Chapter 12: Ten Months Later

~ Ten months later – The day of the entrance exam of the U.A. ~

Inside a big lecture hall, you could see our new Pika Pika no Mi user sitting on his chair, bored out of his mind, listening to the instructions for the practical test of the entrance exam.

The written exam was already over, and Izuku was sure that he got most of the questions right, so he wasn't that nervous about that part, but now was the instruction of the practice part of the test, and it worried him a bit until it was said that they had to fight against robots.

He was unsure if he could defeat other humans without injuring them since the devil fruit was still hard to control for him, even after ten months of training.

Hearing that he had to fight against robots, combined with the fact that he trained until late at night yesterday, Izuku slowly put his head on the table before him and only listened halfheartedly to what Present Mic said.

'I should have taken a break yesterday like Nejire said.' Izuku thought to himself with a sigh while squinting over at his table neighbor.

To his immense displeasure, it was Katsuki Bakugo, Izuku's childhood friend and later main bully.

He could already see Katsuki glaring at him for having the audacity to attend the exam.

'After three hours of glaring at me, someone would think he would get bored of it.' Izuku thought, thinking back to the written exam, where he could feel Katsuki glaring at him like he was right now.

It surprised him that Katsuki didn't even get a warning since it could also seen as cheating in the written test when a student looks at another.

Katsuki himself left him alone after the sludge Villain incident ten months ago and kept it at verbal abuse, to Izuku's immense relive since he didn't want to explain why he turned into light when somebody attacked him.

Looking back at the last ten months, Izuku could only see training, training, and more training.

Every day, he would wake up, train, then go to school, come home, and train once again for the whole ten months.

At weekends and school holidays, he also trained for the entire day.

Most of the time, it was simple physical training, but sometimes, he also trained to get better control of his fruit.

What happened to be more difficult than expected.

Even though the physical strength he needed for the fruit at the start was reduced by a considerable amount, it still didn't help him that much since the fruit still had a massive tax on his body.

At least with his training, he could now fight with his fruit power for a limited amount of time, but the time in which he could effectively fight was still low.

He couldn't do anything against it since the bodies in the One Piece world, in general, are different from those here on his planet.

On Izuku's planet, the physical limitations on humans are way higher than the ones in the One Piece world.

In the future, Izuku could only hope to get more Strengthening Pills and Sea King Flesh to get stronger.

He would undoubtedly train further in his free time, but at the same time, he didn't want to live only for training like he had in the last ten months.

One more thing that Izuku had done in the last ten months was try to sell the Universal Panacea that he got from fishing with the help of Nejire.

But after many failed attempts to sell the pill, they gave up.

Nobody believed in a pill like that to exist.

Of course, they didn't give up entirely.

Since they couldn't sell the Universal Panacea on any site or shop, they decided to create their own online site to sell it there.

They named the shop Mystery Shop and planned to sell everything they didn't need on the site in the future.

Until now, there is still only the Universal Panacea listed, but they hope to get more things to list on the site in the future.

If they earned enough money, they even planned to create a Giveaway function where even low-income people could win a pill that could save their lives from death.

That is, of course, only under the condition that their site would finally make sales.

They even built a money-back function for those who don't believe in the products, but until now, it was still not sold until now.

'Maybe we should make some advertisement to sell it.' Izuku muttered before noticing that all the students were watching him.

Looking around him, Izuku couldn't stop asking, "Is S... something wrong?" came out of his mouth with a slight stutter.

He improved after his contact with Nejire, but that didn't mean he completely lost his nervousness in front of others.

The fact was that he was still a nervous wreck in front of other people he didn't know.

In the end, even after all these years, his only friend is Nejire.

"Look! He didn't even hear what I said! I called it. He didn't listen to the Professor even one bit! He shouldn't be here if he doesn't even listen to the rules of the competition. This is no game, so better leave immediately!" A tall, dark blue-haired boy with glasses called out, pointing his finger at Izuku.

"Okay, Okay, Listener. Sit down. I just wanted to explain the point with the last robot, so please give me a bit more time. The last Robot is a gimmick that could also seen as an Arena trap. Arena Traps are massive Villain Bots scattered through the city replicas to trap and weed out people from getting high scores. They're not meant to be fought, which is why they're worth no points." Present Mic said before the blue-haired boy once again sat himself down.

'It seems the blue-haired boy asked about the fourth kind of robot. But why would I be included in his question? How did that even happen? In the first place, all the rules and robots are in the pamphlet we got before we entered this room, so why didn't he just read it?' Izuku thought to himself, a bit dumbfounded about the blue-haired boy.

"Okay, Listener, you all know your set arena, and now you can all go into the buses so they can bring you to your test! Please enter the correct bus that is leading to your arena."

Not bothering with anything anymore, Izuku stood up and followed the crowd into the buses that stood right out of the hall that they just used.

While walking out of the hall, Izuku could now feel two hating glares following him.

One of them was, of course, Katsuki, which didn't surprise Izuku that much, but the look of that Blue-haired tall boy still made him halt for a second.

'Why would he hate me so much for something like not listening to a lecture? Is that even the reason he hates me? I don't know since he never told me!'

Even after thoroughly thinking about it, Izuku still didn't know what his problem was, but he didn't care anymore either way.

Izuku sat himself down on the bus he was sorted into and waited until it finally arrived at the locker rooms, where they were told to change clothes to the ones they brought with them.

After changing clothes, it didn't take long before they were picked up by one of the teachers and were led to a massive gate for the practical exam.

Behind the massive gate was a big city, seemingly their test ground.

'How much did that cost, and how often could I fish for that amount of money? The fact that many such city test grounds are scattered around here is disturbing.' Izuku thought to himself with some bitterness.
