Gao Quin was still in a daze when she stared at her best friend, determination was clearly seen in her eyes, she only feared that if she did run away, she would be alone, she just can't imagine the terrible things that might happen if her witch of a mother really decides to take her away. Then a soft knock was heard from their door, it must be her brother, oh right, she hasn't even asked Fua Lin about her brother yet, but she remembers that she will be sleeping in her room tonight, she smiled at the idea of interrogating her later.

"That must be Gao Chen, come on, let's go down and have dinner first." Gao Quin stood up and stretched, and when she was already standing by the door, she noticed that the girl did not follow her.

"Is it okay if I stay here, I'm a bit tired, I just want to sleep." Fua Lin said, truth be told, she was really worried about her current situation with her mother, didn't her father said that the sole custody case was filed but did not really tell her what the result was, she wondered if her custody was really with her mother. And her grandmother was still in the ICU, she was hoping to see her grandmother tomorrow too, so many things have happened just today, she was really exhausted emotionally.

"Are you sure?" Gao Quin asked, but seeing the tired look on her face, she did not argue back and closed the door behind her, perhaps she needed to be alone for a bit.

Gao Chen, on the other hand, was busy preparing the dining table, he hastily set the table after knocking on his sisters' door to tell them that dinner is ready. Unknown to Gao Quin her brother was the one often preparing their meals ever since they were young, their Father was busy being both mom and dad in their household, it was just recently that he did not have time to cook for them since he was really busy with his graduation, thesis, college application and finding a way to seal the deal with Fua Lin, the latter was the hardest part.

Gao Quin never paid attention to whoever was in the kitchen, all that mattered was as long as she has food on her plate."Oh brother, you cooked! I did not know you can cook?!" Gao Quin exclaimed while pulling out her chair, but her brother was not looking at her, he seemed waiting for another person to appear. "she said she doesn't want to eat and wants to sleep instead." then she reached for the noodles which looked very appetizing, with a silky egg on top, which was drizzled with spring onions and garlic, hmmmm.

Gao Chen slapped her hand,"Don't touch it, that's for Fua Lin." then got another bowl of noodles and put in front of his sister, the noodles that he served Gao Quin was extremely ordinary, unlike the one he took, this was so unfair, she grunted.

"Hey don't take that, I already told you Fua Lin doesn't want to eat, just give me her share, I know she would really like that." but her plea went to deaf ears as her brother went upstairs bringing the food tray with him, people in love are really stubborn, Gao Quin just shook her head and tasted her food, it looked ordinary but the taste was really good, so her brother not only knows how to cook, but he cooks really well too.

Thud...Gao Chen knocked on his sisters' door knowing that Fua Lin is still awake, she probably can't sleep, based on their previous conversations, he knows that if she was under a lot of pressure, it would be difficult for her mind not to wander around. He was already standing outside the door for two minutes, there seems to be no movement from the room, so he opened the door and noticed that the door going to the patio was opened, the curtains were dancing because of the breeze. Gao Chen frowned, what was he doing outside, its chilly tonight, so without any delay he got the blanket and went straight out the patio.

Under the pale light of the moon, stood the girl who was still deep in her own thoughts, he could not help but sigh, did she only wanted to talk to him over the phone, was she only comfortable if they were talking on the phone? He took the blanket from his hand and gently wrapped her in it. "What do you were you thinking staying out in this cold?" he suddenly said, startling Fua Lin.

"I was just thinking." she said, grabbing the blanket, "it's not that cold you know.", she looked at him only for a few seconds then decided to look away. He wanted her to talk freely to him like they used to every night, or was it because she misunderstood that he liked someone else.
