16 TWO BIRDS IN ONE STONE

"Ouch!" Zoe grimaced as she bumped into the chest of a brawny, gigantic man.

As if she slammed into a wall, she massaged her head and squinted her eyes. She glanced up to look at who dared collided with her while she was walking to the hospital.

The enormous bald man with barbell earrings and a tattoo of an eyeless demon whispering on his neck glowered down on her, which caused her to shiver in fright.

"Look who's here," the lady in the lifesaver which she encountered on her first day at Lord Howe Island, smirked as she came forward.

The colossal man stepped backward and cleared the way for his master to present herself.

"Who would have known we would meet in MY hospital?" she sniggered, emphasizing the word 'my', as she raised her brow and crossed her arms.

Zoe gulped and stared at the three-floor building in front of her and the man just as massive as it.

"I guess you were here to buy some medicine for your mental illness, you psycho. Don't worry, my dear. We have a lot of stocks. I would recommend the pharmacist to give you a discount." The lady jeered on.

Zoe recalled her intentions for going to this clinic in the midst of this aesthetic island. In order that her nightmares, which is scarier than this, would not haunt her again, she went out of her hotel to get here.

She will not be intimidated by these obstacles who have no room in her life!

"What a small world, madam!" Zoe snickered. "I was exactly looking for you."

"You were looking for me?" the lady curiously asked as she narrowed her eyes.

"Yes. I want to know if your 'slave' was already out of danger." She answered with her voice 'louder,' on the word 'slave,'.

"You took care of her, don't you? She works for you after all. I hope you didn't let her pay for her hospital expenses when you were the reason she almost died."

She added on. "Because if not, what would they say about the stock owner of Lord Howe Island? She's a selfish mean witch who doesn't watch over her staffs," She tilted her head with a gleam in her eye.

The lady's mouth opened as she glared at Zoe.

"Of course! What do you take me for? She's inside if you wish to see for yourself, for goodness' sake! Who do you think you are?!"

"That's great! I hit two birds in one stone! I was going to ask you for her address so I can visit her before leaving this island. God was on my side." Zoe coyly said with doe eyes and flipped her hair.

The lady scowled. "Leave my property at once!"

She fumed and rapidly turned her back from Zoe, stomping her feet heavily as she walked to her car. The giant man gave he an evil look before he left and followed her.

Zoe smiled triumphantly and waved her hand to her as the car move.

"Remember her face," Lady Zhou ordered her huge security guard after she can breathe normally.

"This lady is like a lump of fatty meat which made my blood pressure rise up to its highest every time I would see her!" She fumed.

"I hope your pretty little face can still produce that smile after what I will do to you," she smirked as she devised a plan that will rip her good.

Meanwhile, Zoe breathed out a deep sigh of relief and continued on her way inside the hospital.

Even though she was sidetracked for a moment, she knew her goals. She searched for the pharmacy first so she could buy her medicines.

"Do you have some antidepressants?" She brought it out before the pharmacist and asked if they have them.

The pharmacist looked at the prescription and then at Zoe, her eyes widened as she recognized her.

"Zoe? Zoe Cheng?!" she exclaimed as she almost jumps to her feet.

Zoe narrowed her eyes and examined her. She didn't look familiar to her.

"Do I know you?" she inquired as she tried to remember who she was.

The pharmacist scratched her head, feeling uncertain if she would introduce herself or not.

"Not really," she responded as she glanced sideways and looked at her again. Zoe smiled and nodded, prodding her to carry on.

"I'm Amity Song. We were college batchmates." She smiled sheepishly.

"Wow. Of all places!" Zoe said with her lips curved upward.

Her brows were still knitted though as she wondered why she knew her while she can't remember her face down the memory lane.

As if she understood the confusion going on in Zoe's mind, she explained herself away.

"I always watched you during debates and public speaking. You're not just beautiful but you're so intelligent as well. I am a fan," she admitted while clutching her hands in admiration and stared at her without batting an eyelash.

"I see! That's great!" Zoe shouted while waving both of her closed fists on air. She didn't know how to react.

She's not used to people openly admiring her. "Uhm, can I have the medicine now?"

"Of course! Wait, I'll get it for you. I'll also give you one more box as a gift for you. It's so nice to meet you and talk with you today." Amity exclaimed as she rushed to get Zoe's Prozac.

'Well for once, that evil lady said the right thing. I did get a discount.' Zoe thought as she watched Amity scramble to assist her with her need.

"If you need anything else, just call me. I'll help you in the best way I can." Amity grinned from ear to ear as she gave two boxes of Prozac to Zoe.

"Thank you!" Zoe closed her hand and half-bowed to Amity in sincere gratitude. "Actually I have a favor to ask you."
