Run away from Home

Once they arrived at the Gao residence, Fua Lin was greeted by the teary-eyed Gao Quin, who immediately gave her a warm hug, "Baby are you alright?" she softly said.

"I'm fine Qinqin, and grandma's fine too, so don't worry too much." Fua Lin told her best friend who looked more worn out about the incident than her.

"Xiao Qin, bring her to your room first to unpack, and then come down in the kitchen to have dinner, just give me thirty minutes to prepare dinner." Gao Chen said which totally shocked his sister, her brother can cook? how come she doesn't know about it. Gao Chen patted Fua Lins' head again before leaving towards the kitchen, and again his sister was shocked for the second time today, what was that physical contact about, is her brother making a move on Fua Lin?

"Hey, Qinqin, are you okay?" Fua Lin said while raising her hands in front of Gao Quin, she seemed lost in her own bubble.

"Oh, I'm fine! Come on, lets unpack your things first" she then grabbed Fua Lin hurriedly to her room, she can't take it any longer, she wanted to know if her brother confessed to Fua Lin, already forgetting the tragedy that happened to her best friend earlier.

---Inside Gao Quins' room-----

"How are you Fua Lin, really?" Gao Quin asked worriedly when her best friend suddenly fell silent after getting all her clothes inside the cabinet, she remembered her brothers' reminder not to ask her about what happened but she just couldn't help herself.

Sigh."Did you know that my mother was there when it happened? Actually, she caused my grandmother to hit her head and after she saw grandmother was bleeding, she ran off, like a coward she was and abandoned us again." Fua Lin said bitterly, she can't believe that her own mother would be such a terrible human being and did not even dared help her knowing she was already terrified.

"I heard Aunt Zeyi was there, but I did not know that she cause this to happen to grandma, she's really awful. What did that old witch want this time Fua Lin?" Gao Quin said angrily, she knew too well that her mother meant nothing good is about to happen. Chen Zeyi left Gao Quin and her father for another man who was far more wealthy in the pretence of working overseas for a project and did not even bother checking on how her daughter all these years.

At first, Fua Lins' father hid the infidelity of her mother saying that they are just working overseas, but as the years passed, her father could no longer take it and told her the truth before leaving her with her grandmother to follow Chen Zeyi to the US and see if they can still mend their marriage. Fua Zhao was madly in love with Chen Zeyi and all this time knowing that the woman was only with him for money, he did not mind at all, so he continually chased after his wife like an old fool.

"She wanted me to come with her to the US, and be with her new family. She said that she and father have divorced and now I am under her care." Fua Lin said seriously, would she really need to go with her mother, what about her grandmother, what about school, and Gao Quin and....what about Gao Chen?

"What are you talking about Fua Lin? Did you forget, you still have a father, and my dad said that Mr Fua already filed for sole custody for you and besides you'll no longer be minor in a few months, so she can't take you,.. right?" Gao Quin was getting worried now, she was not sure as well of what she is talking about, but if Aunt Zeyi were to take Fua Lin, what about her, what will happen to their friendship, this thought alone made her heart suddenly felt hollow.

"Don't worry Qinqin, I will not go with her no matter what, if she forces me, then.....I will run away from home" Fua Lin declared.

"Don't say that Fua Lin, running away from home, you can always stay here!" Gao Quin was alarmed, she knows that her best friend will definitely do what she was saying especially if she is forced.

"They would know that I will stay here, I don't want to get you in trouble too. But don't worry, that was just the plan, I promise that I will never go with her to the US no matter what happens," she said these things to calm down her best friend who seemed agitated at the thought of her running away from home, but if her mother would really force her, then she will have no choice but to leave.
