The Song In Heart

The next day I had a meeting and planned how the workflow should be for the coming weeks.

"Hi, Lee" I called him early in the morning.

"Good Morning George. How is Mr.D feeling now?"

"Mr.D will have to take things slow. So we will have to help the production of the drama."

"Most of the things are ready here. We are waiting till you come back from vacation to start filming."

"Mhmm.... I will have to check on the background audio and the CG scenes."

"Oh George, I heard the title song of the drama. The song is so beautiful."

"I still didn't get to hear it... I'll ask Kevin to send it to me. Do you think we can use it to promote the drama?" I asked Lee as I was thinking of a plan to make this drama a hit.

We talked about the progress and the work for a while and Lee promised to collaborate with the art director regarding the other work. Kevin has been a big help when it comes to dealing with Mr.D's work and he had never said no to any request I had.

That evening Kevin send me the title song for the drama. I waited till Ted comes home so I can listen to it with Little Moon and him.

While having evening tea, I let them hear the title song.

"This is so calming and soothing," said Ted.

"What do you think of the lyrics?" I asked Ted.

"Hmmm... I don't know why... I feel like I can connect with the feelings of this song."

He felt the same that I felt when listening to the song. I looked at her. She still didn't say anything but went on listening to the song a few more times. She suddenly stood up and went to the studio. She came back with a sheet of paper in hand.

Ted and I both looked at her in a way as to what she is doing. She listened to the song while comparing what is written on the paper a few times, before handing me the paper. Ted peeped into the paper to see what was written.

We both were amazed. The lyrics were the same as the words written on the paper in handwriting. At the end, there was a date with a signature. So the original song was written almost five years before.

Little Moon looked at us, "Brother D wrote this. I remember that day. I was sitting beside him and painting some artwork, while he was reading a book. He asked me for a piece of paper and wrote this asking me to keep this safe. "

"Then why did he said someone else wrote it." I asked her looking at Ted.

"Maybe he wanted to surprise you, sis," Ted said.

While we think about how this happened, Little Moon said,

"Use this for the promotion of the drama. First, use the soundtrack. The minds of people will naturally fall in love with the soundtrack. Next release the full title song with a black video, let people visualize it themself, the story they want to see."

I couldn't think of a better idea than what she suggested. The soundtrack itself was so addictive, while it sounds so calming. After discussing this promotional idea with the art director, Lee and the others involved in the drama, I got Kevin to call Mr.D, who was still staying at the hospital.

"Hi, Mr. D. How are you feeling now?" I was on a video call with him.

"Feeling ok. But not so good as well." He laughed. "Wish I can get back home soon."

"But it's good to take care of your health too. You really need to rest for a while." I was truly concerned about his health.

"I heard that you have started to be the head of the Drama production. That's Good George and thank you."

"It's not a big deal Mr.D. I am happy to help a good person at any time. "

"But it's too much work for you, I think as an actor."

"Don't worry I can manage. Actually Mr.D I wanted to talk about the title song."

I looked at him and asked, "Mr.D did you write that song?"

He looked at me surprised. I realized I had to explain things out.

"Little Moon after listening to the song said you wrote it."

"Hmm... yes I did."

I showed him the sheet of paper she gave me with the handwritten lyrics. Mr.D looked surprised.

"Yes Mr.D, she kept this safe," I said while smiling at him.

We talked about various things for a while, before I told him about our promotional idea.

"I think it's a good idea. We can build up curiosity among viewers," said Mr.D approving our idea.

"Little Moon came up with the idea."

"I guessed it. And the soundtrack was basically created sometime back to help her sleep."

"Was she ill before?" I asked.

"Yes, she had a high fever and was hospitalized for a week. After returning home she was scared to sleep."

That means everything around the story was preplanned by destiny. One single word describes these feelings, LOVE.

I had a conference call with the studio and Lee at the same time to arrange a way to promote the soundtrack. We have a lot of things to plan out and I was asked to have small videos on Instagram about the work in progress. I thought of having little snippets of Little Moon drawing and creating audio to be added as well.

I went through the photos I have taken of her while working. There was this one photo of her, lying on the ground with her feet up in the air with her left hand propped under her chin. Head slightly slanted and drawing away seriously without a care in the world. It was a starlight night with the rays of light falling on her. She really looked like she was coming out from a dream.

I suddenly realized and got together with the team and told them to make a title song version with this image used. Everyone was very surprised to see this photo of Little Moon. After a few more rounds of talk, we agreed on how to do it. But I asked them to keep this a secret as I wanted this to be a surprise to Mr.D and Little Moon.
