The man chuckled. "Why were you so angry just now?"

Ning Yao felt extremely embarrassed when she thought about how she had yelled at Clarence. "No... It's nothing... How may I help you, Mr. He?"

Did he call to tell her that she wasn't chosen?

"After considering all interviewees, Miss Ning, you've been hired. The probation period is two months. You can come to work tomorrow. Is there a problem?"

"Report to the HR department first, then Martin will take you around the company to familiarize you with the layout and people. Come meet me at noon."

"By the way," said Clarence, "Your office is just across from mine to make things more convenient."

Ning Yao followed Clarence's line of sight and saw that her office was in the cubicle opposite the boss's desk!

This was too scary. Wouldn't it be impossible to even slack off for the entire day? It was like being in jail!

"O-okay." Ning Yao forced out a smile.

The man who had arranged everything was keenly aware of Ning Yao's mood. "You don't like this set-up?"

"No!" Ning Yao's smile became even brighter. "It's my honor to be in the same office as you!"

He Huai chuckled. She didn't know that he had seen through her forced smile.

"Alright, you can go first." The man lowered his head and was already in working mode, exuding a serious aura.

Ning Yao did not dare to disturb him any longer. After exiting the room, she went to report to the HR Department and found Martin.
