The options were so numerous that they covered the entirety of his vision. From the numerous options Lake could spot a few interesting sounding roles, [Martial Saint], [Heavenly Sage], [Harem King], [Slaughterer]… The options were too much and they made Lake dizzy. Chapter 123: Disappearing into the night

Seeing that the woman had finally died, Lake felt slightly relieved.

He rarely used the Writer of Fate ability due to its high mana cost to effect ratio so he wasn't sure how it would work out in the end.

When he was in the mana storm, he used the excess mana he was absorbing to push the limits of his skill.

It was meant to be extra insurance and he was glad to see it pay off. 

If the effects had been any weaker and the woman had survived, Lake didn't know what he would've done. 

Staring at the disturbing blob of fate extending from the woman's head, Lake was prepared to go and collect it but stopped and frowned.

"It still hasn't disconnected..."

Wiggling above the woman's decapitated head was the disgusting mass of black fate.

It was jumping and squirming, looking as if something was trying to break out from inside.
