if they weren't to fulfil it, they would be punished. Marcus groaned as he lifted himself off the ground. The two boys knew who Prue was, but they didn't care. Prue put her hands on her hips and glared at them. Marcus wiped some blood off the corner of his mouth and glared at them. Neither Boy was paying attention to Marcus, only Prue. Marcus walked closer and rolled his eyes in irritation.

'She's so annoying.' Marcus said to himself.

The two boys stepped closer to Prue as she continued to glare. Both boys looked at each other with an evil smile.

'She's so cute!' They thought in unison.

The two of them reached out to touch Prue. Her glare turned into small fear as they did. Suddenly, Marcus reached out and grabbed both of their arms. He had a glare on his face and his grip tightened every second. The two boys then glared at Marcus.

"Do you want to die?!" One of the boys mocked.

Marcus smiled a little before looking at Prue. Prue was in complete shock at what Marcus was doing.

Suddenly Marcus threw one of the boys over his shoulder landing him onto the hard ground. His head hit the cement hard enough so he went unconscious. Prue and the conscious boy stood in shock. Marcus then smiled a bit more, but his smile looked a bit-psychotic. Prue stepped back surprised. Was this really the Marcus she knew? Without hesitation, he then punched the second boy. The blow knocked him to the ground. The boy went unconscious immediately. Times like these are excusable for Marcus to let loose. Just like Prue and Brian with peace and quiet, this is how Marcus vented. He even takes karate and jiu-jitsu classes on weekends. Before being able to process what had happened, Prue was pulled off the terrace. She looked up as her mind raced. Marcus had her by the hand and was pulling them through the halls of the academy. Students from all around gossiped about them and everyone thought they were dating. Marcus didn't stop running until she ran out of the hall. The small smiled stayed stuck to his face. Finally, they stopped. Prue put her hands on her knees as she breathed. They both stopped to take a quick breath. Prue then looked up and saw the smile on Marcus's face. Sure she was thankful he helped her, but it doesn't excuse knocking out two students. Marcus looked up and remembered who he was with. His smile slowly faded as the seconds passed.

"What were you thinking?! They have to go to the hospital now!" Prue yelled quietly so the other students wouldn't hear.

Luckily they stopped around a corner as the next class started so no one could see or hear them. Marcus became slightly irritated by her comment.

"No, what were you thinking! Those boys were fighting with me, not you! I didn't need your help, you only made things worse!" He said brushing her off and walking away.

Prue wasn't the type to fight with people, but this really ticked her off. She followed him down the hall and ran to catch up with him. His speed walk was pretty fast. Trying to catch up, she almost ran. Finally, she caught him. He was all ready to the other end of the corridor by the time she started running so it took her a little bit to catch up. She grabbed his shoulder and he stopped. Though he was slightly irritated, he didn't brush her off like usual.
