Chapter 14 Regret is the end

." Zick!!!! " Mike yelled his name." How dare you chase her out of the house, where will she go?" Mike slammed the table angrily. " You are the biggest fool in this world I ever knew, how can you let go of such a gem of a person???"

Even if he won't admit it he regretted throwing her out of the house like that, come to think of it, Mellisa always obeys everything he told her to do. She used to always do everything he wanted, and never once as she talked back to him or yell at him but he was the one who treated her badly even when she did not do anything wrong to him. Without saying anything Zick rose off the chair and left the house.

After making sure that Mellisa was in a deep slumber both Linda asked the doctor to arrange a room where the two of them could sleep because they were far away from home, they couldn't leave Mellisa alone at the hospital, so they waited to hear the result of her tests. Another day passed while still waiting for the cold to be out of Mellisa's body so that they could run more blood tests on her and decide if she need to undergo surgery or not.

Maxwell was currently in Doctor's office while Linda was keeping Mellisa company.

" So doctor, I'm sure the result is out now right? " Maxwell questioned. " Will she need to undergo surgery or not, I've left one of my daughters home alone, I need to know if we can take her home with us and continue with the treatment at City A. "

The doctor sighed dejectedly. " Mr. William, Mellisa is 2 days pregnant. " The doctor said. " So it means that she can't undergo any surgery, and her life will be in danger. We will have to wait until she gives birth to her child first. But you don't have to worry because her condition is not that critical she can undergo surgery after giving birth. "

So what the doctor was saying, he could not even deny it because he knew that he was the first man to have sex with Mellisa. After a few seconds, he finally gathered his thoughts and spoke. " D….Doctor, are you sure that she is pregnant….I…I mean how can she be pregnant after having sex once? " Maxwell stammered, unable to believe that he was going to become a father. " Okay it's fine, but take care of her and don't let her stress too much because it might affect her health and the baby." The doctor explained...

" So can I take her home now? " Maxwell questioned.

" Yes you can take her home after paying the hospital Bill at the receptionist. " the doctor said."Please make sure she does not stress herself no matter what, and try to keep her happy. "

"Okay doctor, I will do my best. " Maxwell said rising off the chair. " Thank you, doctor, I will take my leave now.

After paying all the hospital bills Maxwell went to the ward and found Linda and Mellisa quite like they were going to bury a dead cat. " Melissa, the doctor discarded you…..which means you can now go home. " Maxwell said as he close the door behind him.
