Yui froze on the spot as Hina introduced herself as my girlfriend. To be honest my heart skipped a bit with shock as well.

What is she plotting now?

Yui looked at Hina and then looked at my hand where our ring was supposed to be.

"I see"

Although I vowed to never see her or speak to her again, I felt a knot in my throat as the words I wanted to say were not coming out.

I wanted to tell her I took off the ring because I wanted to forget about her.

I took off the ring because I didn't want her in my life in any form or shape.

What's the point of telling her any of that now?

Yet I felt like I should tell her.

I would have been okay with her hating me or holding a grudge against me for never contacting her again, and not keeping a single promise I made.

But I didn't want her to think I took off the ring because I got into a relationship with another girl.

What is Hina even thinking?
